The ambience and staff
A lot of kids and buffet for dinner was subpar. Also the air conditioning was leaking on day 1, but was fixed immediately.

Ravintolassa musiikki soi liian kovaa.

It only has one pool not two like their ad said, food was very limited and only a la carte because the only bufet they had children were not alowed. A la carte menu was very small menu so imagine eating tbe same thing everyday...
They made us wait extra 2 hours for check in and when we went to the room, the room was not cleaned pillows on the floor and dirty. After they changed our room they give us another one that smelled old.

The location is amazing. The sea is clear and it is even possible to see some fishes. The staff in the lobby is kind and some of the waitresses and barmans are always happy to help
Food is not the best and, in general, waitresses did not provide a good service

Fantastic location right on the beach! Had the most beautiful sundowns.
Extremely friendly and serviceminded staff. Great food and really appreciated the great coffee at the cafe. Good drinks at the bar. Spotless clean rooms, pool and common area. Great evening entertainment.
My kids enjoyed the pool, the tabletennis and the snackbar. And the oldest loved the beachvolley games.
We enjoyed every minute - thank-you to Sunscape Sabor!
The room and the porch was small.
Door to bathroom could not cloes properly. Safe not working.
A few recommendations for improvements:
- a drinks menu card would be very nice. Need inspiration on what to drink both with and without alcohol
- would be nice with fresh fruit juices for breakfast
- the tabletennis net should be fixed and a couple of new bats would be nice
- allow bigger children in the restaurant for "adults only"
- music for evening entertainment was one evening too aloud when trying to enjoy the food at the restaurant

Great hotel. Nice swimming pool and hotel beach.
Breakfast and other meals a la carte. Not many tables,waiting for table require sometime. Buffet available from next door hotel BUT only adults,children not allowed to eat there.

Obviously the weather. House cleaning staff are so nice and always ready to help and make sure you're happy with your room. Also the bar staff they were very fun and nice. The fun staff or activitie staff are fun. Great people and great personalities.
The food!! It was awful. Not sure what was going on but the cooking staff really could use lessons. The meat was so dry and the fish was very under cooked. Not much as far of fruits either. But what fruit they had out was good n fresh. Thank goodness for the fruits we all lived off that most the time. They have a little food truck that had good burgers hot dogs on it. The eggs were under cooked they layed in there own liquid. Yuck! Only problem with the bar was no top shelf liquor choices and the drink didn't have much liquor in at all even if u ordered a double. All in all I would no book at this place or Dreams or Secrets which are on either side of Sunscape and you can use those facilities if you are 18 yrs oe older. All 6 of us feel the same about this place and will not return.

The only buffet place didnt allow kids….

We liked the room with beautiful garden view ,the air conditioner and the phone didnt work , after two days, they changed our room to one better with ocean and garden view but the air conditioner didn't work neither. They couldn't fix it and they moved to Dreams to very nice room with access to all the restaurants. The room was spectacular but we liked the Sunset Garden view better. In addition they gave us two free massages and 2 days refund. Samuel Correa, Carlos Camargo and Karina Vazquez the Managers did a great effort to try to maintain us happy .

The beach was amazing. You could use some facilities of the resort attached (dreams). The resort itself is small and cosy and they have a lot of staff which makes it easy to keep everything tight and clean
Food. There are no healthy snack options, also not pre-packed snacks like crackers or cookies. Either u sit in the restaurant a la carte (where kids will always eat fries or nuggets) or fries and hot dogs.

the staff was very friendly and they were very helpful most of the time
rooms need to be updated, specifically the bathrooms. food needs a lot of improvement, the options were limited, the food was always cold in every meal. my husband got seek with the ceviche.

Major upgrade to the old section of Sunscape. This is likely why all the complaints about construction was talked about in previous posts. Sunscape is good deal for a “cheap” but beautiful getaway with the family. Secrets is definitely nicer and you have better selections and amenities (especially better alcohol). Dreams… well I was stunned by the renovations and beautiful rooms. Impressive renovations, excellent food and service (at Dreams and Secrets). The manager Karina is always working hard to meet customer needs and accommodate to all guest requests. I’ve seen her move from
Sunscape to Secrets and now Dreams. Everywhere she goes, she does amazing work and has the staff under control. I have no doubt that she will have this property running smoothly very soon. Still, no complaints, she just runs a tight ship and is starting a new resort from scratch. The bell boys at all 3 resorts (Dreams, Sunscape, and Secrets) are awesome snd deserve a promotion. Definitely coming back!
Lack of lounge chairs on the beach. By far biggest complaint.
Bar tender at Tortuga had a bad attitude and made poor drinks. Just got the feeling he didn’t like serving drinks to tourists. Poured mane of his drinks down the drain.

Hard to find a positive thing about it!
Shortage on beach towels and chairs;
Lack of a drink’s menu;
Kids club is a joke and hotel in general is not kid friendly;
Few restaurants options;
hotel is not prepared for rainy days - flood corridors, umbrella shortage and lack activities;
Bathroom drain flooding;
pod leaking

Location is perfect: near the beach, good for snorkel and kayak.
The size of the hotel is perfect for a family as well, not large, everything is near.
The hotel has attractions like snorkeling, kayaking, all included, no need to pay extra.
For kids, it is awesome, they have a team of entertainers that will entertain the kids for the whole day. Special thanks for Wendy who really spent a nice time with my 5 year old son, other than Jennifer and Marian. They are a fantastic team.
The breakfast had also a la carte options that were really good.
The beach was nice, clean water and sand. Only not that good for walking inside the water due lots of rocks, you will need shoes.
The food was not bad, but I would expect better food for the price. Also, there were no options for juice, like grape or orange, that was very frustrating for me (and my kids). I really would expect to have the chance to have orange juice as an option for drink.
The room size was below my expectation as well.
The bathroom had a shower with very low water pressure other than not having bidet sprayer neither a handheld showerhead.
The waiters could be more friendly, only one was really positive attitude and trying to really provide an above average service.

The place is quite, with beach access. The food is great. Beautiful place with good price.
Charging for wifi in 2022 is a nonsence! Havent seen something like that in years...
Also there were some ants in the room

We came for the diving! Loved the location, the view was amazing, the food was delicious and the staff were pleasant and attentive. The diving pier was a quick 3 min walk on the beach to the south of us. This resort had everything we needed.
Rooms were very clean, aesthetically pleasing and spacious although a bit dated.
