Murramarang Baile - Pet Friendly Holiday Home
About this house rental
Located in South Durras, this lovely house for R 3,637 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Baile is Gaelic for “where we come home to” and captures the sense of peace associated with this property. Murramarang Baile is the perfect setting to kick back with your family, including your fur child, to escape the stresses of busy modern day life. Tucked away at the end of a cul du sac, and backing on to bushland, you are surrounded by the natural timeless beauty that is South Durras. You can hear the crash of waves on the beach which is less than 400 metres from the cottage. The back yard is enclosed and a safe place for your dog to roam. The outside seating area in the back is a perfect place to sit back and read a good book and/or enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The house itself is well equipped with a range of games, books and DVDs. There is a washer and dryer, as well as barbecue in the back. There are three bedrooms two with queen size beds and a third with a double and single. You will have to provide your own linen & towels. There is WiFi in the house although you may not want to use it as there are lots of other activities to entertain children and adults alike. This is not just a rental property – it is a much loved holiday home. Consequently we do have a supply of basic condiments such as sugar, flour and spices in the fridge and pantry which you are welcome to use. We also ask that you treat the premises as you would treat your own home with care and respect. While dogs are allowed in the house we ask that they stay off the furniture and are not allowed in the bedrooms. We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you and your family. Please note the property is near Murramarang National park and is considered to be in a bush location so bird life and wildlife are abundant. Sleeps 6 people

Comfortable clean. Well stocked with essentials
Very quiet
Excellent. secure high fenced dog friendly back yard .comfortable verandah for reading.
Owners very understanding and obliging with last minute requests as needed to stay an extra night at beginning of stay.
Thankyou.
Just a thought. First day staying after long trip north from Victoria the weather was humid/hot .
Good supply of fans and ceiling fans in home for air circulation and windows open for cross ventilation. But was 35 degrees in house. According to digital thermometer in house.
Suggestion : maybe installation of air conditioning would be an idea for the future.
But all in all very comfortable , well located to other family and friends / wedding guests staying at Murramarang resort .An enjoyable stay. Walked to beach each morning and evening for a swim on a lovely beach and drive to dog friendly beach to give daughter's four legged friend a swim and run.
Thankyou.

The location is excellent for access to lovely beaches including a fantastic dog friendly beach. The garden is great and the wood heater makes for a cosy stay.

The house is in a quiet street, a short walk from the beach and easy walkable access to bush walks, bike paths, and other beaches. The house is well equipped, beds are comfortable and we had parrots, lizards and wallabies come visit in the garden. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed.

Loved the back verandah overlooking the national park with the great fully enclosed dog proof fence.

We had a great time here with our puppy. The large yard is well fenced and the house had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The property is about a 10 minute walk from Cookies beach, which is an excellent beach for children. Highly recommended.

Wanted a few days away with the family. Safe, quiet neighbourhood with access to beaches a short walk away.
House a bit dated and needs some TLC, and when we arrived, mozzies were in season so tough to use the outdoor sitting area.
Great base with a dog in tow as Fido friendly with big yard and dog beach short drive away.
Owners great and very responsive.

A enjoyable stay only small problem no fly screen doors on the large sliding doors and the shower in the bath room needed fixing

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The log fire was an absolute saviour as there is no other heating (apart from bar heaters in the bedrooms). Obvs not an issue in summer. It is a comfy bungalow and the kitchen is well equipped plus plenty of music and entertainment facilities.
My one major concern was the noise of the water heater which turns on every ten minutes or so 24 hrs a day. If you are staying in the end bedroom next to the bathroom this can be pretty disturbing for sleep.

We had a lovely stay with all the conveniences of home and a short distance from the beach. We really appreciated the use of fire wood for the pot belly, and the heaters as well. Our three primary children had a ball and enjoyed the movies available during the cold winter nights! The dog proof yard was a bonus. Thank you I would recommend a stay.

We spent a wonderful week in this delightful house!
The property and facilities are fantastic and the surroundings magnificent! The property manager was a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend this great homely place to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the beauty of Murramarang and the South Coast.
It felt like we had been invited as family guests ... hard to tell exactly what is the special mix that made it so but that's how we experienced it :-)!

The property is ok, it’s well equipped for a holiday stay with games and essential items. It would suit one family but perhaps not a couple of families/couples as it’s quite small and the bedrooms come directly off the living areas. The outdoor area/backyard was pretty good and made up for the small inside. Would be great for a dog. The house wasn’t particularly clean, it felt like no one had been there for awhile and small things that were listed weren’t actually available. A cross check of the house guide with what’s available would fix this i.e. the bike had a puncture, the soda stream was dirty and broken. We’re pretty relaxed about these things but if you’re after a pristine experience this isn’t it.The biggest complaint was the noise of the pump. Being on tank water ourselves we know this is essential but perhaps it should be moved, changed or serviced to make it quieter. In one bedroom in particular it made it impossible to sleep whilst others were up using water and generally the noise went through the whole house. Overall it was just ok, South Durras is beautiful and we have been going for years but wouldn’t return to this house. We stayed during the fires so lost power and communication before leaving earlier than planned. We were surprised not to hear from the owner during this time until I contacted to say we were leaving 2 days early.
