The apartment is located in the center of the Olhauo old town, very close to the market, harbor and many restaurants. The area around the aparment was clean and safe. The house was very well kept and beautifully renovated with an eye for nice details. The two bathrooms were modern and very clean. The large kitchen is very well kept and provides the possibility to prepare meals. The beds were comfortable. The two terraces were set up nicely with places to sit and enjoy the nice view of the city. Our contact Henri was very nice and was available for any needs we had. We had a great time and hope to be able to go back for a visit one day.

1er étage d’une maison de maître, superbement rénovée, beaucoup de charme, des aménagements très bien conçus, beaucoup de goût décoratif, des œuvres de Fabienne décorent les pièces, pour notre plus grand plaisir, très cosy, ce roof top est très appréciable, reposant tout en étant en ville. Nous nous sommes sentis aussi bien qu’à la maison. La rencontre avec nos merveilleux hôtes était un vrai plus sur cette semaine à Olhão 😊 Que de bons souvenirs !

Five stars across the board apart from overall, then 4 four. Why? 1. A property is being renovated directly across the street. The concrete mixer starts at 08.00 every morning. This I can forgive: one of the pluses of the apartment is that it is centrally located so coinciding with this kind of work is just bad luck, not the owner's fault. Less forgiveable is the property being renovated next door, by the owner's husband. The noise of angle grinders at 18. 30, when you are trying to relax outside with a drink, is not great. 2. The above mentioned individual (very helpful and polite) and the local agaent who showed us in at the beginning of our stay, sit at a table outside the cafe downstairs ALL day, quite often right outside the front door. This got a bit wearing after a while; we felt like our every movement was being monitored. It wasn't of course, but sometimes it felt like it. We had a great week and can thoroughly recommend both Olhao and the apartment but it might be worth asking if the building work described above has finished before booking, if you value peace and quiet.

La maison est idéalement située dans Olhāo : une proximité immédiate au marché et au port pour rejoindre les navettes qui nous emmènent sur les plages, l'accueil de Fabienne et Henri Pierre est très sympathique et nous nous sentons très bien dans cette maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Nous recommandons !

La maison de Fabienne et de son mari est magnifique, un mélange de contemporain et d'années 30, avec de hauts plafonds, décorée avec goût, spacieuse et agréable à vivre. Très belles terrasses et très bien située pour visiter le côté Est de l'Algarve et profiter des belles plages. Ce sont des gens disponibles, chaleureux et charmants. Merci également à Renato. Nos ados ont adoré !

The apartment is very well renovated, retaining all the charm of a characterful old building, with lots of modern comforts. There are two roof terraces, one directly off the kitchen and sitting room, and one higher up with great views of the white rooftops of Olhão and the church. A very relaxing place to stay, on a pedestrianised street a few minutes walk from the waterfront. Olhão itself is a great place to visit, even off season, when the weather is still mild, and most places, including the amazing fish and vegetable markets, are open year round.

This is a very pleasant apartment in a very good central location. It has traditional features and is an ideal place to stay in Olhao.

Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour à Olhao. La maison est très confortable, très bien décorée avec le charme de l'ancien. La maison se trouve en plein centre de la ville, marché, port à 200 m. La personne chargée de nous accueillir (Renato) est très sympa et Francophone (important, car les Portugais ne parlent pas beaucoup ni l'anglais, ni français).

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 kleinen Kindern in dieser Wohnung. Wir mochten den Stil mit den hohen Decken, es gab 2 Terrassen, eine die auf dem Dach zum Sonnen einlädt und eine zum verweilen oder zum Abendessen. Im Haushalt gab es alles was man brauchte, die Küche war sehr gut eingerichtet, es gab auch Stranduntensilien. Es war von der Lage her auch das beste Haus das wir bisher hatten, es war wirklich alles nur 5 Min. entfernt, egal ob Supermarkt, Fähre zu den Inseln oder auch der Bahnhof für Ausflüge. Fabienne war sehr locker und entspannt, ebenso Renato. Da wir betroffen waren von Streik, war der Rückflug sehr spät Abends. Wir durften trotzdem so lange wir wollten noch in der Wohnung bleiben. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir waren nun das 3. Mal in Olhao und werden sicher ein 4. Mal kommen im kommenden Jahr. Wir können das Haus definitiv empfehlen :)

Un logement à la hauteur du charme de la ville d’Olhão. Spacieux, magnifiquement décoré, idéalement placé, il participe de cette douceur de vivre que dégagent Olhão en général et le quartier ancien en particulier. On quitte les deux avec beaucoup de regret !

We stayed for 6 weeks around February 2019 and Fabienne, HP & family were really great owners - very helpful but chilled-out too. This is a restored and updated historic house with two generous outside spaces and wonderful views over the cubist roof-tops of the historic quarter of Olhao. We had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay - the pictures don't do justice to the size of the house! It has very high ceilings, great period furniture & lighting in the bedrooms, a good kitchen, comfy beds & a beautiful container-grown garden planted with succulents, agaves & architectural planting. Tables that comfortably seat 6 are both inside and out in the garden, along with loungers & shade equipment. All in, it's a really well-equipped property with a good mix of modern-comfort and historic detail. Noise from the street and cafe downstairs never bothered us. It's a gentle 3 minute stroll to the two fantastic food markets plus ferries to the islands, cafes, shops, supermarket, bakery, bars & restaurants - even the post office is less than 5 mins away. The location is perfect for exploring the old town and, with a car, you can be on your way out of town within 5 mins. Highly recommended!

Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete und saubere Wohnung in der Altstadt von Olhao. Was man wissen muß: Die Doppelbetten sind für große Menschen recht klein (140x190). Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist in der Nacht sehr ruhig und die Markthallen und Cafes in direkter Nähe. Ein Auto braucht man hier nicht!

This is a fabulous property in the heart of old Olhão which has so much to offer and all in walking distance. The house is just beautiful and has everything one could need for a self catering holiday. The ambience and attention to details is superb. I would thoroughly recommend renting this as you have everything at your door. The enormous daily fish and produce markets just down the old pedestrian path has a myriad of delicacies you can take home to cook, or you can eat out very reasonably, at a plethora of really excellent restaurants and all in walking distance. If you love to explore, discover little alleys, architecture crying out for help, street art, nature reserves, unspoilt islands than this is the place to go and the house to stay in. Fabienne was extremely helpful as was her husband.

La Maison est Parfaitement bien située, très fonctionnelle, spacieuse, et décorée avec Goût. Tout est fait pour que les hôtes soient à leur aise, comme chez eux ! La belle terrasse est très agréable aussi. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles et agréables. Pour les futurs occupants, retenez cette adresse !

Nous étions deux couples d amis et nous avons adoré notre séjour à Olhao. L appartement est très moderne, bien équipé et très bien situé. Rien à redire. Pas forcément besoin d une voiture. Bateau, train, taxi peuvent suffir. Après on retrouve le confort de ce bel appartement. Quand nous avons eu des questions, Fabienne ou son employée se sont montrées très disponibles. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Nous avons passé 10 jours très agréables en famille (6) dans ce bel appartement récemment rénové avec beaucoup de goût et facile à vivre, très bien équipé, avec ses 2 terrasses et la climatisation (et le wifi !), au cœur du vieux centre, près des restaurants, cafés et du marché sur la promenade au bord de l'eau. Les plages pas trop loin (bateau ou voiture). Sur une rue piétonne du centre ville, au dessus d'un café familial fermé le soir à partir de 20h30, ce qui n'empêche quelques bruits de la rue dans la soirée. Une adresse à retenir ! Die große Wohnung mit einer wunderschönen Dachterrasse lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles war perfekt.Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder. We had three guests in total; however, this space could easily accommodate more people. Great space both interior and exterior. Light and fresh decor with a great mix of modern furnishings within a traditional home. Well stocked kitchen including anything you could want for a self catering stay. This house has two great sized bathrooms one of which is separated. A bathroom with a shower room next door and the other with a bathroom and shower. There is no bath in the property which was absolutely fine for us as it was hot when we went. The lounge and kitchen are adjoined and both have access onto the outside space. There are two downsides to this property, however, minimal. There are no sunloungers for sunbathing which would be fantastic on the upper terrace as its very large and would get the sun for most of the day. Also in the mornings, early afternoons there is a coffee shop directly below which can be quite noisy. The street and surrounding area is quiet though and no noise at night which was great and you are very central. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend. We fell in love with Olhao and hope to return soon.

We stayed here 12 days with 3 people. We had a warm welcome by Celine and it felt like the owners really wanted us to have a good holiday. It is located in the historic old town with everything within walking distance such as the markets with fresh fish directly from the sea every day. The apartment is an old house that is restored nicely and is very well equipped. We really liked the large terrace with barbecue. We had a great time and I can really recommend you to stay here!
