It was only a one night stop over. Wouldn’t have stayed if it was any longer.

Location

We were woken up at 7am with drilling and building works going on. It actually sounded like they were in our room and drilling through our walls. Breakfast was awful. There were flies on the fruit, the toaster didn’t work, neither did the coffee machine (which looked dirty and disgusting. And the food just looked like it had been in the pot for weeks. We didn’t have it and went to a cafe for breakfast.

Location was perfect. In the heart of the old quarter but away from most of the noise

The walls were quite thin and many rooms shared walls with open airways so noise within the hotel traveled very easily. When other guests were being noisy, I needed earplugs. Also I booked airport transfers which generally worked well but on my way back to the airport the driver dropped me off at the wrong terminal and I had to figure out how to get to the one I needed with enough time to make my flight

Very disappointing! Ads and customers' reviews were mostly wrong or inaccurate!

Location was very good but room was too noisy from streets. Breakfast was fair. No much variety. Staffs at front desk were not professional treating tourists like "thieves", requiring immediate payments for whole 4 day stay!!! Never heard of such attitude and behavior!

Hanoi revisited

Location is handy to everything in Old Quarter. Being on a busy street, rooms are very quiet. Great shower. Staff are wonderful.

The restaurant was only open for breakfast and bar, not at all. Disappointing as this was a deciding factor when booking. Apparently, it is closed due to covid.

The room is super clean and comfortable. I like the pillows so much. I appreciate the attitude and professionalism of the staff members in the kitchen and dining room. They were so friendly and helpful even when we came right before the closing time.

I booked a room with a window because I would like to have another exit way in case of emergency, not just a view. However, the window in the room will lead you to an inside deep hole (elevator’s hole or something?). It made me feel uncomfortable.

The Hai Bay hotel was in the perfect location. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Raina took care of us. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed very comfortable though very hard and the pillows some of the bests I have seen in a long time! The furnitures are in perfect condition and made of solid wood. The lighting perfect with different possibility. WiFi perfect. Our room was quiet.

Okay hotel, great location

The hotel is in a really good location with all the sights within walking distance. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast. The dishes in the buffet were not kept warm and were not re-filled when they were finished. The tables from guests who were done eating were not cleaned. There was no fresh coffee, only instant coffee with hot water. About a quarter of the dishes presented on the breakfast menu are not served anymore. Other than that, our airport transfer did not show and it was quite difficult to get in touch with the hotel about this. We ended up taking another car. Lastly the showerhead in the bathroom was too low to fit underneath, this could not be adjusted. We simply expected more from a hotel with this quality rating and for this price.

Superb

The staff was friendly, went out of their way to hold our luggage even after we checked out. The family suite is spacious with two sections and a nice little balcony.

The city center has it's advantages, but it's obviously not the quietest surrounding. The rooftop bar was closed, which was a shame.

Good for a short stay

Pretty clean, good shower, good location to explore the old quarter of Hanoi and short walk to the lake.

Facilities are just ok, nothing particularly special. Room is a little bit small but good for a short stay.

The staff were really nice and helpful. We lost our bags at the airport and they've helped us retrieve it. It was a really nice hotel and I would definitely visit it again.

The breakfast could have been a little bit better, but it was fine!

Brilliant location, staff and hotel. Book now!

Room was clean, spacious and inviting, with a very comfortable bed. Photos very accurate to the room that was provided. When the hot water for the shower intermittently cut out, hotel staff were at my room in moments to fix the problem. I could not ask for better service. Hotel staff were not only friendly and inviting, but spoke great English and were happy to have a chat as I came in and out throughout the day. Location in Hanoi Old Quarter was outstanding - a few minutes walk from all major attractions, including Hoan Kiem Lake. A fantastic spot for those who like to explore the nightlife without needing to worry about finding your way back. 10/10 and would recommend to all travellers.

Shower could have been a bit better (ie: walk-in rather than bathtub/shower combo), however this is a very minor complaint for an otherwise perfect stay.
