Fine for one night
Pleasant staff at reception which was open 24 hours. Room and bathroom were a good size
Apartments are outside the old town of Santillana del mar. No air conditioning. Given a twin room when we had asked for a double. Fridge in room didn’t work. No sockets beside bed.

Exceptional
Good location, really friendly & helpful staff. Spotlessly clean, beds comfortable & room was well equipped & spacious enough for all 4 of us. Absolutely beautiful village, went to attend a family wedding & our party included people familiar with the language. I would recommend going there with at least a basic knowledge of Spanish as it is a very traditional area & the local people are, quite rightly, proud of their heritage & many don't speak English. (Staff at the hotel do & were very helpful when we were not among friends/family who spoke fluent Spanish) We did get by though & felt our attempts at Spanish were appreciated, even if we got it wrong & had to resort to duo lingo at one point.
No bad points. Lovely people & location.

Great place to stay for those interested in the history of the area
Great location to visit this interesting village with history. Very easy walk into the centre of the town; plenty of choice for restaurants locally. Just two kilometres from the ‘Altirmira’ museum ( prehistoric cave museum), which we enjoyed.
Very basic kitchen; just two plate hob. Fridge, no kettle and just enough equipment. The building needs some insulation as we could hear the plumbing. Otherwise it was adequate.
