Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #255S will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been to Silver sand other times and the apartment that I have rented has been in good condition, but this time it was horrible, all the furniture is in very poor condition, destroyed and poorly cared for, the kitchen utensils are extremely poor, the location property is great

It was perfect for our small family and allowed us to be close to our other family staying at the property. The beach and pool were amazing and all of the staff was so nice. Having been coming here for years with my family we have seen some decline in the overall up keep of the property.The house keeping after arrival can be non existent if you don't keep asking for service. The weekend crowd that rolls in with their groups of non paying (local friends/family) guests sometimes completely take over the pool area and make it very difficult to enjoy the pool and BBQ and can go late into the night with a lot of noise and sometimes a mess around the pool.
The desk host is always helpful and seems to be doing as much as they can or allowed to when asked for things. The room is comfortable and you have privacy being on the second floor from your lania, views are great from this level.

Laidback and relaxing

RELAXING- Comfortable, clean and has everything you need and more. Not an overly crowded area or beach. The sand, water and beach area were awesome, free chairs and umbrellas a plus. Staff very friendly and attentive. We’ll be back again soon! Highly recommend the Blue Dolphin for breakfast or lunch, just down the road.

What was I wanted for a restful beach experience. Never looked around and thought something was out of sorts. Well maintained and sharp. Staff was attentive to a couple requests and we were just able to relax and enjoy our time.

Sisters getaway!

Sisters getaway!

The rooms worked well for two sisters getting away for a few days. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom, but could still enjoy the linai together. We found the rooms to be clean, and the kitchen had all the necessary things we needed. It was just a few steps to the beach, and when the sliding glass door was open, we could hear the ocean, otherwise most of the time it was very quiet. This resort is in a good location to restaurants, and both Bradenton and Sarasota. There was some confusion with the bill when it was time to check-out, but after a couple days, we were able to get it worked out. Thank you for some much needed time away with my sister.
