Exceptional

Everything is supplied for you to make your own breakfast....and I mean everything!! Fantastic. Great location. Easy to drive to or from Melbourne and a great point for exploring the Yarra Valley. Wonderful hosts and a spot to stop, rest and renew your energy. Comfortable bed and pillows, wonderful bathroom with lots of soft towels. The kitchen is really well equipped and the lounge area has a choice of sofas and reading nooks. Wifi is supplied. There is a TV and DVD's if you want to watch a movie or two. You can sit around the lake and read a book or share a glass of wine and watch the birds....its all up to you.

Worthy of many repeat visits!

Beautiful grounds and spectacularly maintained accommodations! Gracious, friendly hosts in Sue and Bill - and Angus! The quiet solitude was just the remedy after a chaotic week.

A little bit of paradise in every way

The Burrow is a beautiful haven; the minute we walked in we didn’t want leave! It’s beautifully decorated, cosy, yet with all the mod cons you need for the perfect stay. Sue and Bill had left plenty of provisions for a sumptuous brunch. And the bed was bliss. Brunch on the veranda was perfect. And then we go outside…the work Bill and Sue have landscaped the surrounding area to truly make it a little piece of paradise. And they too were very warm and welcoming. We’ve not stayed in a place quite like this and we certainly hope to return.

Unique, refreshing sanctuary!

The Burrow is set in exceptional surroundings with a billabong attracting an array of bird life which is a joy to watch. The accommodation is unique - mud brick cottage with lovely views. Hosts Sue and Bill are welcoming and very knowledgeable. Breakfast supplies are generous and yummy!

A beautiful oasis in which to unwind.

The hosts were amazing, interesting and generous. The provisions were delicious including fresh baked bread, several fruits and everything one could wish for to have a good breakfast. The setting was simply beautiful.

Paradise

The best thing about this property is the amazing billabong which instantly calms. Bill and Sue are passionate creators and custodians of this piece of paradise. They are such friendly, interesting hosts and take pride in their property. Sue's provisions are generous and delicious and the house has everything you need for a few days break. And Angus stole our hearts!

A hidden gem in the Yarra Valley! A must stay!

An incredible place to spend a few days. Sue and Bill (and Angus) have catered to every possible need, providing a tranquil hideaway right in the middle of all the Yarra Valley has to offer. I would recommend the Burrow to anyone needing to escape their everyday, come down to Wombat Bend and unwind in this beautiful part of Victoria.

Beautiful, Tranquil and Welcoming property in the Yarra Valley

The hosts, Sue and Bill have created the most tranquil sanctuary for all visitors. They are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. We were welcomed with great snacks, beautiful bottle of tawny and warm and cosy home. The breakfast had a great variety to choose from and was very tasty and fresh. A morning walk around the billabong in the property is a must. Highly recommended for all and we can't wait to go back. Thank you Sue, Bill and Angus

Relaxing, inviting and enjoyable.

Amazing place to stay. Tranquil, peaceful retreat to allow you to relax and put up your feet. Bird life were very happy to be there and be watched.

I really dont have anything, maybe hard to walk anywhere, but that is Dixon's Creek.

Too short our plans didn’t allow time for enjoying the garden

Real soap in bathroom instead of foam, tissues would be good too

The perfect short break at any time, but especially so after a covid lockdown.

The cottage was very homely and comfortable. Great bed and ensuite, very well appointed The kitchen and food provisions for breakfast were generous and a nice touch with wine, cheeses, crackers and fruit. Superb touches everywhere. The property is a natural paradise, with much biodiversity, especially birdlife.
