Perfect location, lovely helpful friendly staff, interesting historical house, beautiful secluded garden.

Hotel was located with the beautiful view of the sea. Eating breakfast every morning was a blast. Room was clean and the room service was daily changing towels and other products. Staff was super friendly and Im highly recommending this place.
The hotel have a very beautiful history, there is a lot of old items, paintings, photos of the family members who were running the place. The place have an old vibe.
The shower in the bathroom did not have a courtain so the water was all over the place if you were washing your hair although the hotel service hept it clean everyday.

The hotel is in a perfect location and clean, the staff is amazing, and the only thing that could be a little better is the breakfast.

Breakfast could be better: by reducing the number of items served and choosing more tasty local products

the history of the building and family who have owned it since 1933

Bed fine
Faded without the charm
Basic room without a sea view was overpriced for what else you can get in the area. Shower had to be held in your hand.
Website is misleading on the quality of the hotel. Breakfast nothing special

Although expensive, we thought the Executive suite on the top (5th) floor of the hotel was excellent. It was very atmospheric in a 1940's style.
Rather than use the lift, we used the stairs for 5 days to keep fit. The whole top floor, including the massive outside terrace with 4 sun loungers and table and 4 chairs supplied, was exclusively ours to use.
The uninterrupted view over the bay was just superb, as were the sun rises and sunsets.
The breakfast was good, with all kinds of egg and tomato supplied on request along with all other breakfasty things.
The staff were always friendly and willing to help. The hotel is a short walk from the busy cafes and restaurants of Chania's delightful harbour.
The suite was just lovely, 5 stars, but we were surprised that there were no coffee and/or tea making facilities in the room. There was certainly plenty of room to supply them.
Also, in a health and safety issue, both showers did not have shower curtains on them!!! I'm 6'2" and despite trying really hard, I could not help splashing water all over the place. This made everything soaking and unless being very careful, a nasty slip could be possible.
Everything else was just perfect.

The hotel is charming and within easy
walking distance from the Harbour.
The owners and staff were exceptionally
friendly and extremely helpful which more
than compensated for the room size and
shower negatives.
We would definitely return if in Chania
on a short break.
The room we had was small & without a
balcony so drying wet swimwear was
difficult. The shower had no screen or
curtain so the bathroom floor got very
wet and care had to be taken to not slip.

Wonderfully atmospheric place, the old building, the high ceilings, the charming inner courtyard, the breathtaking breakfast room with view to the sea.
Tiny showerplace with no curtain and the wrong slope of the bathroom floor means any shower turns into a deluge in the whole bathroom. Add to that that there is nowhere (shelf/drawer) to place one's toiletries and the bathroom is not a comfortable experience.
The main street is so noisy that it was a problem even in my room that looked towards the inner courtyard.

I was expecting a room with sea views.

Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were fabulous. The building itself is charming.
I requested a sea view. Rather than saying that was not possible, they said: "Regarding your requests,a room with a double bed and sea view is upon availability at that period." I would rather have known that that meant, "No" in advance than finding out on arrival. I was very disappointed...
The room was very small and for 160 Euros per night, I would have expected at least a box of tissues and a kettle.
Our room was right next to the lift which meant that I was woken every single morning by other guests leaving - anytime from 5:30am...

The hotel is around 15min walk away from the citycenter and harbour which is nice. The hotel is very old building but it was still nice. Breakfast was fine and staff was extremely kind.

Beautiful breakfast and venue. Really interesting historical collections from the 17-20th centuries. 2 person elevator was small but quite functional.

Very friendly staff, breakfast could have had more options.
The restaurant was only open for breakfast, it would have been nice to sit there at sunset even if it was closed.

Good breakfast. Interesting building
We had a sea view room but had only one chair to sit and watch the view. Road outside was noisy

Excellent hotel and the best service - the staff was very nice and friendly. The room was cleaned twice per day! I have never had such an experience.
The sea view from the room was amazing, and many restaurants are available within walking distance!

amazing staff, very good location and historic building!
Breakfast view
the only things that they should renovate are the bathrooms (shower and hairdryer)

Attractive property with an interesting history. Lots of books and photographs gave the place a very “homely” appeal, albeit quite quirky.
Staff - other than the three Reception staff we spoke to, who were very pleasant - were in general unsmiling. This was particularly noticeable in the beautifully located breakfast room: we had barely a back of our kali meras and efharistos and smiling thanks .
The bathrooms were very basic indeed - no shower curtain or glass to prevent the floor and loo seats getting soaked.
Although location was good for getting into Chania, the extremely busy and noisy road immediately outside meant we had to have all windows and shutters closed at all times, no matter the temperature, which was a pity as we couldn’t enjoy the lovely sea view.
7.0
Unique historic atmosphere / literally a stay in a museum.
Clean / tidying up twice a day.
Good location / great views.
Nice breakfast.
Helpful and polite personnel.
Owner is a sweetheart.
Despite the historic nature, the premises need a renovation.
Small rooms / basic amenities / basic bed.

I loved pretty much everything, beautiful place, great location, and awesome service 24/7
The only thing I disliked would perhaps be the noisy road right next to the hotel

LOCATION is perfect for Town Center, restaurants and shops. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Chania is great and we have a great time, location es important and this Hotel has it! 🙌🏻
Only thing I would recommend is showers need to have a door, cause floor gets really wet.
