Simply incredible, if you wanna stay by Wolfgangsee, you have to stay here.

the locality of this cottage is simply incredible. we planned to have dinner in restaurant, but after we saw our balcony with this amazing view, we just bought local ham, cheese and few beers and spent our only one night in our beautiful suite.

Best place to stay in St Wolfgangsee

The owner was super nice, the property itself is beautiful sitting close a spring so that you hear the water while enjoying the breakfast on a terrace. there are dozens of the hiking trails in the area. This was my 2nd stay and definitely not the last one

Perfect easy stay

All perfect for us! There is some noise from the river outside, if you keep the windows open, but we slept well anyway (with windows closed you don’t heat any noise!). The place might be difficult for people with reduces mobility, as the road to the house is steep. Good breakfast, best eggs ever, fresh fruit and vegetable every day. The owner is very nice and helpful, giving personalised advices for walks, events and restaurants. The hotel is 10 minutes of walk from the village with many restaurants and shops. We had big and comfortable room with balcony, breakfast out or inside, depending on wether. Nice private beach of the hotel, easy to reach inn10 min of walk, you can swim and paddle on the lake. Correct value for money. I really recommend the place!!!

Absolute gem of a place!

We loved everything about this place - the house, the location and the hospitality from the owner. Short walk to town with some lovely places to eat and drink, short walk to the lake with a fantastic private bathing area. The scenery is stunning, plenty of space in the room and the host was brilliant - definitely a highlight of our trip to Austria.

Splendid gasthaus, superb host

nicely located on the hill overviewing the lake, close to the town centre, yet far enough to offer tranquility and closeness to the nature. the cirque next to the house is an extra bonus not to be disregarded. The host is simply fantastic — doing everything possible and impossible to make our stay a memorable pleasure. Great breakfasts on the terras! A lovely place all in all.

Nothing really. Maybe the speed of the Internet might be improved, although it wasn’t a real problem for us.

We might have experienced our best B&B yet. This is a magical location. If you are in need of a quiet place to stay which has a spectacular view of St. Wolfgang (lake, mountains, forest). The B&B is situated next to a lovely path to the city, which you can also use for running, it has small waterfalls next to it and even a hiking path. Breakfast is located on a lovely outdoor porch (during winter there is an indoor dedicated room). Our room was very clean and it looked like it was re-furbished just before we came. The owner was super friendly thought our stay. BTW, the train that passes just next to the B&B doesn't make a sound. It's electric and functions as an attraction if you happen to see it. I'll note that we took the train and the people on it were very interested when seeing the B&B from the moving train. Don't forget to grab a key to the private beach just next to the lake. Enjoy a swim, as we did.
