The location amongst rice paddy fields was serene, quiet, with beautiful views. Far enough out of town without being too far. Lovely Gardens, attentive friendly staff. Great breakfasts, option for takeaway boxes when we had a tour booked and had to leave early. Free shuttle bus service to and from Ubud centre was great.

Lack of cocktail / alcoholic drink options. One room, the shower did not heat up (infinity Villa) it didn’t affect our stay as we showered in the kids bathroom. Even after staff fixed it, it didn’t work again.

Mold issues

The location is fantastic. The road is a bit bumpy leading to the property but it’s extremely close to the city center and they provide a free daily shuttle to the center if you’d like to book it. It’s also relatively spacious with very lush tropical gardens, and a fantastic view.

There’s plenty not to like unfortunately, the two bedrooms downstairs in the three bedroom villa were stinking of mold. The smell in the smallest room was especially awful because the room had no windows! It was shocking to us as a group of friends who split the cost of this stay equally, to have one couple stay in this room (photos here are of the largest room downstairs). We complained immediately upon arrival and they offered us one double room at the very bottom of the hill instead of the small room, which was inconvenient considering we are flying together and want to be staying together. While we appreciate they tried to help, and to clean the room again and provide an air purifier, the state of the room in terms of health and safety was not suitable for any guests of any age. The mold was visible on the wood floor boards, and with no windows, the smell is offensive. Please be aware of this if you’re taking the three bedroom villa. The breakfast at the restaurant was mediocre. The staff were friendly and helpful and these issues mentioned above are probably not their fault at all, however someone needs to try to fix the mold issue immediately. There was no hot water in the showers and the wifi was very unstable.

Wish we could recommend but can not.

It is not too far from Ubud. Villa is nice although not overly private being right next to reception and stairs.

There is construction going on across from resort and constant noise from grinders and building. This should be stated when you book so you are aware. Definitely detracts from the zen experience. The staff are all very young and seem to be doing all jobs, reception, cleaning, waiting. None of them speak great English, some none at all. The property has a restaurant and offers meals however it appears they don’t actually have a chef and the staff don’t appear to be trained to work in a restaurant. The food was not good, definitely not the standard expected of a 5 star hotel. The worst dining experience we had in Bali. Tables were not cleaned and cutlery dirty. Staff tried really hard to help but just don’t have training or experience to deliver 5 star experience. Can not blame them. We tried to book free shuttle one night and were told driver was unavailable so had to pay $20 to go into Ubud for dinner. Pool nice but water too cold to swim in.

Spacious. Beds were super comfy. Views were gorgeous. Breakfast was individually catered for. Very relaxing stay.

Our room was above the reception. We weren’t aware that was the situation before we booked. While the room was gorgeous, clean and tidy, it doesn’t feel as luxurious to be sat above reception. As we travelled with children, it also increased security concerns/worries. Had we known, we would have booked a different villa. Limited hot water.

Nice stay but can improve and needs more investment by the owners

The villa is stunning and loved it and the private pool. The location is great as it is quiet and serene.

The food at the restaurant is average, this includes breakfast and dinners. It lacks finesse and if you take the rooms then there is a mismatch. I would suggest they invest in a proper chef to uplift the level of meals. The villa and rooms were stunning but it is short on necessities like adequate cutlery, plates, crockery, pots, etc. Toaster, kettle = dated. It needs some investment here by the owners as this falls short of expected standards. The other downside is that it sits a bit outside Ubud village, just a couple of Kms. However, with the insane traffic there it can take a few hours to do dinner and return transfer to the hotel. So this a problem. We then resorted to ordering-in, as the restaurant food at the hotel was not up to scratch.

it was very clean and bedrooms were beautiful, the car picked us up from the city center of Ubud

The communication with the stuff was a bit problematic. We did reserved the biggest Villa however it was not what we expected for this price. We were just next to the reception and everyone could hear us and who was passing from reception to the Villa could see us and our pool.

Very good

While the location is a little off the main road, the settling and views are just spectacular. If you want something that is a completely different experience then this is for you. Yes you have to catch a taxi to the main part of town however it is worth it. Pool is amazing and a good size.

Breakfast could be better and room service could be offered. Although the staff are very friendly and nice they are a little young and inexperienced. And attention to details is a little off.

Bali trip

the breakfast was lovely and the rooms were clean

we informed Zenubud that we were coming for our honeymoon and we were offered decoration and cake. but we never received this and when asked we were told they would do it the next day. we never received this. after a few days we didn’t have robes

Perfect place to stay in Ubud! Definitely recommend anyone to stay here and I will also be back!

The friendly and attentive staff were the best part of this stay! They were very accomodating and exceeded service expectations. The way they thoroughly cleaned the room every day was amazing. It was such a clean villa every time we returned to our rooms. The villas are also suited for couples, groups and families. The food was also delicious and varied in options. The natural views was absolutely amazing!

Very minor was there were no cocktails available which was surprising but did not affect our stay at all, we still had the most amazing holiday here.

Ovrall good stay ,but there are so many shortcomings in the property,

location,overall maintenance,free shuttle service breakfast is good

Front desk staff at the time of check in was extremely rude, arrogant and non cooperative. The number of steps and stair cases is very high and not suitable for elders.There are no handrails anywhere this is very dangerous during monsoon .During our stay three of our members fell down from steps. All passages and common areas and stairways have very deem light. The hot water geysers have very little capacity and there is not enough hot water. water tub kept in our Mezzanine A was not of any use as no hot water was available. There is no covered dining hall or restaurant in the property,large families can’t eat and seat together. If all above shortcomings are taken care of,it will be a very good place.

false advertisement and we were welcomed by a rude manager

The Villa we booked was not the size mentioned online. The “villa” was much smaller in terms of space and when I brought it up, the manager was quite rude which is why we checked out right away. We refuse to stay at a place where there is false advertisement. The manager was extremely rude and we had to insist for him to come out and speak to us because he wouldn’t. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE which is why we checked out 30 mins after our check-in

Exceptional

Kind and friendly staffs offer gracious hospitality. Quite and serene atmosphere helps me to focus on our family.

Not easy access to ubud downtown but free shuttle operated by host is a good alternative. There is a construction site on the opposite side of the vally but there was no noise.

hotel style is amazing. we have been there for honeymoon rooms are perfect

breakfast was so bad we couldn't eat. one night we called the desk and one guy answer he can't speak English and we couldn't tell our problem cuz he can't understand anything. and we went the desk for talk face to face he still didn't understand us. It was weird:( He was alone there was no one in the hotel. It's mean big security problem.

Exceptional

Everything was just excellent. This is by far the easiest 10 I've ever given to any accommodation. Hands down the best service in Bali. The staff is very attentive, kind and helpful. They were at any guests disposal day and night and providing and outstanding service. They were also extremely respectful and were doing their chores in a way that it was never disruptive. The room, pool and bathroom was always spotless including towels, bean bags etc. The breakfast was also decent especially in comparison with what we got at other resorts. We can not recommend them enough. We'll be definitely going back next time we are visiting Bali.

Nothing. If you don't like anything, just let the staff know and if they can, they'll 100% help you.

The breakfast need more varieties, the villa with the infinity pool have too many insects couz the doors have opening it wasnt very comfortable to sleep while the gekos and the other insects were in the room

great view, close to nature, helpful and friendly staff

the breakfast was really good, they also provided tea time.. the staff is all very nice and friendly.. villa is nice, view is GREAT.. downside is the road heading to the villa and the stairs we need to go through from the lobby to our villa.. when its raining, its a bit dangerous, but the staff is very attentive and use flashlight to make sure our safety.. actually i would say it is a great experience, probably more suitable for couples or family with older kids.. water pressure, bathroom all is great.. i got to see fireflies too.. :) thanks zenubud!

the last step of the stairs heading to our villa need a led strip too.. my husband miss that step and almost fell down.. also the villa with one bedroom have some water leaking problem that need to be fixed..
