Eccezionale

Camera moderna e molto spaziosa, terrazzo gigante e con bella vista. Letti molto comodi Personale alla reception gentilissimo Colazione fantastica (pasticciotti molto buoni) In bassa stagione parcheggio disponibile a bordo strada

Niente da segnalare; solo forse la distanza dal centro, ci sono una decina di minuti a piedi (ma è invece molto vicino al mare)

Praktisch für einen kurzen Aufenthalt

Wir haben ein kostenloses Zimmerupgrade erhalten (Nachsaison). Somit hatten wir eine schöne Dachterrasse zur Verfügung. Toll war der Pool.

Das Frühstück war ausreichend aber überschaubar. Die Lage war etwas weit zur Innenstadt aber nachdem wir einen Schleichweg durch die Wohnblöcke entdeckt hatten, war es ok.

Our expectations about a 4 starts hotel were a little more high with respect to the structure and the rooms. However we rate our stay experience between 6.5 - 7

Ideal stop off for a relaxing short break

Clean and comfortable hotel. Location about 10 minute walk to old town but with some nice views and photo ops of town along the way. They have a deal with a beach about 3 min walk called the Atlantis where you can rent beds and unbrellas - water is calm and crystal clear. Approx. €35 for 2 people (a bit steep) so we went to the small public section and used our own towels - hard to find a spot though as it's mostly rocky. Hotel has a pool that takes up the whole outside, it's very deep but nice, room for about 10 people to sunbathe. Breakfast was grand, its the same most places, fills a gap. Balconies in rooms also. I would recommend, for a nice quiet break, maybe not for kids or families as not alot to entertain the kids in that specific location and pool is deep in one end and could be dangerous but also not alot of room for them to run around it etc. In fairness it is perfect for what we wanted and the staff are very nice. Free parking anywhere along the right hand side of the road outside.

Nothing at all really. Just to note there is no Iron or Tea / Coffee making facilities in the rooms, but you can always get by without this so I wouldnt base a decision on these.

Great stay in Otranto!

Excellent location next to very nice beaches and a 15 minute walk to historical center of Otranto. Great value for money if you’re planning to stay in Otranto and not planning to move around much.

Wi-fi didn’t work properly in the room.

Fabulous base to stay for the beach & the old town. Very relaxing & lovely staff.

This was our second stay here so we knew what to expect. Great location close to the beach during the day & a short walk into the old town at night. Friendly staff, very clean, nice pool.

Only 1 minor comment is that some breakfast items tended to run out & you had to ask if you wanted these, but otherwise there was a good selection for breakfast.

Staff are the nicest thing about this hotel. Rooms could do with upgrade and air con controlled by reception

The hotel advertises concession at local beach club. Staff there at Atlantis club were very unfriendly. they kept trying to put us at the back row despite the club being empty. Definite feeling that they didn’t want the hotel guests

If I have to give 2 improvement will be the breakfirst that could have some local stuff and the parking, We park on the street, was ok

Excellent choice for breakfast. Very friendly staff who happily arranged the airport shuttle & the beach umbrella & beds for us. Great location near to the beach with a 10 minute walk into the old town at night. Lovely swimming pool.

Lovely town, but not a great hotel. It should be three stars not four stars.

The staff were quite friendly. It was close to a beach.

Nobody spoke English, not even the hotel receptionist and other staff. It was very hard to make ourselves understood. Even ordering a drink when we arrived was a mission. I don’t think that English guests are particularly welcome. The atmosphere in the hotel was very dull. It was soulless and very quiet. Breakfast was served between 7:30 and 10am each morning. It was always the same breakfast, dry scrambled eggs and streaky bacon or a continental breakfast, there was not even a choice of fried or poached eggs. The swimming pool is enclosed by high white walls, which meant that it was always baking hot around the pool and there was no air circulating, thus meant that no one ever sat around the pool because they couldn’t stand the heat. Also the pool closed for three hours every afternoon. The pool bar was never opened in the nine days that we stayed at the hotel, and the Dining Room was not opened during the day between 10am and 7:30pm, and it closed at 9:30pm every night. So if you wanted to buy a drink or even have a cup of tea you had to go to the local expensive beach restaurant, or walk into the main town of Otranto which is about 20 minutes away. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in our room, not even a kettle or a bottle of water, or even a glass to drink the water that we bought. It felt as if the hotel wanted to make as much money as they could with the minimum expense on their part. We had to pay €2 for each small cup of tea we drank at the hotel. The bed was big and clean, but it was very hard. It was a solid piece of foam on a solid wood base. My body ached after two nights and I began to dread bedtime by the fifth day, as did my husband. The ‘Sea View’ room and bathroom facilities were very sparse. The balcony was absolutely tiny, but you could see the sea in the distance, over the roofs of a couple of rows of houses.

Superb

Very pleased with this hotel, very clean, modern and comfortable rooms, breakfast was very good and all the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Quiet location with lovely walk into the town. Can definitely recommend and would be happy to return sometime.

The personnel of this hotel is rude, they couldn't help at all. Hotel is in a poor condition - rooms' furniture is outdated, there is a strange smell in the classic type of rooms - i've tried to change it with some other room of the same type, but the smell was still there. They've offered me to spread some parfume in the room The water pool is dirty - it has a non clear blue color Otranto is not a big city, but the hotel is not the best positioned. Breakfast is poor for a 4* hotel. In fact, the general impression is that for a 3* hotel. So far, didn't manage to get the invoice for the period of stay, despite on the check in they advised they will issue upon departure, but on departure (Saturday) advised they cannot give it in that they, and they gave a receipt only...this was really unacceptable. Not mentioning that the english of the reception person was really poor.

Otranto is beautiful, if we returned, we would book a hotel in the Centro Storico.

The swimming pool was good, unfortunately it was closed a couple of days after we arrived. End of season looming. Giovanni on Reception was exceptionally helpful, organising taxis, and other matters. The hotel is clean, and bright. The breakfast was acceptable.

Location: Too far from Otranto old town. It was located in a more residential area. Of the two restaurants close to the hotel, one closed a couple of days after we arrived. One evening we pre-booked dinner which was beyond awful. The cold meat antipasto was edible, the pasta barely edible and the main course was totally inedible. The fish was cold and badly presented, the chicken strips were cold and rubbery. The accompanying chips, similarly were cold and rubbery. We were charged Euro 25 a head for for we could not eat. No real apology was offered.
