Spacious rooms, friendly staff and the food was amazing breakfast and dinner superb.

The room (#15, Jura): perfect. Just what I like, very private and very quiet, with fast internet. The halibut was very good, but expensive.
Very strange atmosphere with the personel. Sometimes very friendly, something a bit cold and distant. Also very strange guests. Checkout was very cold. The bed a bit to hard for my liking. Also the shower looked very promising, but did not live up to that (not enought pressure?)

The drive was too steep & broken tarmac for heavy motorbikes.
The room was far too hot although a fan was provided, it was still to warm & claustrophobic.
Staff were distant.
We didn't have evening meal, but we had breakfast which was smoked fish, which was over cooked.

Beautiful old property, with lovely views over the bay
Shower too complicated, too many jets and no hot water…. had a fabulous bath instead

Clean and Beautiful.
Water pressure in showers was weak.

The hotel was easy to find and has beautiful views. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Plenty of cereal but couldn't see ant pastries, cheeses, meats, fruit, yogurt etc. Not everyone wants a cooked breakfast.
The rooms could have been warmer for our arrival, we didn't arrive until late and they were a little cold.

Room was fantastic with Loch views and a comfortable 4-posters bed. Receptionist at check in was cheerful and helpful.
New bathroom suite basically didn’t work - we timed the bath to take one hour to fill. Shower worked but had be fitted amateurishly, with potentially dangerous sharp edges.
Waitress at dinner was offhand to the point of rudeness. Food quality disappointing. Awkward atmosphere. First breakfast we came down to a room with no place settings and they looked surprised to see us.
Lounge had lights off and unheated so stayed in our room.

The evening meal was faultless. Superb fresh seafood .
They were obviously short staffed. Thanks Brexit voters!

stunning period property, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean. Great location, lovely wee walk along the waterfront.
loved it all

Room was bright and airy, bed was comfortable, dinner was better than average, sitting room was comfortable. I had lost my jacket somewhere in Campbelltown and the hostess of the hotel was helpful in contacting the local establishments where I might have left it. Sadly no one had found the jacket. The view from the room was beautiful and the setting of the property also quite nice. It's a bit of a hike to the center of town but certainly doable. There is ample parking for small vehicles.
Service in the dining room was not great - server had to be asked several times for water and other items, just didn't seem to be on top of things. The WiFi was only good on the first floor in the lounge area or hallway which was annoying for me as I was writing a journal that I was posting everyday and could not sit comfortably in my room and work on it or post it. There was a router outside my room but it did not seem to help. One morning the lounge was being used for a private breakfast and I had to balance my laptop on a chair in the hallway in order to finish my work. Most of these accommodations in Scotland do not have elevators and there was no one to help with luggage and hauling it up a huge flight of stairs. It's something one must deal with in ma ny places in Scotland so shouldn't be a black mark against this hotel.

The staff were helpfull and breakfast was very good.
We did not get the sea view we expected and that was promoted in the write up on Booking. Com.The room we booked and paid for said it was sea view, well furnished room. There was a peak a boo view from one small window, the other small window was covered with plant overgrowth.. The furinshing were old, very old bed squeaked and creaked with every movement, it was like sleeping on a door. There was no bulb in one lamp and the heater beside the bed did not work. It was a cold rainy night.
The saddest thing for us was the non existent view. It rained heavily most of the time we were in the room ,it was depressing not to have the sea view we so looked forward to ,just a tired sad old room, the reason we booked and paid more was for the view. We tried to talk to owner who was on site when we viewed the room, he was less than helpful, telling us we seen the photos of room, and closed his room door. The photo did not include view BUT everything in the write up on room number 15 stated in write up it was a sea view with a sea view price.
As things happen next morning on the way up the path i tripped on the uneven path momentum making me stagger forward several feet.
I injured my knee, arm and ankle. The staff were very nice but when we asked for first aid aid kit they said it was empty , there was a bandage and very small band aid only ,not suitable for a knee with no creme to clean. Staff got some pain killers from their own vehicle.

Amazing location, beautiful house. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast was ok and they offer Free parking.
Arrived around 9pm, glass of when on reception staff were unwelcoming. Breakfast was ok, but the cleanliness on the breakfast room was something to be desired!!! 8-10 table all used and not one free or charged over for new guests … she was busy chatting with a cuppa!!!
On leaving they knocked at 10am wanting access to clean, when it clearly says on there website checkout is 11am
It could be a beautiful run hotel, if they just paid attention to detail and be more friendlier.
Would we stay again, Campbeltown is limited so yes probably.

The view from the dining room is stunning
The single rooms are very tight and the sheets are too poly cotton for my peculiar taste.
