Exceptional

Very friendly and welcoming owners. The property it is very nice, clean and well equipped. The new bar area is a great place to spend the evenings, enjoying VERY good value drinks during happy hour - great place for meeting people both locals and other travellers. Would very highly recommend to anyone visiting Mompiche (even if you don’t stay there you should visit the bar for happy hour!)

Exceptional

The place is beautiful, made with much love and feeling for details and atmosphere. It is taken care of in every aspect. One can easily felt as a part of a family - having his peace when needed but always people to do something with as well. The owners are care taking, easy and do everything they can for the guests to meet their needs. Thank you!

It felt like home

A very beautifull place with clean and large dorms, a nice garden, cosey kitchen and many hangout spots. Very warm welcome and easy to meet other people. It felt like home.

Incredible value and fantastic hosts!

Just an awesome place to stay in Mompiche, chill, relaxing, clean and best of all awesome and super friendly owners whom you'll probably end up making friends with! Fast wifi everywhere and lounge/bar area in a chill relaxing setting.

Surfing paradise

We loved the common areas and yoga deck. Nout sorted out us being able to watch the Six Nations rugby (he has every sports channel under the sun). The kitchen is lovely and semi-outside. We really liked how friendly and social it was during breakfast and dinner. Yolanda, Nout and the boys were such great company!

Only thing was the bathroom in the 8 bed dorm. It never felt clean and water quality isn't great because of lots of minerals in the water. But I think this the case throughout the town.

A fab hostel in cute Mompiche

The yoga/chill out area was fabulous and the people, both owners and volunteers as well as other guests were friendly. The bar is also cute and brings people from across town for happy hour, nice drinks and music too.

There is no hot water, just to be aware. Not a problem in the heat, but may be in colder periods.

The best place to stay in Mompiche!

-Perfect chill out spaces dotted around the hostel -Fully functioning, super clean and practical kitchen area -Lovely friendly and welcoming bar for all, with a great relaxed but sociable atmosphere for visitors and locals alike -Super kind and thoughtful hosts, the most beautiful young family who made our trip unforgettable...we stayed for 9 nights in the end ☺️ Thanks Nout & Jolanda for a memorable stay in Mompiche and for a wonderful Christmas 2022!

Mudhouse: Best hostel in Mompiche

Mudhouse is absolutely the best hostel in Mompiche. The owners are so friendly and the hostel has everything you need. A lovely kitchen, great showers and the best WiFi in town. I had a wonderful time here!

Relaxing beach stay with great vibes

We liked it so much that we extended for four days. beautiful location, very comfortable and with fantastic owners.

Just so you know, the bar (which is a ton of fun) plays music till midnight so if you’re a very early and light sleeper you might have an issue. but the atmosphere is so good that you’ll probably want to hang out there until it closes anyways.

Adored staying at the mudhouse! The bar is groovy and the owners are so lovely. The walk to town and the beach were super close and easy to get to. Comfortable beds and spacious dorm rooms with lots of storage space. Wifi strong for working remotely as well (:

Perfect vibes to stay in Mompiche

The property has the most beautiful ambiance set in the perfect location in Mompiche—on the Main Street a short walk to the malecón, but far enough from the bars for some peace and quiet.

I have no complaints. The owner is kind and went above and beyond to help make our stay perfect.

Incredible!

Mindy is a great host. There is a cosy atmosphere in the hostel and everything is there what you need. There is a lot of space to chill out, well equipped kitchen to cook, and there is also a restaurant at the hostel with delicious food. The beach is a short walk. I would highly recommend this hostel!

Superb

The hostal was super beautiful with huts that look very natural. The location was very central and close to the beach but not right next to a bar etc. There is a tapas bar right in the hostel complex with very tasty food and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend the hostel and think it's the best I've seen in Mompiche

A perfect place to relax! Beautiful and totally zen, our room got cleaned every day. Great host. They also have a great restaurant with Lovely cocktails and food. Lovely music, not to loud. Recommend that you visit playa negra, soo beautiful!

I slept every night as a baby here!

The owner of the hostel was one of the friendliest people I ever met! She took good care of me and from the first second I got here I felt safe and comfortable. The hostel is a clean and it is filled with flowers and love. If I go to Mompiche again I’ll stay at the Mudhouse again.

perfect for a relaxed mompiche stay

Lovely hostel, lovely owners, lovely pets! All in all a lovely atmosphere. It’s a beautiful hostel surrounded with a lot of green. If you are lucky you can taste fruits which grow in the property and watch the birds eating bananas. The hostel is just around the corner of the local supermarket, restaurants and the beach! The cabañas are build in a ecological and traditional way what gives a nice touch with it and completes the perfect experience.

awesome stay, definitely recommended

Great and very kind host, location good, hostel is beautiful and good vibes. fresh fruits from the tree and hammocks. The Cabin was spacious and had a nice balcony with a look out at mangroves. (not that many mosquitoes)

just no hot showers, what wasn’t a problem for myself/my gf for washing the hair would be a nice extra

Fantastic price to quality ratio. Also, Andres the owner is a super nice guy. Extremely accomodating and easy going. Shared facilities like communal kitchen are great. And the Yoga deck is awesome. Gardens are super nice, with plenty of fruit you can just pick up from the trees.

Pretty great overall.

Peaceful stay in Mompiche

I really enjoyed staying in The Mudhouse. Everything is beautifully made and the cabins are surrounded by a peaceful green garden. The dorm is very spacious and clean. There are several common areas outside to meet other travellers and Mendee and Andres, the owners are superfriendly.

Easy-going and extra-chill ! Totally recommend :)

The place is simply amazing! It feels good from the first moment. Just 3 minutes from the beach there is also everything you need on site. Everything is clean, there is a small kitchen and a chill-out deck to relax in a hamack and enjoy the evening in a calm environment. The owner is very welcoming and gladly advises us on the right places in her little hand-made guidebook.
