Exceptionally clean, ample towels and toiletries, lots of space, lovely bed linens, and great location.

We so enjoyed our stay here; the hosts were easy to work with and quick to respond. The house and bedrooms roomy. We were so lucky - while sitting on the river deck we got to see deer crossing The Huron; a fly fisherman caught a fish right off where we sat and the site is so peaceful. We'll be back.

We stayed at Lisa and Doug’s home for a Michigan football weekend. Located in a charming little town, this home was perfect for our needs. It is close enough to Ann Arbor to get to town as frequently as you want, but provides a peaceful retreat from the college town. Communication with the owners was beyond outstanding and they have stocked the house to take care of any needs that may come up. We could not recommend this home more strongly. If you are on the fence, check out the pictures by the Huron River. This area is very private and all yours to enjoy. The icing on the cake, however, is the five minute walk to the cider mill. Amazing treats and cider to top off the perfect stay.

Perfect house for 4 adults. Perfectly located between Ann Arbor and Chelsea for visiting family. Walk to downtown Dexter for coffee, bakery, eating, the river trail. Bonus that it was Dexter Daze while we were there! So fun to see artisan booths and the parade!

Beautiful home

We were looking for a place to hang out and relax with our teenagers. They loved it. From the water way in the back, to the yard games, to the wood prepared for the fire pit, everything was better than expected. Ice trays full, plenty of towels, book with local dining and activities, we did not even turn the tv on. Definitely would return.

Very comfortable beds and very nice linens. Steps are steep to the river and the spiders were all over the furniture down there but what can you do? Nature. So pretty and relaxing. The little town is gentrifying so really cute shops and really good coffee.

Warm, cozy, comfortable home. Very clean. All essential amenities provided. Wonderful view of the Huron River. Easy check in and check out. This was our third time staying there, and we plan to come back in the future.

Six stars. Of the 10-15 home shares we have rented easily the cleanest and most comfortable. A beautiful location right on the banks of the Huron in a nice little town. Very easy access to Ann Arbor on GameDay. Thanks so much to our great hosts!

From the beautiful river patio to the screen porch, multiple fire pits to cottage garden, luxurious towels to comfy bedding - we couldn't have had a better stay! The cider mill a few doors down was open, so we hit that for regular/hard cider and standard/gf cider donuts. Dexter has QUITE the thriving dining scene within a ten minute walk from the house. And for a small town the shopping and coffee shops were great, too. Grocery store one mile away made provisions easy, but there were plenty of spices, oil, vinegar, etc at the house. Lovely welcome bottle of wine, too. Bathroom amenities provided in case you forgot something, what a nice touch. Our third VRBO rental this year was definitely the best.

We launched our kayaks at Hudson Mills and pulled them out at the house. Then took turns riding the B2B trail. Dexter has so much to offer, and this was the perfect place to enjoy it.

This cottage was absolutely adorable and deceivingly large. The owners were great to communicate with and the home was equipped with all we needed. Being on the river was so fun and we walked everywhere. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I booked this property to stop on our way back to Ohio from the UP. What a wonderful place to spend a couple nights. We spent our mornings and evenings catching bass and carp in the river…some up to 15 inches in length! The terrace was such a relaxing spot to have a fire and watch the water. Next time we will be sure to bring our tubes or kayak as so many people that floated by we’re having such a great time. The house is a less than 20 min drive to Ann Arbor however we absolutely loved the Main Street shops and restaurants of downtown Dexter more. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend and we hope to stay here again :)

The house was spotless. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked. Bath and bedroom linens were high-quality. The beds were very comfortable. The owners responded very quickly to any questions. The eco-friendly aspects were an added bonus!!

We were completely blown away by how beautiful and well-maintained this property was. Everything we needed was at our fingertips, and we loved the little touches placed all around the house and outside. The beds were comfortable and it was the perfect setting for our relaxing weekend away from home. We would love to return some day, and will definitely be telling our friends and family about our wonderful experience.

Tastefully renovated, very comfortable house at an amazing location. Lots of amenities. Backyard scene is incredible, with large span of access to the Huron River and a fire pit. Canada geese nesting directly across the river. We canoed from there in to Ann Arbor, and did the same by bike. Steps down to river are very steep. Walked the neighborhood and into town. Would love to stay there again!

We loved our stay! The house had everything we could possibly need, the river was amazing and was walking distance to downtown Dexter. We’d definitely stay again!

We absolutely love staying there... they pull out all the stops and have extras in the case you forget something. I can normally find at least one thing to keep a place from being perfect but its REALLY hard to find any flaws in this place. Can't wait until next time!

The home was spotless! There is a beautiful view of the Huron River out the back windows. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets, bath linens were plush. Lisa was very prompt to respond to the questions I sent her . . . usually within a few minutes. We will definitely stay there again!!

We stayed in Dexter for a family event. This house was perfect - location, nice neighborhood, close to trails and river, and most importantly (for us) super comfortable beds! House has everything too and a ‘nest’ thermostat which is great.
