Good relation proce-quality in Auckland's cbd

Cozy place with lovely staff in good location not far away from sky tower. Kitchen, bedrooms and common areas are quiet comfy.

It get's a bit noisy on the rooms during the afternoons due to the shop next door. Also gets noisy weekends nights due to the location on the pub's road of town.

Not good at all

The location was good. Very near to Auckland CBD. Auckland CBD was disappointing, too.

Very small hostel in the underground. Rooms without window. Does not feel ventilated. Strong smell.

No windows!

Very central location and clean bathrooms

No windows in the room, the beds creaked quite a bit, and we couldn't rent a lock for the lockers.

No había ventanas en la habitación y las alfombras se ponen olorosas con el tiempo, la cocina muy básica y carente de algunos utensilios. La cama se movía mucho y un poco incómodo subir a la de arriba porque estaba muy cerca del techo

Not to good

The property is not to good, is like a basement, the rooms doesn’t have any windows The only good point is the staff, especially Lucas. He is a nice guy and always try to help

Good for short trip but bring ear plugs

Spacious room, clean shared areas Amazing staff, came and refreshed the room as we extended our stay by a few nights

Property located near shops and clubs so it is really loud at the weekend and pretty much all day from around 9.30am Walls thin so tv from kitchen which was next door was extremely loud

Viel besser als erwartet

Meiner Meinung nach ist die Gegend in der das Hostel ist nicht so gut und ich habe mich nicht soo sicher dort gefühlt. Das Hostel war aber wirklich sehr sehr gut und ich war positiv überrascht. Ich habe mich dort sehr sicher gefühlt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Friendly service

Matthew, who was looking after us, is very friendly. He gave us a very warm welcome, and he is so cool to talk to. He is so great for his job. Thank you, Matthew 😊

You’re gonna need earplugs and noise cancelling headphones.

Very good location, easy access to city centre and nightlife / clubs / food etc. Property comes right out onto the main road. Room had air conditioning.

I did not get a single good night of sleep here. I paid for a private room, and was given room number 4. The walls are made of thin plasterboard, with zero sound proofing. I could hear every conversation in the room next to me, and worse still… room 4’s door opens directly into the communal area where people sit on their phones or laptops at tables. This meant people outside my door were having conversations ALL NIGHT. Indian men on the phone at 4-5am constantly non-stop on speakerphone, people being loud. The kitchen has no open and closed hours, so people are cooking at all hours of the night clanging pots and pans and being loud. I lost my tether one night and opened my door and told the guy on the phone to shut up, it’s 4am I’m trying to sleep. He ignored me and continued the conversation on speaker phone, and as the reception is not manned after 9pm there’s nothing you can do about it. The staff do not wear any ID or uniforms so there’s no way to identify who is staying there and who is a guest, and their English is… limited at best, so explaining anything to them is impossible. I gave up after trying to inform them of something basic and just being met with a blank stare. To get to the shower, you have to go through the kitchen… it’s incredibly weird having to walk through the kitchen with all your shower things to get to the bathroom with everyone watching you. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is actually quite good, but being a tall person I can tell you they do not clean at a high level, up high was pretty gross and has never been touched. I presume the cleaner is a short person. Last but not least, there are zero fire extinguishers on the property. I know this is a weird thing to complain about, but there isn’t even one in the kitchen. Not even a fire blanket, nothing. This is almost certainly a legal requirement, so it’s pretty clear the owner isn’t bothered. This is a basement property with only 1 exit - the stairs. RIP to all.

Great no-frills place to crash and lovely staff.

Brilliant location on K road, an affordable place to stay, easy to find parking on a nearby street. Receptionist was very helpful and kind.

Cheap.

Smelly, stuffy room. One toilet out of 3 was out of order. Cold showers by the end of the day.

Okay for one night

The staff was nice and the hostel has a good location.

No windows in the room and only a loud fan that moves the old stale air around. Very thin blankets and it gets cold in the night.

Central location, clean for a hostel

Quite clean for a hostel. Hard to find the entrance, need to look for signage above door. A few colourful characters outside but good security to get in.
