Amazing place to stay in Kefalonia

The apartment exceeded my expectations. It’s budget yes, but it is so convenient, super clean, more than decent in size, and with everything you need from the kitchen appliances, an iron, and a hairdryer. I also found the location very convenient: famous Myrtos beach, that has the best sunset views, is 15 minutes drive. The village itself is gorgeous, has Greek supermarket chain - AB market, where you can buy all the groceries and necessities, plenty great restaurants, and amazing ambiance. What makes this place special is Makis and his welcoming personality. If this place is still available - look no further! I would definitely stay here when visiting Kefalonia.

Amazing place and amazing hospitality

Amazing place, indeed spacious and very clean. We were absolutely impressed by Makis’ hospitality. The location is very quiet yet only 5 minutes away from the busier harbour.

A little gem of a hotel

We made a very very late booking on the spur of the moment and were in our room 25 minutes after booking. The hotel is a two minute leisurely walk from the harbour front with its bars and family run restaurants. On arrival we were greated very warmly and shown to a really lovely clean and modernised two bedded studio apartment with fridge ( inwhich, Macis the owner, had put a large bottle of water and two tins of beer) a hot plate, kettle and complimentary coffees, there is air con and a lovely balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Macis saw us on the balcony, trying a little wine, he waved, and 5 minutes later appeared with a plate on cheese, olives and crackers to go with the wine. This is a diamond on a place and if you book you won't believe how cheap it is what you get.

There is nothing to dislike about this place. It's budget,yes, but punches well above its weight

Exactly what it states 'Very Spacious Apartments'

We have just returned from our stay here which as the name states are 'very spacious apartments' refurbished for 2023. We received a very friendly welcome from the host and nothing was too much trouble. The location was peaceful with a beautiful view of the lush Green mountains and easy walking distance to the sea front. Spotlessly clean and crisp white sheets. Well equipped with appliances such as an electric hot plate, electric Greek coffee maker, toaster and kettle. A sort of continental breakfast was included. Plenty of wardrobe storage, a washing line for wet swimwear and towels and the internet connection was really, really good with an individual TP Link extender in the room. I would highly recommend anyone to book these rooms and we will certainly go back and stay again.

I don't think that anything could be improved, as I said, it exceeded my expectations

Good stay at Afrodite Apartments. Will definitely come back.

The apartments are located in a very quiet part of the village with the scenic backdrop of the mountains and woods. Short walk to the harbour. Apartments very roomy and clean. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of wardrobe space in the spacious bedroom. Hospitable host. Great Wi-Fi. Good Value for money.

Very spacious

The apartment was very spacious in a great location right in the centre of town and close to the harbour. It was basic but clean and very comfortable. It is an older style property, which is reflected in the price. I adore the little town and would be more than happy to stay in the same apartment again.

Dripping tap in the bathroom. This needs to be looked at as there is a big waste of water.

Really great host, great location, good quality for €€

The host and everyone we met were extremely nice and were invested in us enjoying our time and having everything we needed. Agia Efemia is small, so everything from the apartment was a 5 min walk max. The town is also a great place to use as a base to visit the northern part of the island, which is exactly what we wanted. Very quiet and calm. The apartment was very large, with a balcony looking onto the street as well as a private balcony on the other side of the apartment with a mosquito mesh covering the window to allow us to still enjoy the night air without getting fed on!

Some of the kitchen equipments were either missing, old, or dirty. Some of them could use replacing (the pot we used to make pasta vibrated on the stove because the bottom was no longer flat), but they did the job for what we needed. And when we mentioned that we didn't have a pasta strainer, we were provided with one immediately.

We would always come back

Great hosts, very nice and pleasant family. Very clean, rooms are cleaned every day and appartments have everything you need. Location is perfect, Ag. Effimia is the best location to stay if you want to explore the Island and it is very cute town.

Can’t think if anything we didn’t like.

Great place to stay. Nice hosts, clean rooms

We missed our ferry, next was late and got there at 1 in the night, and the host was waiting. The room was BIG. I don't think all the rooms are like ours, but we had 2 terraces, sofa, big bed, kitchen and bathroom. Host was very friendly and we had good time.

Nice experience

Niki is a kind guest, the apartment Is very confortable and in a good position. We liked It. Very Easy parking, next to supermarket , bakery and resturant. Good quality/price ratio!

We were picked up at the airport by Nikos who was kind and cheerful even though our flight was delayed till 2am. He picked us up and dropped us at the airport the following morning plus bought us a carton of milk for breakfast. Fantastic service!

Peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle!

The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well set out. With the room door and balcony door propped open there was a wonderful breeze through the studio. Little extras like a kettle and TV (to watch the Olympic highlights late at night!) were a bonus! Area around apartments is very quiet yet its a very short stroll to tavernas, supermarket and beach.

The ONLY fault we could find was that the air con was pretty dated and not very powerful which meant it took most of the night to cool the room down.

The Medicane Stay!

The apartment was excellent value for money, basic but enough there to do simple meals. The views up the valley are lovely, but now completely changed after the storm, still lovely though!

The once in a lifetime storm that trashed Agia Effimia! The loss of power, water and phones was challenging but hardly the fault of Afroditi.
