Very close to Shaka Marine Attraction and 360 views of harbour
I'd skip the breakage deposit part, it makes this place seem like the cheap motels around the city next to clubs...
Maybe increase the price so the relevant segment is attracted... I suppose it works for the property owners

It was nice, clean, comfortable and easy to find.
There were standby lights inside the apartment for load shedding purposes and also there was no additional/spare toilet rolls in the bathrooms.

Good location, easy access to the beach and Ushaka.
The facility does not have a washing machine which is a problem for guests. Further the stove has a faulty oven. These things need to be fixed.

1. We loved the location.
2. Loved the size of the apartment
3. Reliable wi-fi
1. The receptionist was unprofessional, unbothered and rude.
2. The fact that the R1500 breakage fee is not advertised upfront is some sort of false advertising as its only communicated once you pay your full booking fee, and without the R1500, you are not given keys. What if one hadn't budgeted for that?
3. The floors were sticky and slippery, we assumed it must have been something used to mop and clean the floors. As a result walking barefoot was a No No!
4. Toilet paper provided was insufficient and it ran out, with no replacement on sight. Later on when we asked the cleaner why this was the case, she advised us that we were expected to buy it out selves. That's ridiculous. Providing an extra roll of toilet paper surely won't inconvenience the business.
5. There was a dishwasher on site but with no dishwasher capsules to use the dishwasher, which defeats the purpose of having it on site.
6. The bedding used in the master bedroom was smaller than the bed (wrong bedding for the bed size used) .
7. There were no extra towels provided. For a family of 4 staying for a weekend, that could be a bit difficult and an inconvenience.
8. The key system used is an inconvenience as only one set of keys is provided and the tag is needed to Open the door to the underground parking. It's not practical when there's a family of 4 (2 adults) sharing 1 key as it means when one leaves, the remaining one needs to go to the basement to open for them as they can't be left at the apartment without keys.
9. The Master Bedroom bed and the pillows were hard, as a result we will be visiting a chiropractor tommorow.
10. The first day when we arrived at the boom gate, It was confusing as the security personnel didn't know what Serene Quays is. I think it's important that this information Is communicated.

The beds were comfortable. The apartment was spaceous.
* Hidden costs - I paid in full via Booking.com and then when I called the owner to check-in, I was only then advised that I needed to pay an additional R1500 as a holding deposit. Had I known about this, I would not have booked on Booking.com in the first place. Then I could not enter the apartment until I made this payment. The upfront payment was already steep... just under R3k then a hidden fee. Very unfair. If I didn't have the R1500 which was a hidden cost, I would have lost my almost R3k. I was advised to wait in the visitors parking (by the owner) until I paid the deposit. A really poor experience, left a bad taste in my mouth. Then I arrive at this apartment and guess what, it is dirty, poorly maintained and so not worth the bad experience that I had to get inside.

The location is nice and peaceful, away from the crowds and theres a nice view of the Harbour and a slight view of the sea.
The beach is a 2 minute walk across the promenade.
Has a nice big balcony and rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious.
The lounge is comfortable and has netflix included. The kitchen is sufficient.
They could consider having a braai stand on the balcony but I'm not sure if it's allowed.
