NEW Studio, Full Bathroom, Full Kitchen, Private Entry, Peaceful Yard with Views Available year-round, enjoy the peace, quiet, snow and skiing in the winter; the abundant wildlife in the shoulder seasons and the hiking, rafting and scenery in the summer months. "Where The Buffalo Rooms" a studio apartment situated up on a bluff above the town of Gardiner, Montana with amazing views of the historic Yellowstone Arch, Electric Peak and the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Our walk-out studio apartment comes equipped with all the comforts of home including a pillow-top, queen bed, full bathroom with tub and hand-held shower head and a full kitchen. The sofa with extended chaise is the perfect spot to relax, catch a movie or check your email after a full-day exploring Yellowstone! The full kitchen will allow you to fix your own meals and pack lunches in the available cooler for your journey into the Park. Smart TV and Wireless Internet are included. What we love about our home is that it is "in town" without being down on the main street. Our secluded lot is located up on the hill, about a five minute walk to downtown Gardiner where you will find shopping, restaurants, raft companies and more! The studio has an outside patio and lawn directly by the unit. Barbecue your dinner while admiring the view! There is private parking and a separate gated entry down to the unit. Our home is located up a dirt road, hill. Winter reservations will need an All-Wheel drive vehicle to be sure of access, even though the owner plows daily. Exterior security cameras are present on the property. We keep our reservation calendar updated to the minute and our description on this page is accurate. So if you feel this is the spot for your next vacation and your dates are available on our calendar, you are welcome to book directly without contacting us (use Instant Booking option). The studio was in a great location, easy access to Yellowstone. It was immaculate and the visitors binder was full of useful information. I would spend time at the beginning of your stay with the hosts, they are your most valuable resource!

Sooooo much nicer than staying in a hotel room! More spacious and just about every room amenity that you can think of for a similar price as a hotel. Awesome view of the mountains and the gateway arch.

You will have everything you need and more! Very comfortable, quiet, clean accommodations. The binoculars and the cooler were very useful while visiting the park. Communicating with the owners was easy and timely. Wish we could of stayed longer!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at The Buffalo room! It was perfect for a couple, and had everything we needed. It has a great view, is in a great location, and had personable touches like a guest book.

We spent a week in the Tetons and Yellowstone. None of the four places we stayed on this trip compare to the Buffalo room. Every detail was thought through on this accommodation. The bed was perfect and this felt like an oasis compare to the park properties. The location is a perfect launch site for northern Yellowstone. Bob

The Buffalo Room was a perfect place to stay for our Yellowstone Vacation - clean, perfect location (close to park entrance and downtown, every amenity you could think of(including bear spray), deer, elk and pronghorn close by, We could not have asked for a better place as it was so relaxing to come back after a full day in the park. Grill was also a nice touch to use to cook meal. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Yellowstone.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The place is perfect, very clean with lots of thoughtful extras. The view is splendid with a nice outdoor seating area decorated with flowering plants. There was even a deer outside the gate to greet us on arrival. 😀 The location in the town of Gardiner overlooking the north entrance to Yellowstone is great for exploring the park. We spent all week doing hikes and seeing sites there and still have more to see. We will definitely return. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the park as well. Thanks for a great place and wonderful vacation.

We loved our stay here! Great location in charming Gardiner. So close to north entrance of Yellowstone! Clean, decorated well with soft sheets and towels. Comfortable bed and couch. Host is very responsive if you have questions and has provided a well stocked kitchen with everything you’d need for cooking if you choose. Loved the outdoor sitting area with access to fire column. Sat out there every night to enjoy the beautiful view and perfect September weather.

The Buffalo Room was a great place to stay. Beautiful room, with amazing views. In town, but just far enough away to be very peaceful. You can walk to shops and restaurants. And the elk are everywhere, right next to our car at one point. Everything you need is right there.
The location for seeing all of Yellowstone can't be beat!
We loved it and highly recommend it for a couple.

We stayed here for the first two nights of our Yellowstone trip and this was the perfect start to our vacation. It was very clean and had everything we needed (pots and pans for cooking, beach towels for hot springs, etc). Also very convenient location to shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed everything about this place. It sits just above the town so you feel just out of the way of the busy main street but it's so close for all your needs. The apartment had what we needed to make all of our meals while we were there for 7 days. When the coffee machine didn't work, Barbara replaced it right away. The Bush's were accommodating and flexible and generous with allowing the use binoculars, bear and bug spray, a cooler, and books on the area. We can't think of a better place to have accommodated our trip to Yellowstone!

The property was very quiet. It had a great view of the Roosevelt Arch. We stayed in 4 VRBO's on our 3 week trip, and this one was the best. It was spotless, and we appreciated the bright lighting, especially in the bathroom. We were only there one night, but we wished we could have stayed longer.

We absolutely LOVED everything about the Buffalo Room in Gardiner. It exceeded our expectations in all ways. The location was walking distance to a small grocery and other shops. The view was breathtaking (especially the picture window in the bedroom). The garden is super charming and filled with flowers and a female elk greeted us our first evening as we arrived (and stayed a safe distance away). The Buffalo Room was immaculate and beautifully laid out with every detail anticipated. We stayed there three nights of our Yellowstone trip and it was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the park. Barbara and Allan have created a little sanctuary for visitors to Gardiner, and we’re so grateful we found their place!

Stayed 4 nights while visiting Yellowstone NP. The views from the apartment are amazing, you can see into the park and the cars driving to and from. It takes less than 5 minutes to get to the entrance of the park. As for the apartment, it was perfectly clean and had all the amenities you could need for sleeping, hanging out, cooking (full kitchen), and hanging out outside. The location is perfect and the hosts are very nice. Thank you!

We had an absolute blast at this hidden gem in Gardiner MT. The view from the bed is actually unreal. So many people have asked if this was a resort, definitely felt like one! Anyone visiting Yellowstone this is a MUST stay. Felt like home.

This property was excellent in every way. Spacious, attractive, clean and very well stocked. The two outdoor seating areas were a great bonus. Gardiner worked well for visiting the upper loop of Yellowstone. We would choose this location again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The view was phenomenal! The guest suite was immaculate, private, and had many extra touches that made our stay so much more comfortable (binoculars, throw blankets, several books on Yellowstone, etc…) And the bison theme was adorable!!

A beautiful spot just outside Yellowstone. Unit has a lovely view of surrounding mountains. It is very clean and well equipped. Thoughtful touches included. Wish we had more time to just sit outside and enjoy the view.

We absolutely loved our stay in the buffalo room. The studio was larger then expected compared to the pictures. We were on the go but I wish we would've had more time to sit on the patio and enjoy the amazing view. If we ever return I will definitely book this place again.

My husband and I needed a place to stay just for one night for our one year anniversary. Every plan we’d made earlier had failed and then I ran across this place that fit our budget. It was a wonderful little spot. The directions were great, the location very nice, the place was clean and very comfortable, and the view lovely. We even woke up the next morning to a beautiful deer right outside our window. It made our little getaway perfect!

We loved our stay at Where the Buffalo Room. The location is in town and close enough to walk to dinner, yet feels remote. The views are spectacular out the bedroom window, the hosts have thought of every detail to make this a perfect stay. Great winter access to Yellowstone; you can see the Roosevelt Arch from the property. Quiet, well thought out use of space, cozy and clean. We like to do our own breakfast and lunch and the kitchen was perfect.

Barb and Allan were great hosts. Their home is maybe 3 minutes away from the north entrance of Yellowstone. The space was very clean and private. They had all the amenities one may need including kitchen and bathroom supplies. The hosts were very easy to get in contact with if needed. The morning we left it was snowing quite a bit and they even shoveled us a path to our car.

Excellent experience throughout planning and the stay. The apartment was exceptionally clean and very well-appointed for those who are inclined to cook for themselves. The bed was comfortable and the Mountain View’s while lying in didn’t hurt! Would definitely return if in the area in the future!
