Situated in Lake Gogebic, this charming house for R 4,592 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our year-round Lake Gogebic vacation rental is "shore to please" with its access to a sandy beach shore for swimming, a sauna, and amazing fishing as well as its proximity to hiking trails and waterfalls, Porcupine Mountain National Park, 585 miles of ATV trails, and 3,000 miles of snowmobile trails (braap!). You can enjoy all the above, while staying in the coziness of our home. Our property includes MAIN HOUSE: –4 bedrooms (upstairs bedrooms are connected) –2 full bathrooms with tubs SAUNA BUILDING: –1 bedroom with pull-out futon –1 half bathroom with shower access in the sauna Our property also includes: two aerobeds, washer & dryer; full kitchen with dishwasher; dining area with table; TV with cable and internet; spacious living space with all window views that lead to a large deck with tables/chairs/grill; fire pit; small bar area; dock with boat lift; 2 kayaks; stand-up paddle board; beach toys; life vests for water sports; and a large driveway for parking trailers/ATVs/snowmobiles. The separate sauna building is very close to the main house and has a sauna, dry room (which includes hooks and shelving for snowmobile helmets and gear, as well as boot dryers during the Winter months) and bathroom mentioned above. Maple Ridge bait shop and Timberline Sports (new and used power sports vehicles, parts & service), are right up the road and we are located two miles from Bergland, which has the Lake Gogebic Outpost Mobil, Antonio's Restaurant, Trailside Barbeque & Brew, and the Bergland Bay Bar.

We had a wonderful time. The view from the house is incredible. The house was clean, and everything was as "advertised." This is an excellent property for a home- base to explore Porcupine Mountain State Park and other nearby MI state parks and waterfalls.

What a beautiful home! The photos on VRBO, just don’t do it justice. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift of a local bottle of wine and candle. There’s an open concept kitchen, dining room, and living room that was great for conversation and gathering. Our group of 6 slept comfortably. We enjoyed the panoramic views- watching sunrises, sunsets, and wildlife on the lake each day. Our group gathered on the deck to watch the stars in the evening. Our first day we relaxed and took in the view, played cards, and enjoyed just being away. Our first adventure was to Bond Falls, followed by lunch at Antonio’s. The next day, we took a trip to Porcupine State Park and visited a few falls on the Presque Isle River. The following day, we took a day trip to Copper Harbor visiting lighthouses and waterfalls along the way, and took a scenic mountain drive back with views of Copper Harbor from above. Our last day, a few of us went to Copper Peak (the views are breathtaking), and several waterfalls along Black River. Communication with Michele was simple and she was very kind, responsive, and helpful. We did our major grocery shopping at Walmart, just a 30 minute drive west. We may have enjoyed some ice cream from Dairy Queen before heading back. ;)

Great place to reconnect with friends! Open concept living & dining area was perfect for a gathering of 4 couples on a color tour. Beautiful view of Lake Gogebic. Even though we had rainy days, watching the clouds, ducks, & subsequent rainbows made a wonderful stay.

Long water view of Lake Gogebic. Very nice deck to enjoy the lovely weather we had during our stay. Panoramic views of the lake from the living room. Fully functional kitchen with everything you need to cook in. We crudités Lake of the Clouds, Ironwood, and Copper Peak.

The house was very clean and well stocked with towels, blankets and kitchen ware for cooking and grilling. The house and property is perfect, we had the best time staying here, we will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

Beautiful house right on a sandy beach, we all had a wonderful time. Very close to Lake in the Clouds state park and a lot of wonderful water falls. Everything was as described on-line.

The location is great with a very nice beach. Very much appreciated being able to moor at the dock. Only had one issue with an outlet and the response/repair was great. Plenty of parking as we had two trailers and four vehicles. We definitely recommend staying at Sandy Besch Resort.

We had a great time at Shady Beach! The cabin was just what we needed for a week. The weather (mostly) was amazing and the kids swam, kayaked or paddle boarded everyday. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed plus some. We had a little ran in with Mother Nature but the owners we very understanding and responsive with the issue. Very close to many sight seeing attractions that we took advantage of. Will definitely be looking into booking again!

We had a great time at the property it exceeded our expectations. Very comfy and well stocked for our needs. Our grandchildren had so much fun with kayaks and paddle board. Lake was shallow off the Sandy beach and was perfect for our gang. Lovely deck for playing board games.

The house and property is gorgeous! Easy access to the lake and plenty of space for yard games. The weather was not great for boating so we went exploring. Overall we had a great time with family and only wish the cottage wasn’t booked for next summer already.

Our family had an amazing stay. The pictures did not do it justice. The lake was so peaceful, the views from the house amazing. Our group ranged from 10 years old to 78 and everyone had a wonderful time. The house was well stocked and appointed. Kids and adults enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard. We had smores in the evenings and used the grill on the deck. The teens really enjoyed the sauna. We never turned the tv on because watching the lake was all we needed the tranquility and the occasional ducks floating by with their babies. It was the vacation we had hoped for but even better.

We loved staying at this place for the week. The beach is really great! The cabin had plenty of room for our family so when we weren't on the beach or in the lake, we were in the cabin playing games. We could also watch the Brewers because we could stream it with a firestick that we brought along. Having access to the internet was nice amenity! Dollar General being 2 miles from us was perfect as well. On one of the rainy days, we visited some of the bars on the lake and chatted with others about the Merriweather area and got some ideas for things to do next time we are in the UP such as Bruce Crossing and Bond Falls. We definitely would rent this great house again.

Great place to stay with a dog who loves to swim. Had a nice to grilling and relaxing on the porch while my Newfie went swimming. Also, great place to go see all the spots in the Porcupine Mountains.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was perfect and lake views amazing. What a great spot to gather with family and enjoy the lake. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The hosts were very attentive to any questions we had. We would definitely rent again.

The property was fine, but the weather was not conducive for a visit to Michigan's largest State Park. We were fortunate in one respect that we were a week ahead of the biggest snowfall of the season.

Watching the weather before the trip that called for rain. When we arrived, after one nice day, we were snowed in. There was plenty of games and things to keep us entertained. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to stay warm and cozy. Property management was easy to contact and quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay

Great little cabin! One bedroom was closed due to water damage, but it wasn't a problem for us. We had a small issue with entry codes, but owner was able to help quickly. Would stay again.

Quality family time was spent lakeside. Loved the open floor plan made it easy for everyone to be part of the conversation. The deck was large. The lake was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean and smelled nice. The bottle of wine and candle with a welcome note was a nice touch. We will book again.

We had an amazing time at this wonderful cabin! The cabin was clean upon arrival, and was so cozy throughout our stay. The views are unbeatable, and the location is convenient to plenty of hiking trails. We truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to be back!

We loved our stay at this beach house! The kitchen is nicely updated, which was great for us traveling with young children. Lots of bedrooms, so we had our pick of which rooms we wanted to sleep in and we were able to easily fit a pack&play in several of the rooms. The house is only about 30 min from Ironwood, where there is a Walmart if you need big store shopping. Otherwise, we hit up Bruce Crossing for groceries as needed. There are also a couple restaurants nearby and a Dollar General not too far away. The house does have internet and a roku also, which was a nice bonus for the kids. There was no A/C when we stayed (I think the new owners are considering adding that later), but the house actually stayed pretty cool regardless. High temps outside were around 80-84 but the house never got above maybe 74 degrees and cooled off really fast in the evenings with the windows/doorwalls open. The absolute best part of the house was the beach. The house has a huge deck on the back, which was great for outdoor dining and then stairs down to a beautiful sandy beach area with a fire pit off to one side. Our toddlers loved playing in the sand and splashing in the water. The water is very shallow for a long distance (past the end of the dock), which made it awesome for little kid swimming! We did run into a hiccup with the washer/dryer blowing out a fuse a couple times when we ran it. We called the management company, who were insanely nice and helpful, and they had someone out to fix the problem asap. It's never fun to run into issues like that on your vacation, but they fixed the problem fast and without interrupting us in anyway - very much appreciated! All in all, we would absolutely stay here again! I recommend this house to any one, especially those with kids since the beach/swim area is so nice for little ones!

My family had a great week at this house! The beach was perfect for letting the little ones and the dogs swim to their hearts content. It was shallow with no weeds or rocks. It was so great falling asleep while hearing the waves! The house was stocked above and beyond what I expected! There were more than enough place settings, and extras that we forgot like paper towels, sandwich bags, and aluminum foil. All communication with the owner was quick and easy. I would definitely stay at this property again!
