We stayed here at the end of September and we LOVED it! We stayed in the Le Botticelle room. The bed was comfy. We enjoyed the outdoor alfresco area, walking around the farm and did I mention the food, the wine and the views are AMAZING!! To get into Positano town, it is best to catch the local bus for a few Euros one way. The bus stop is about 20 metres down the road.
Nothing!! Everything was great

The included breakfast was served each morning and was varied and tasty. The staff were super attentive and welcoming. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome by Luigi who showed us around. We enjoyed dinner on site which was some very delicious farm to table fare. We also enjoyed the cooking class which was a lot of fun and a very unique and memorable experience. Rento and Antionetta really made the experience extra special. The grounds are lovely with beautiful produce grown right at your door step and fun animals to interact with. Also Antonietta connected with me via WhatsApp before our stay and was super attentive in answering any questions that I had.
We couldn’t get the air conditioner to work but it wasn’t much of a problem as it was cool enough. There are roosters on site which start up at about 5am and you could hear sounds from the restaurant above the room but it wasn’t much of a bother and easily solved with a set of ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. The road getting here was quite hectic but nothing that our taxi driver couldn’t handle.

The farm to table setting
The check in was so so chaotic- it really set us on the wrong foot with this establishment. It is technically a full time restaurant and not a bed and breakfast. We arrived to the hotel and Antoinette tried to give us a dark room which we hadnt booked, and said there was a mistake and if we dont like it we can go somewhere else. It was overall a rude tone. Luckily the rest of the staff were helpful and at least managed to somehow find an interim solution. The first night we stayed in a room we hadnt booked, the kitchen was not working but the hotel offered food to compensate for the room mistake. In any case, it was certainly underfacilitated and not well managed at all as a bed and breakfast. They surely didn’t care much about the guest experience.
I highly suggest coming here only for dinner or lunch and not to
You are better off finding a normal hotel or proper bnb, and the location is so high up on the cliff that it is a real mission to go from center to the beach and back.
20 minutes seems closeby but the cliffs and steps in Positano are insane! Dont make the mistake we did!

This place was beautiful!!!
It is a little far out. But there a regular buses

The bed and pillows were very comfy.
Based on other reviews, it seemed like the location was pretty accessible. This was not the case. The only way to get to the town was via a bus that only came once an hour and was always overfilled with people, no aircon, very unpredictable time wise, sometimes refused entry onto bus if too full, people were fainting, it was a disaster!! We got a taxi back one night instead and was €50 one way. So a big consideration before booking. We also paid ALOT to stay here for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned once. It’s a small room with no windows. The shower is small so water gets onto the floor easily, we had to use towels to dry the floor and these were still there when we checked out. By the last night we had to ask for fresh towels just to shower! The staff were so eccentric and inviting when we first arrived but we were basically ignored after that. The electricity went several times during our stay, sometimes for hours, which was not ideal as couldn’t charge our phones - no one came and spoke to us about this. Also without windows the room was in total darkness when it was gone and most importantly no aircon in 30 degree heat!. It’s also a restaurant which we ate at one night, it was a set menu and we weren’t told the price they just brought us food. The food was ok but we thought it was VERY overpriced !! Also the staff put pressure on people to pay with cash even though they did take card. Also we came home one night at around 9:45pm and the restaurant was still full so we said we would have a a drink in the restaurant with the nice view and nice atmosphere. We were told we couldn’t and had to go to our room!! We didn’t want to as it’s small with no windows. Eventually a woman told us it was ok so we sat, but the man who originally told us we couldn’t came back to us and said you have to go to bed now!! He was very rude. Never experienced anything like it. Overall we hated our stay here.

-Warm welcome
-Nearby bus station
-They have their own restaurant
-Breakfast is nice
-Dinner is pricy but is lovely with a lot of meat options, come hungry!
-The view is superb
-The room is spacious with it's own seating area outised overseeing the sea, incredible sunsets BTW!
-Far away from the coast, you'd need to take the bus down and the schedule for that is very confusing and never on time. You can hire a private car but that's super expensive.
-You communicate with so many people from the family owned property and you don't really know who's in charge all the time. I wish they could specify who to talk to so you don't get lost.

If you like mouldy rooms, loud music from 9am to 11pm, rude staff and inconvenient location then this is the place for you
Staff were arrogant and extremely rude. There is loud music playing from the restaurant all day and night. The rooms are just their side hussle for extra money, their main business is the cooking school so they dont care about the service. The rooms are mouldy and you sleep in damp sheets. You have to ask every day for new towels. The attitude of the staff is disgusting.

Antoinetta was so helpful (we didn’t meet her but it was all via WhatsApp). She organised a fantastic boat trip for us and arranged a transfer when we got off at the wrong bus stop upon arrival. She also gave us some good advice on where to go I.e Ravello.
Antonietta was super helpful (via WhatsApp) but the rest of the staff just seemed very preoccupied. Our room was cold, damp, and smelled of mould. Limited ventilation made it worse. When we opened the second door we realised our room was right next to the cold pantry where mouldy meat was hanging (see photo attached). For the 3 nights we didnt sleep given our room was directly beneath the restaurant and the creaky wooden floors kept us awake into the early hours. Roosters crowing also kept us awake, they awoke early and it went on for at good 5 hours every morning. And did I mention the damp smell of the pillows we slept on, it was awful. In terms of the location, it’s important to note that there is one bus every hour and a 50 minute walk down to Positano. I can see rave reviews for the restaurant which felt like a novelty at first. I have a small appetite and asked for small portions but the staff were quite forceful insisting I eat what I can. It was disheartening to see so much food being wasted and so I tried to finish what I could to the point of being sick. The wifi only seemed to work through the night (one bar strength) and first thing in the morning. This was another disappointment as it was promised in the booking description. I would not recommend.

View is magnificent!
Accommodation not great.
Cold, damp room with a musty smell is the biggest negative for what you pay. Photos on the website are accurate.
As the room has a double entrance door and no windows the only ventilation comes from windows in the outside door which is not practical when you need to keep the inside door closed due to cold airflow. Also had to request the room be serviced after the first night when returning from a day’s outing as this was not automatically done.
Dinners are extremely generous in variety and portion size but it is a set menu so can be a bit much.
Breakfast is included, but underwhelming.
Would not stay here again despite favourable review ratings attracting us here.

Amazing place to stay. They treat you like family. I loved the apartment and the food was over the top!
It’s a farm which is lovely but the roosters like to crow at 3am. But it’s a farm! The beauty and love outweighs any bad!

Had an amazing view. Room was big and cozy. Stuff was very lovely owner helped us to settle and answered all of our questions. Breakfast was big and satisfying. Luigi was very kind and always smiley. Very nice place to stay overall.
Place is up in the mountains. There is a bus every hour until midnight but if you miss the last bus taxis are very very expensive.

1. Nice view from the room.
2. Shower room is wide.
I don't know what their main business is. hotel or restaurant Because neither of these things is good at all.
A lot of dust under the bed and blanket.
Ads shown 600meters from the hotel to the beach. But I walked from the hotel along the road to the beach, it took almost 3 hours.
The room key is old and difficult to use without demonstration.
Room : Looks good, but when someone walks, the sound will be heard. Upstairs there are 2 restaurants at at 3rd ,2nd storey.
For hotel room, we have noisy wooden floors.
Breakfast doesn't show the menu, doesn't show the food.

If you are coming into Positano and want to make your way to Fattoria La Tagliata, you can take a 30-minute bus or car ride. Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted by family members who own the property and they took care of our bags. We were escorted into the kitchen of their restaurant, where we were then greeted by Nonno (the family patriarch/owner/founder), and then given glasses of prosecco. We were introduced to the entire family and it was one of the most welcoming experiences we had ever had arriving at a place of accommodation. After a small tour of the restaurant and part of the property, we were escorted to our private villa, which had its own private terrace with the most insane view of the Amalfi coast and down into Positano. The villa itself is gorgeous and was built by Nonno himself. It's private and close to all facilities, perfect for any type of trip, but especially for a romantic getaway. It's very worth taking the time to have at least a few meals at their restaurant as everything is grown and harvested on the property and the service is wonderful. They are also willing to accommodate serving your meal to your room or terrace. Make sure to ask for a bottle of their wine along with your meal. If you are interested in the cooking class, be sure to book ahead of time. We didn't get the chance to participate but we did get to see a class in progress and it looked like everyone was having a blast. We stayed for 3 days so we had a lot of opportunities to spend time with the family, get to know them, and feel true home-grown Italian hospitality. Out of our entire 2 and a half week trip, this was our favorite place we stayed at! It's truly exceptional and if we ever return to the Amalfi Coast, we will absolutely be going back.

Absolutely loved our stay. the warm welcome we got as if we were family, the stunning location, the views, the sunsets wow! we loved staying in a family setting with home grown veggies and animals. The room and balcony was perfect for our stay on the Amalfi coast The family that operated the beautiful establishment made us feel at home and were always friendly and helpful. Words can't describe the beautiful dream in staying there. Having breakfast and talking about life in Italy with owner made it extra special. Staff was exceptional. God bless them all.

the room didn’t have any windows and too small so for the money we paid it’s a bit expensive

Views were incredible, room was great, to include outside lounging area with full outdoor kitchen and bbq grill. Jacuzzi was great!
Getting there was challenging….definitely take a small car. Parking equally challenging. A bus runs from the waterfront area back and forth all day, but can get crowded. Check the time schedule! A rooster crows from sunrise to 9 am…LOUD! Some staff members obviously don’t like the job…but the vast majority are super friendly and speak good English. Preferred payment is cash.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was beautiful, the terrace had the most amazing view and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and some snacks free of charge. Nothing was too much trouble, every member of staff we met were friendly and incredibly welcoming. We ate dinner here for 2 nights and the food is all grown and freshly prepared by the family, it tasted absolutely amazing. One of the nights eating here was my birthday, they bought a dessert with a candle put and sang happy birthday which was such a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again, thank you Fattoria La Tagliata for making the start of our holiday so special. The hotel is quite a walk up from the town but we enjoyed the walk and used the very easy bus service other times. The town is very busy so staying slightly out of the chaos was actually very enjoyable.

The restaurant and cooking class are a must. The food and atmosphere are spectacular. The staff is excellent and welcoming. The views are breath taking .
This is more of a restaurant than a hotel. Our room was located in the cellar and that's exactly what it smelled like. Musty. The bed was far from comfortable, but it was clean. The bathroom had hand soap that looked like it had been refilled and small shampoo that also looked like it had already been used by the previous guests. Towels were clean. There is a large gap between the front door and the stairs to get in so we had numerous flys and we even had a small lizard at one point. Our room was located directly below the dining room... the place was packed every night for dinner and they had live music and singing...the party lasted till at least 11 o'clock, after the dining guests were gone they then began to clean up, which consisted of tables and chairs being dragged above us until 1 in the morning. After about 3 hours of sleep we were awoken every morning at 4 am the the lovely rooster that lives right outside our window. We ended up leaving a night early and sleeping on our friends couch-that's how bad it was.
