The whole experience is lovely! the bed is amazing, the bathroom amenities are top of the range, the view is beautiful and the people working there are super friendly.
I think as a frequent traveler for this price range you are paying per night I would have expected more for example, when entering the room, there was an open water bottle in the fridge. The toilet seats aren’t heated/ bidet which I would expect as the floors are heated. To enter the premise you require just a little more signage as is easy to miss, when existing to go to the spa, you have to walk all around the property to re enter.

The view and feeling of seclusion was excellent.
The breakfast was in line with expectations.
We requested memory foam pillows at the time of the turn down service which did not arrive. This was disappointing and resulted in a poor night of sleep, especially as our stay was only a single night.
There was also an error upon checking where the host thought we were a different couple - which created an awkward moment and re-printing of the itinerary. It would be useful for the host to ask what our overall objective of the stay was rather than rattle off all the various “experiences” available.

The serenity, hospitality, facilities and views you could take in with a walk through the valley, range and botanic garden options were stunning.
Not much to not like

The facilities, food and staff were all fantastic. The included experiences were also, especially the matching food and wine experience.

Views were beautiful, rooms were well thought out and comfortable. Interesting technology aspect. Beautiful bathroom.
Extremely overpriced for what is given. We were contacted continuously before and during our stay to book in for dinner at the lodge. We attended dinner on one night and found the food to be extremely overpriced for the quality received. Staff were not very attentive and seemed to be behind the bar chatting rather than spending time with guests dining (despite the fact that there was usually only one or two tables occupied at a time each night). Our final course (cheese platter) was forgotten (later delivered to our room with apologies), upon paying staff mistakenly presented us a bill which was double the price of what we ordered. We ate at Mt Lofty restaurant on other nights and found the food and service to be much more enjoyable. Breakfast was underwhelming and there is little offered - you almost get the feeling that you are being offered the bare minimum to save costs. No fresh juice and very little fresh fruit.
Room turn down service was only provided on two of the three nights (although we were our for dinner on all three nights).
During our stay, it was very windy and the wind was howling through the gaps in the side and bottom of our front door. This was cold but more concerningly, very loud. We had to put a towel underneath the door to be able to sleep.
All features (e.g. blinds, music, lights, etc) are controlled by a central touch panel. On our first night, the system started to play music at 4:30am. The system was 'updating'.
Overall, the lodge was poorly signed and it was difficult to find your way around - e.g. to the various walks which are suggested, or even to the pool.
According to the price, you would expect Sequoia to be on par with luxury accommodation like qualia (in QLD), but it fell very short. It was a beautiful venue but difficult to enjoy it when you are spending $1500 a night, and the value falls very short.

The privacy of the estate was very special. The quality of the room was of a good standard and the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.
The minibar could have been better stocked

3 rd time at Sequoia and it didn’t disappoint.
the only criticism would be that on the welcome paperwork and card it only had my name and not my husbands. only small but all things count.

Love the whole property, very private and exclusive. Loved the spas and pool with lovely change rooms. Love the extra inclusions like the julique products, chocolate and wine plus all the other products. Love the complimentary breakfast. Love the extra options like the nature walk etc.
No signs to know where to check in when you are outside the property and arriving for the first time. No sign to say where the buzzer is?
Beds are too soft but hard to please everyone
Difficult to talk to someone online for inquiries instead of ringing up.
Chairs in dining area are not high enough at the back. A little bit uncomfortable.

Staff brilliant setting and facilities great Breakfast was fantastic
No Written instructions to operate the TV and the inwall digital panel Biggest disappointment was Dinner at Hardy’s Restaurant
