Three families stayed for two weeks at Villa Christine in Makarska. The villa is in a quiet part of the town, up a steep hill from the centre and easy to get into town and to the beach. Makarska is a busy town with lots of restaurants, supermarkets and a very crowded beach (in August) but there are many other places to explore locally. The villa itself is well appointed with every room ensuite and with great wifi. The rooms at the front of the house benefit from aircon, but only one of the bedrooms has a/c. The pool was great with lots of sunbeds and seating and the view was fab. One thing to note is that the downstairs and upstairs operate independently, with separate front doors, which is great for two families or groups, but more difficult if you have small children that would need to be in the same part of the villa as their parents. The ground floor has two double rooms and a single, the upstairs has 3 double rooms. The owner Sandra and her family were very welcoming and could not do enough for us, resolving any issues we had very quickly and ensuring good communication about when they were coming to change sheets etc. They were absolutely fantastic.
