The property was very clean and in good condition. The AC was very strong. The accommodation overall was very comfortable. The staff did their best to try to meet our requests. The location was 15 min walk to the beach (although I would not advise walking). We rented a scooter and it worked very well. It was 90k per day, a tad expensive but we were fine with it. The beach close by is a good place to learn to surf and I would HIGHLY recommend Pantai Mawan (about a 15 min scooter from there). One of the best beaches I have seen in my life! It was nice to have a bar (quiet) above us if we wanted a drink. The area around is very beautiful.

While the staff did make effort to accommodate our requests, ultimately everything was an extra charge, not included, or not worth the initial price. I definitely felt the hotel was a bit stingy with their guests. Everything was significantly higher than in town or in Kuta. A massage was 250k for an hour (many places it would be 100-150/hour). The transport to the ferry was 500k but we got ours by ourselves for 350k to kuta and 400k from the hotel to the ferry. We also paid for the extra breakfast with the room ($3.5/p/d) and we were told that only the instant coffee was included at breakfast. I asked if we could pay a small fee for the cappuccino or milk coffee (as I can’t drink black Lombok coffee). They said it would be the full amount. Ok, while this seemed a bit ridiculous to charge your guests who paid for breakfast already 3.5 an additional $2 a day just to drink a coffee that you already make in house, I can understand that it is an additional charge. However, our last day, we had to leave at 7 am and were told the kitchen did not open until 7:30 am. As we paid $7 for this breakfast in advance, we were offered a “cake” as they would not be open. We said we paid for the breakfast and that did not really seem like a fair substitute. The front desk said that we did not “pay” for it but it was “included” in the room (we had to add it to the room for 3.5/person/day). We asked if they could give us yogurt, granola, and fruit to-go as this was one of the items on the menu and it could be made the day before if needed (as we asked this a day in advance). She agreed. The next morning we were given a couple pieces of fruit in a bowl with a spoon of yogurt on top and a piece of mint. While I appreciate the decoration, there was very little actual food to sustain us and certainly not enough to warrant $7 worth for two. There was definitely room for them to add yogurt or granola (which there was none).

Amazing hotel at the beautiful selong belanak beach

Very well located nice and beautiful rooms. Nice pool, where we always went for a midnight swim after the beach. You can reach the fabulous Selong Belanak beach by foot in only a few minutes and can also rent scooters in the hotel to explore the area which I can recommend. The staff is very friendly and you can find 2 good restaurants very close, one belongs to the hotel and the other one across the street.

Absolutely fantastic trip

Geoff and his team were absolutely brilliant, they were super friendly and nothing was a problem. The hotel was very comfortable, the pool was great, the bar was a really good meeting point with good drinks options, great quality food, music and multiple TV's for sport etc. Can't recommend the place enough.

There really wasn't anything to improve, Geoff and has team have got this one spot on.

Toller Aufenthalt

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber! Wir haben nur eine Nacht in der Unterkunft verbracht. Hätten wir mehr Zeit gehabt, wären wir länger geblieben. Man kann einen Roller vor Ort mieten. Das Frühstück war fantastisch! Auch haben wir zu Abend vor Ort gegessen, was wir auch empfehlen können. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Ich musste aufgrund einer Allergie zur Apotheke. Dabei wurde uns der Weg gezeigt und wurden sogar begleitet. Danke nochmals dafür.

- sehr nettes Personal, stets freundlich und hilfsbereit - das Außenbad war sehr schön (hätte allerdings ein wenig sauberer sein können) - der Pool war sauber und schön, der Liegebereich lädt zum verweilen ein - geräumiges Zimmer mit allem was man benötigt

- die Unterkunft bietet einen Rollerverleih an, allerdings waren diese für ihren Zustand ein wenig zu teuer (90k/Tag)

So welcoming

After four months of travel, Bruga Villas was the bit of luxury we needed. The beds and pillows were so super comfy, and the room a perfect size. The pool was definitely welcomed after a day out exploring the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was amazing. The omelette would be one of our favourites in the last four months along with the pancakes. The restaurant was an added bonus, and served delicious meals. The best part of our stay were the staff who looked after us from start to finish. Thanks to Ipul who was a great communicator and helped with queries with a lovely smile. We also want to say a special thanks to Tari, Ogi, Che Che Taufik, Andi, Han, Ayu, Wiya, Ajah, Ridwa, Alpi, Layili, Tika, Rani, Elen, Lis (hopefully I noted everyone) for making our stay memorable. You guys are the best 🩷

We are a older couple and the walk to the beach is to far we had to pay Rp 100.000 to be on a motor bike with no helmet to go to the beach this is not good management needs to change this

Good

Clean and nice pool with sunbeds. Cosy small verandas. Well equipped room, for example with safety locker, wardrobe, table, armchair, kettle, fridge. Nice outside veranda for breakfast which was very good. Also nice terrace with restaurant area.

The pillows were pretty hard and not comfortable for us. During two of five nights we heard loud noises made by animals (cats or monkeys) running on the roof.

Superb

Great place to stay. The hotel looks lovely, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is good, although slightly expensive compared to local places. There is a nice beach within walking distance.

Other than the beach, there is not much to do around the area. You will need a scooter or taxi to get around.

Excellent budget hotel which was higher standard than any other!!

The property was easy walking distance to the beach! The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing and very well priced! I wish I could have the recipe for the fish curry!! So delicious! The service was remarkable and staff were always happy to assist with everything! Highly recommend if you are a couple and want a comfortable room with cold air con and pool access from your room!

Spectacular! Very impressed with the service from staff and the rooms.

Very impressed! The staff were super friendly and helpful - they went to extra effort to ensure you were happy and receiving great service. I wish I could mention their names in this review but sadly I have forgotton. The rooms were great! Clean (I have high standards for this) and the beds were very comfy. Also the cupboards had an optional lock on them which was useful. I hope to return to Selong Belanak soon, and I will definitiely book to stay with Bruga Villas again!

Great place not too far from the surfer beach

Great place! Staff was so friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed it there. The kitchen was small but still had a lot to offer. Both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good food! The rooms were big and we especially loved the toilet and shower outside in the open (but still private.)

Best accommodation we had during our trip!

I came here with my mum and we extended for 2 nights because we loved it so much! It was the best accommodation of our 1 month trip. The staff was extremely friendly & attentive. They helped us with everything and made sure we felt taken care of during the whole stay! The food of the restaurant is great as well and the rooms are huge and clean! 10 minute walk to the beach which was fine for us, one day we rented a scooter through the hotel which worked fine! All in all, 12/10 experience to stay there and we will definitely come back if we ever go to lombok again! So worth it!!

Super cool and friendly stuff. Great large rooms with a big TV. Good Wifi, probably not good enough for remote working, but probably the best that you can get on Lombok.

Restaurant could add a few more vegetarian options for dinner.

Very comfy spot at Lombok's best beach

Very comfortable place (super nice beds!) near a spectacular beach. Teenage children enjoyed surfing-lessons and we all loved restaurants and bonfire at beach. Staff at Bruga super friendly, with a special shoutout to Wahid, who brightened our everyday with his cheerfull mood and attentive service.
