Pleasant Grove Cottages are located just six miles from Asheville. The Lazy Bear Cottage offers mountain views from every room, and is equipped with cookware, coffee maker(s) k-cup and ground, a deck with BBQ. After a long day of exploring you can unwind on the deck, or inside our brand new hot tubs while enjoying the amazing view. We are pet friendly and offer Hi-speed internet for business travelers. This is a perfect location to explore Asheville, The Biltmore or the Blue Ridge Parkway. Golf enthusiasts will be delighted to know that Reems Creek Golf Club is located just 3/4 mile down the road. The course was constructed by a famous British firm, designing a spectacular mountain view course reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. Our cottages are beyond clean and consistently receive excellent reviews.

The place was cute, clean, bigger than anticipated, with a great view of the mountains and a really nice deck for morning coffee!! Check in and out was very easy.

We have stayed at this property several times over several years. We always have a great time. Weaverville has a lot to offer from a quaint downtown and nice parks. Close to Asheville and other attractions. The house is always nice and always has everything you need.

Cabin was spacious and cute. 2.5 baths! Very well stocked kitchen including amenities like kitchen towels and some tupperware. The downstairs (which is carpeted) was a little musty smelling. The upstairs a/c broke on the first day but the host sent someone over to fix it as soon as we reported it. Generally a lovely property though a bit further out of town than we imagined.

PERFECT Place to get away
My husband and I were looking for a place to stay near Asheville for our anniversary. We are from Dallas so of course we did not want directly downtown, nature was a must. So we booked this amazing cottage. It was clean, great view, quiet and the location is close to everything. John the property owner was so responsive. Word of advice…read the book on the coffee table, it gives great advice and instructions 😊

The place was beautifully furnished. We ate in a lot so the kitchen I must say was great! We enjoyed using the fireplace everyday during our stay. Our puppies enjoyed the yard to play in. I absolutely loved our stay here.

Beautiful home.
A very nice place to stay with others. There were 4 adults in our group and there was plenty of room. It was very clean and our Host was easy to contact prior to our arrival. Close to our favorite restaurant in the area and close to DT Asheville! Would stay here again.

Awesome Stay!
My partner and I visited over the weekend. A few days before our visit, the forecast predicted we were in for a snow storm. We stocked up on groceries and watched tons of movies. John was fantastic in communicating with us and making sure we were safe! I would definitely recommend a stay at one of his properties and plan on returning in the near future!

Long weekend vacay!
My best friend and I surprised our Mom’s on this trip. We felt very safe at our location, it had a beautiful view, no disturbances at all. Every room was able to control the temperature. The TV was big and perfect for a Hallmark movie night to relax. The cottage was cozy and close to all the places we were going. It’s a very easy, short ride to Asheville and the Biltmore. We spent a lot of time at the Biltmore, Biltmore Village, and downtown Asheville. I highly recommend these cottages and we will stay here again! The host is also very responsive.

We spent very little time at the property but did have trouble with the ac heat. It was very cold sleeping for us floridians and we couldnt figure out how to get it warmer in there!
Also the family who slept in the twin bed room felt wet/damp in the beds.

Love this place
We always love to visit Lazy Bear. We love the view. The location. Perfect for family and pets. Close to Asheville and all the great things Weaverville has to offer. When going to Asheville we always pick John and his houses.

Area was super hot during our stay and the upstairs AC unit had trouble keeping up. Property manager did inform this was being fixed next week. Nice neighborhood for a short dog walk, but had to drive to find a longer dog walk. Drove into downtown weaverville snd found Lake Louise. Lots of great recommendations for local activities. Really the perfect getaway if looking to relax and enjoy the views. We loved the evening parasailers (or whatever it is called) Fun to watch these individuals take off from the mountain.
