About this chalet rental
Beautiful location in Bloomingdale with views of Whiteface Mtn and the McKenzie Mtn Range. You and your family and friends can enjoy the secludedness from your busy lives while sitting next to a campfire in the larg fire pit in the yard. Located only 10 mins from Saranac Lake, 20 mins to Lake Placid, and 30 mins to Whiteface Mtn., our home offers many close by outdoor activities and experiences (hiking, biking, boating, swimming, downhill and x-country skiing, skating, sledding, dog sleds, etc) We allow Pets - Only friendly dogs. Maximum of 2 dogs per stay. If you plan on bringing a dog(s), you MUST get approval first, let me know how many and breed of dog(s). Prior to leaving, especially if you have shedding dogs, please cleanup as much dog hair as possible. If an abundance of dog hair is not cleaned up, you will be charged additional cleaning fee. No Cats or other animals allowed in house.

Enjoyed a few days during the winter on a XC skiing trip. Convenient to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.

The house is beautiful, clean, quiet and well situated to get to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. This was our yearly trip to Saranac Lake for the Winter Carnival and to see the Ice Castle and we were very happy with the Chalet. Our group had a great time. We had our dogs with us, the yard was perfect for them to get energy out. The house had everything we needed from the kitchen to the rooms. There is plenty of parking for our group. We had a wonderful time.

The house was in a beautiful setting, close to lots of activities, and super comfortable. It was also great that we could bring our dog along (she really enjoyed the snow:)
We would love to visit again in the summer!

This is a wonderful house that feels like you are miles away from everything, But you are just a short drive/walk from the little town of Bloomingdale.
We enjoyed toasting marshmallows in the outdoor firepit (in November!), watching wild turkeys and deer stroll across the property and just hanging out playing games in the well stocked house. We had three generations for a mini- reunion and this was perfect for us. Thank you Craig for sharing!

Had a great time. Rained almost the whole time, but the house is great and when it was clear the view is outstanding. Outside deck is perfect for enjoying the view. Short drives to Saranac Lake or Placid.

Beautiful property and amazing host. Our stay exceeded our expectations in cleanliness, accomodation, and ease of anything you would need to enjoy a week in the Adirondacks! Awesome fire pit set up for the evenings, and we loved waking up to the amazing view every morning. If you are considering this property, I definitely recommend you go ahead and book it!!

The cabin was spacious and very clean! The beds were very comfortable. The lot is very private with much wildlife around. Turkeys and deer visited quite often! There is a nice view of Whiteface Mtn too! The property provides a great star gazing location. We loved the large firepit and enjoyed many fires by it! The village of Saranac Lake is minutes away from here and a nice small brewery right down the road in Bloomingdale on Rte 3. We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin.

The property was as advertised. The host was excellent and answered all my questions fully and quickly. Property was as seen in the pictures and great for a evening fire.
Will certainly stay again when we head back to Lake Placid.

WOW! Just wow! If you are looking for peaceful, relaxing place to get away - this is the place for you! Craig is wonderful - always answered our questions, always went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is gorgeous, the views are amazing. Craig the property owner has a lot of knowledge about the area and was able to provide us with any information we requested, even giving detailed directions about a beautiful scenic drive if you're trying to spot a moose. The cabin is on a big parcel of land which is absolutely beautiful in the fall. The children had a great time running around and playing in the big yard. Every day we were visited by deer and turkeys which we all enjoyed. The property is very private with all the necessities within a short distance. There was plenty of fun activities to do during the day. It was peaceful to sit on the deck at night, looking at the bright stars. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, toilet paper, blankets etc. but our favorite part was the Keurig with a generous supply coffee pods. There is also a regular coffee pot. I would highly recommend this property..

This was our second time staying at McKenzie Mtn. Chalet, and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. You will never find a cleaner property!! The host is wonderful - easy to communicate with and always available if you have any issues. Such a wonderful place in the Adirondacks. Can't wait to visit again. Thanks so much Craig!

The house is beautiful and has everything you could need. The location is quiet and peaceful but close enough to shops and restaurants if needed. Well maintained and the owner is super easy to communicate with. We have an older kid but the layout could be tricky for families with younger kids just because the master bedroom is on a different floor from the other bedrooms.

We were all impressed with the location and the property. All of the rooms were clean with up-to-date appliances as well as kitchen and bathroom facilities. With the back property facing south there is full sun, and moon, most of the day. We also had several wild visitors such as a deer and her two fawns as well as wild turkeys all over the place!

House is a phenomenal location and has all the amenities one could ask for. Plenty of space for card and board games or hang out by great fire pit with a spacious back yard with a great view!

Great location and property! Secluded with ample open space for the puppy, wildlife to watch, and close to Saranac/ Lake Placid and lots of hikes. Check in/ out clearly outlined and easy, and Craig responded quickly when We had a concern about the fridge. Would gladly return!

Loved the cabin! The night sky with no light pollution was amazing and we've never seen a nicer fire pit. Craig was so accommodating and everything was there that we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything in the house was great! Everything in and around the house was exactly as stated on the listing. The yard was also super awesome for our dog, who loved all the space. Great place to stay.

July Family Get Together
We enjoyed our time here it was wonderful by having so much room for everyone, campfire, decks to enjoy the Mt. views. We felt like it was our private get-away! So much to do in the area for each day we stayed. We all enjoyed this property so much!

Beautiful Home
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week at Craig's home. The house itself is very comfortable. Plenty of seating in the living room, beautiful master bedroom with a view of the mountains, huge bathroom with a soaking tub as well as a shower, lovely deck facing the mountain view. We made good use of the gas grill on the deck. We hiked Baker Mountain, hiked to Moose Pond and visited the John Brown Homestead which I would highly recommend. Also spent time walking around Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We really enjoyed the Camp Fire restaurant in Saranac Lake for a fine dining experience. We would love to come back to this beautiful home and highly recommend it to others.

The cabin is wonderful, complete with all sorts of utensils and even a dog food and water station. It was a very comfortable stay. The cabin is well-lit inside and out when you need it. The property is beautiful and the huge field the cabin sits on was a dream for my dog.

Perfect for a Ski-Cation!
This property was even better than we could have hoped for! The communication with Craig was prompt and detailed. The lodge didn't lack for amenities. My husband and I (and our small dog) stayed for a few days while we skied at nearby Whiteface Mountain, and then toured Lake Placid. To come back to such a warm and comforting environment at the end of a very tiring day was sheer bliss. We are already talking about visiting again in the summer/fall and you can be sure we will stay here again. Craig thank you for everything! Stacy O'
