THIS IS A NOISE SENSITIVE PROPERTY AND LOUD GUESTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Access to beautiful hiking trails in Griffith Park are only 5 minutes away by foot. This 4-bedroom gated home has garage parking for 2 cars, driveway parking for one more and wide open street parking if you need additional parking. We had a fantastic week at a Hollywood Hills rental property. Its excellent location, cleanliness, and seamless experience made it an ideal spot for a family getaway. The quiet surroundings and proximity to tourist attractions added to the overall charm of our stay.

The house had enough room for my party of 10! The neighborhood was great and there was enough parking for all 5 of our cars. We planned to cook dinner together one night and the kitchen was stocked with literally everything we needed.
As for Shawn, the host, he communicated very efficiently! I felt bad that I wasn’t responding enough, but it was such a busy couple of days! He made sure we had all the info + checked on us regularly to ensure we had a great stay!
All 10 of us would definitely stay here again!

Just finished a trip to LA with some guys and we had a great time. No complaints about the place. Plenty of space, close to West Hollywood, quiet, clean. Seeing the Hollywood sign out of most of the windows never got boring

The views are spectacular and the most important thing to me was a quiet, safe neighborhood plus space for all 5 of us and this property was 5+ stars in all those departments!! The drive up the hill is like a daydream, how all those beautiful homes got there is a marvel!! Not to mention it was exceptionally clean and host was beyond attentive and kind! Easiest check-in/ out process ever, we are forever spoiled! The location relative to Universal and everything else Hollywood has to offer couldn’t be more perfect!! I wish we could have stayed longer!!

The house has great views but has a few things holding it back.
First, are some strange design decisions. The master bedroom has cable TV but does not have access to the private bathroom. The second bedroom has the private bathroom but no cable TV. The ceiling of the 3rd bedroom is not fully enclosed, anyone staying in that bedroom can clearly hear any noises from the adjacent living room and kitchen areas. The 4th bedroom had no window coverings, so we did not use it. The garage has 2 doors leading into the house, but one door cannot be used while the garage door is opened. Unfortunately this is the door which is next to the panel for opening the garage and lights.
Second, a number of things needed repair (or were not working) when we visited. The 2nd bathroom had a broken lock. The garage door remote wasn't working. The keys to open the windows in the 4th bedroom were missing. However they did leave us a surprise gift when I reported these, so at least they care.
The road leading to the house is very windy and narrow. It basically can barely fit 2 way traffic, but pedestrians (there is no room for a sidewalk) and parked cars make this a short gauntlet (about 5 minutes). What we realized though, is you can take a slightly longer route and get to the house from the top of the hill (instead of the bottom). This reduces the gauntlet to 1 or 2 minutes.
Lastly, the internet was spotty, I think they use DirectTV due to its location in the hills.

Great spot to relax with family - plenty of open areas for lounging and eating. Beds are super comfy and everyone had separate areas to retreat. Patio was cozy and private. Beautiful views and SO quiet in the Hills! Great place to take walks and easy to get to the amazing coffee shop, The Trails, at the bottom and take a hike up to the observatory. Getting around LA was super easy and this was a lovely spot to return to after fun and busy days.

This house is amazing. It’s a beautiful hillside home with the most amazing views. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great location. Great house. Great host. Our host was very responsive with any questions we had. Will definitely stay there again.

Great stay in Hollywood Hills!!
THE VIEW WAS AMAZING!!!!! The pictures don't do it justice!! The house is cozy, good for 3 friends or 3 couples. Great location only like 10 mins from the Hollywood Blvd strip with lots of restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

The host always makes the difference and Shawn was always responsive. From my first question (approximate location) to where's the laundry machine (hidden behind a sliding wall). I also liked how he didn't have a million things to do at checkout. In fact he only asked (nicely) we take out the trash cans on trash day. Place is accurately depicted in the photos. A few things to note. The room with the twin beds doesn't get good A/c. My kids didn't mind but that room is warmer than the rest of the house that has excellent a/c. This house is in the Hollywood hills. Roads are super twisty and narrow. Totally fine if you drive slow. We fit a minivan inside the garage so no problem parking two cars. You can also run to the Griffith observatory (very hilly). Nice playground for kids about a quarter mile away. Finally appliances are great and lots of good quality Costco buys like pots and pans to shampoos and body wash. Great place, great host!

The views from this property are amazing!! Well worth it. Overall our stay was awesome. House is pretty close to food, shopping, and other necessities. Location is in the hills so the roads are narrow and curvy. Uber/Lyft had no issues for accessing property and were very reasonable rates for downtown and Hollywood . Only downside was the noise restrictions. This house is definitely not a party location sound travels and the houses are literally right on top of each other. The owner reminded us numerous times prior to check in about noise restriction so we were extra cautious, however, the house can fit up to 10…at 7 ppl I was concerned that we were making too much noise in just normal talking and laughing. Also for larger groups splitting showers at different times of the day may be a good idea because the hot water runs out fairly quickly. Communication with the owner were great. The house is in need of some minor repairs to include the washer (which owner was actively working), the door leading from the bedroom to the garage bottom lock doesn’t work so you have to lock it with the key and the garage door wasn’t working but that could be something minor as a remote battery or operator error but owner was notified. Overall great, safe, quiet location.

Tv didn’t work but they fixed it, dryer didn’t work much at all. Can’t get in through the garage, have to go in front door. Bathrooms are small.
That being said, awesome location and views and great space if you want to be in the hills and have more than a hotel room. We’d stay there again!

Look no further- VIEWS ARE BREATHTAKING
All I can say is OMG !!! I was expecting an awe moment from looking at the pictures (which does it no justice) but the in person experience was way better. Everything I mean everything was properly prepared check in was very detailed which I was shocked from other bad experiences. Very communicative and really professional and prompt at getting back with you. I will visit again and book again solely because of the his experience he provided. Oh and the VIEWS IN THE DAY OR NIGHT IS TRULY TRULY BREATHTAKING!!!!!!!!!

Review for 5661 Spreading Oak
Overall a good house. However, there were some things that were not described such as paint chipping in the bathroom, damaged light fixtures. Additionally, we found a chunk of hair stuck to one of the bedsheets which is especially bad during times of this pandemic. Lastly, it was tough to get in contact with Shawn after discovering these problems. Once we go in contact with him, he assured us that he would call us the day after to talk about solutions to the problem such as a partial reimbursement. We never ended up getting this call back and Shawn hasn’t contacted me since. On the bright side, if these problems were corrected in the future, I would stay at this property again.

A nice property in a great location
We enjoyed our stay, and the manager was very accommodating and quick with communications, e.g. ordering a desk lamp and providing a floor lamp. The house is in a very nice neighborhood, with lovely views and walks nearby. It was very quiet. The outside space is small but very serene and catches some sun, while the indoors is cool. The beds were comfortable, wifi good, and the living area spacious and pleasant. The kitchen was functional. The cleanliness was mostly fine. Overall, we would recommend this place, we did enjoy it.

Best spot in LA and the views to die for!
I have stayed at multiple places before in LA and around the world and this place is at the top! Beautifully designed, super clean and most importantly the views from every room are amazing! Of course the views but having comfortable beds at the end of the day is super important and often overlooked, but not here. I asked Shawn where he bought the mattresses because I wanted one! Haha. We got lucky to get the booking and couldn’t have been happier! Shawn answered all of our questions super quickly. We cooked at home for 8 people and the house was fully stocked and great for eating in! Thanks for the amazing stay!

Unbelievable house! The view was like nothing my and my family had seen before! The place is first class in all ways.
