Very good location if you don't mind being a little isolated from the city. Beach is excellent. Walkable to turtle release. Tasty room service menu if the staff is on duty (sometimes). Good value overall.

Sorta scary to walk here in the dark (cliff, not many lights). Facilities are basic. Fan room might not be enough if you get hot easily (some rooms have AC). Limited food options.

It's a good option if you don't mind a very hippie lowkey vibe in exchange for immediate access to -imho- the best beach in Puerto Escondido.

Beds are uncomfortable and provided sheets don't feel too clean. You will also find many bugs which is kinda normal for the environment, but be wary. Do not trust the wifi, it simply cannot be trusted –unless you hit the rooftop and are willing to stay under the sun with your computer in order to get mediocre signal, for example.

Location

The property did not look like the photos, it is in extremely poor condition. It looked like something out of a horror movie set. We were worried about the structural integrity of the building as it appeared a landslide had damaged part of the hotel. There were so many issues - we were glad to only stay one night 1.The front door would not lock. We had to wait while it was getting fixed. This should have been checked prior to check in. 2. The hotel has unsafe exposed edges, form work and a previous structural collapse as you enter. 3. Reception is unclear, we ended up at the hotel next door with all our luggage and had to try find reception in the heat. 3. The room smelt of mould and urine particularly the bathroom. 4. The toilet would not flush (I had to go to toilet ontop of my partners faeces). We were not informed of the water being turned off. 5. The taps in the bathroom were seized. 6. The toilet leaks from the base onto the bathroom floor- unsanitary and slippery. 7. The bathroom was unclean and very poorly maintained. Holes in the wall poorly fixed, missing areas of silicon, grout etc. 8. The bed mattress springs were broken. We had to flip the mattress so we could sleep as it was extremely uncomfortable. 9. Staff did not really care - mentioned that they are leaving the business the next day. 10. Expensive for a horrible experience

You pay for the view. The rooms are like a lo fi hostel, very small and basic.

Breathtaking beauty at your feet. Admire one of the world's most beautiful beaches right from your hotel window, then go down to it 6 floors below. The layout of this all white building, and the site, and the view, is spectacular, unique, and very romantic!!!

WARNING: Access to this hotel is by foot only, by descending (!) 6 to 8 floors by steps. No elevator. Automobiles can't get close either! The beach is even more below. This hotel is ONLY suitable for people in good shape, who can easily climb up and down six to ten floors while hauling all their luggage.

Me and my friends love this place. It is located directly to a beautiful beach, the stuff is really nice and helpful. On the rooftop is a kitchen and some sun loungers. It’s really nice to eat and chill there.

There is no air condition… During the day it’s really hot, so you have to spend the day outside.

The location

I was given a room in a different hotel, not La Coral with no prior warning or explanation. The hotel room was in a very poor condition hasn't had maintenance for years, looked like a prison cell, there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom, no wifi in the room. The staff in the hotel I was put in were friendly but terrible communication with the staff at La Coral. Not sure why they are advertising rooms if they do not have any available. Overpriced and the amount I had to pay was more than the total price on booking. Would not recommend.

Everything besides the view and the kitchen on top. The bathroom was smelly, like not cleaned after the last 3 guests. The beds were very uncomfortable. Happily we had 2 beds in our room so we could lay out the pain from the night before. We left 2 day earlier then our booking because we saw also some cockroaches hiding in the dark of the bathroom. Also the water pressure was a joke. If i can add pictures to this review you will see it. They were explaining to us that they could try to clean the shower head to make it more good but neither good was the water pressure in the kitchen on top of the building. Wifi was also BAD! DONT COME HERE IF YOU NEED TO WORK! i was having mobile Telcel data and it worked but their wifi was just out on some times of the days. The owner was trying to tell us "this is Mexico" but we are staying now in a place in Puerto del lomas and the wifi is top! No problems at all. Netflix is no problem. So I don't know what to think about his answer. Oh and let me mention some yellow bubbles in the beach water..don't know what that was but there is also a restaurant on the beach. If you want a beautiful view and are able to drink/smoke yourself everyday into sleep, this is the perfect place for you. If you want to look forward to coming back to your room, or at least not dread it, I think after reading my review you know that this is not the place for you. When we left the owner asked us to see another room but we left as there was no way we could risk staying another sleepless night. We needed a change! Really sad there is so crazy much potential in this place!
