Nestled in Waitsfield, this attractive farm stay for R 2,606 per night is a great option for your next trip. Beautifully finished wide pine flooring throughout this 1848 built historic home. Relax in the deep claw foot bathtub overlooking the Mad River. Enjoy a separate entrance with a private entry way that has plenty of room for your winter gear. There is a beautiful covered porch with a view of the historic Waitsfield covered bridge. The location cannot be beat, with only a half block walking distance to local swimming hole, restaurants, shops, and library. Walk to the Sweet Spot for breakfast and home from the Pheasant restaurant for dinner after a long day of skiing in the winter, or swimming in the summer. This one bedroom suite is also less than a block from the Mad Bus/Free Shuttle to local spots including Sugarbush Ski Resort, grocery stores, Lawson's, Mad Taco and other local stops. This suite has a king size bed with hotel quality sheets. It has and additional twin size bed as well. Enjoy plentiful storage for winter or summer gear. The room is complete with a mini fridge and microwave that is adjacent to the coffee barrel table. This suite is located in a separate upstairs wing inside the main home where the owners and their children reside. The doors to the main home will remain closed/locked for the privacy of both parties. There is non sight parking. The home owner is a licensed VT real estate agent.

We enjoyed this cozy and spacious ‘suite’. Much more room than a hotel - spacious bathroom, dinette area, and bedroom. Very clean! Walked to Waitsfield for dinner via wooden pedestrian bridge. Owners very responsive and helpful. Would stay again!

The vrbo was great. The door to enter is on the left side of the house and go up the stairs right when you walk in. Once upstairs there is a little breakfast area outside of the bedroom, a large bathroom and the bedroom with two beds, tv and couch. The space was a little larger than I expected. It was great. As a heads up this is walkable to the restaurant “peasant” but need to make reservations well in advance on weekends (I’d assume a couple weeks). I would definitely recommend this vrbo and would stay there again.

Great space and you can walk into town. Huge bathroom and tub - no shower. Huge bedroom, bed and pillows. Nice to have a little kitchenette between those rooms

I can’t say enough good things! It was a beautiful farmhouse with easy access to the village. It was very clean and as described and the tub was wonderful! They provided some coffee and tea and they have a microwave, fridge and toaster to make some quick meals if needed. I met Rachel outside in passing and she was very nice and responsive during my stay. Such a cozy classic Vermont feeling space! Felt very safe as a solo female traveler here!

Our stay at Rachel's farmhouse was everything that we expected and more. The property is in a beautiful location, steps away from a charming wood bridge, local shops and small eateries in Waitsfield. It backs against beautiful Mad River with a walking path nearby. There is easy access to Sugarbush, Mt. Ellen and Mad River Glen ski areas. Free shuttle is at the end of the street. However, if you want to explore the area more, it's best to have a car. We didn't actually meet the owners but Rachel communicated very clearly before and during our stay and we knew how to contact her if anything came up. She left the loveliest treats outside our door for Valentine's Day. If you're looking for a low key vacation in a picturesque Vermont setting that is not over-touristy, this is the place to be. We'll be back.

Rachel’s place was a delightful getaway for my daughter and I. The bed and bathtub were especially luxurious and allowed us to relax into Vermont country life for the weekend. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Rachel!

My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend at this property . We arrived late due to traffic and at 9:00 pm after a 61/2 hour trip I was tired and it was so nice upon my arrival to have the owner come out to let me know I was parking in the right space and if there was anything I need to let them know . The place was very clean and the bed was super comfortable and wonderful linens . Very spacious and the owners were always available to answer my questions . The location was also perfect . Thank you so much ! (a great bath tub as well) !!

Quaint little room on old farmhouse. Heads up to those tall travelers, the shower does not accommodate well. My husband who is 6’1 was able to look over the top and found it difficult to rinse with the hand held sprayer. Overall the room was clean, but I did find numerous pet and/or human hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the tub. The room was quiet warm despite it being cooler outside, needed to utilize the a/c which was a little noisy. Close to town and fit the bill for our short stay.
