It is a brand new property with beautifully and tastefully arranged garden and pool. It is very large and spacious, and the furnishings were to a high standard. Air conditioning worked well. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive. The villa is located literally on the slope of Etna, with great views from the terrace and surrounding areas. We also found the raised elevation of the property makes for slightly cooler and more pleasant temperatures and lower humidity when we stayed in July. The location makes a great base for touring the eastern side of Sicily, with Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Catania all about a 1/2 hour drive away. We also found the town of Acireale very charming with a lot of interesting architecture and fascinating little alleyways and quite undiscovered by tourists.
