We loved the fabulous view of Dartmouth from our room and patio.The room had everything we needed. We don't normally eat big breakfasts. However, we couldn't resist having a cooked breakfast by Shaun every morning. They were delicious. Thanks, Rose & and Shaun, for making us very welcome and giving us information on Dartmouth. Your hospitality was appreciated.

To obtain the beautiful views it comes with a price. There is a short and initially steep climb from town to Guest House. It didn't bother us, but it might be useful to know if you have mobility problems.

The location is perfect and the view from the terrace us breathtaking! The breakfast was quality and plentiful. Sean and Rose are the perfect hosts.

The couple that run the guest house, were lovely. Left us to it, but there when needed and what can I say about the view from the room... I could never get bored of that view, it was amazing.

Nothing about the guest house, but that hill in the sun was a bit of an effort. 🤣

The property is up a hill which is steep in parts. Was ok for us but something to keep in mind!

1) no duvet 2) decor in room very dated 3) carpets old and worn 4) breakfast could have been more varied (fresh pastries and more variety in fresh fruit salad (just banana, apple and kiwi)

Everything! Great location. Shaun and Rose are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The view from our very spacious and comfortable room (Castleview) was stunning, to the extent we left the curtains open all night! Lovely full English breakfasts, with other options.

Excellent breakfast, very comfortable room and view of the naval college and the Dart estuary were great. Sean and Rose are excellent hosts in all ways.

The room was advertised as small double in reality the room was very cramped and the bed too small and very uncomfortable .

Spectacular view ! Shaun and Rose were very friendly hospitable hosts. Very nice breakfasts. Castle view room was comfy and spacious with a magnificent view

The walk back up from the river ! The hoppa bus was very useful to get back up to the top of Mount Boone, with a short walk then back to Mounthaven.

Everthing from the word go, weather was great the view from the bedroom was amazing overlooking Dartmouth Harbour/estuary

The view from the room was absolutely stunning. The room was nice and spacious and had everything you need including a fridge to keep the wine cool (essential). We had the best view of the fireworks on the last. Night of regatta too - even better than watching them on the harbour! Shane and Rose were so wcoming and helpful, breakfast was delicious - especially the homemade jam and marmalade!

Well what can I say ..... such an excellent find for a B&B! ........the first and biggest point being ...the view from our room ......amazing! couldn't stop looking at it! we stayed in the Castle view room ...it was large and spacious throughout including the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was exceedingly clean and tidy. Loved the addition of the mini-fridge! The hosts were so lovely and friendly....it was a bit like a home from home ...visiting your grandparent's house :) it was relaxed and nothing was too much for them offering much advice, hints and tips for the surrounding area. The breakfasts were lovely with good choices. The added bonus of parking on site was very helpful as Dartmouth doesn't offer many accommodations with this feature due to it being an old Deven town. It was only a 10min walk down to the main town and riverfront. With it being on top of a very steep hill, which adds to the views, it might be a challenge for those with mobility issues, however, you could get a taxi back up if this was the case. Overall I can not recommend this place enough! I would definitely stay here again! It was our first time in Dartmouth and wow what a great place.... I will be back!

The location was perfect and the breakfast was very nice. Dartmouth is a lovely place to visit and would like to go back again and stay at mouthaven. The view from our room was breathtaking especially when the sun was going down.

I liked everything

Beautiful property with very impressive views. Spacious and comfortable room again with a fantastic view. enjoyed the breakfast with lovely home grown fruit compotes and fruit salads.

Would have preferred a "stand up" shower, but the shower in the bath came with the room with the spectacular view so can't complain. Quite a steep climb from the town back up to the property but at least it kept us fit and helped to work off all the calories we had piled on.
