Pas de petit dejeuner
L'environnement qui ressemble a un bidonville, mais le logement n'en paraît que plus propre et irréel.
De plus une église très proche nous a permis de "profiter" des vociférations de l'officiant.

Nice kitchen, bed was super comfortable. Had 2 AC units, plenty of space in bedroom, sofa in kitchen. Iron and board when requested. Nice closet to hang clothes up. Photos are accurate.
3 keys necessary to get into the house. The locks were not easy to unlock and lock. Only one towel for two of us for 4 nights. Water for drinking ran out. No freezer for ice cream. No pot holder for oven use. No can opener in kitchen. Only one outlet in bedroom so you can’t hook up all chargers and have lamp work. The church directly behind the house had an event every night we stayed that was very loud. The host would not take us to the terminal as the owner had offered. It was 9 when we checked out and check out was at 11 and he gave the reason that there wasn’t enough time. Not what I would consider cooperative. The app said one amount and then they raised it when we arrived and wouldn’t accept any credit card.

Exceptionally friendly host, good internet connection (50mb download, 5mb upload), location can be serviced by Caribe Shuttle. I took the shuttle from Puerto Viejo at 8am, arrived at the apartment around 11:30 and returned to Costa Rica using the 12pm shuttle from Bocas (pickup time was 1:30pm). There is a little supermarket nearby but I'd bring my own food next time. Visa run February 2023.

My husband and I had work in the region so we wanted a place with a kitchen and WiFi so we could prepare meals and work. We set our expectations very low, because we are familiar with the accommodations in the region. We even packed inflatable mattresses, linens, pots and pans, etc. We never unpacked any of it. The house was very nicely appointed with an ample bedroom with queen and twin beds. It had everything we needed.
AND, it is pet friendly, so we brought our Chihuahua with us. We walked each evening in the surrounding neighborhood. Our neighbors were very friendly.
This is a very nitpicking comment, but I wished there were some hooks for hanging wet towels. The is evangelical church behind the house, which was loud at times; but not too late in the night. They need to update the photos on booking.com, because the property is much nicer than the photos show.

Good things,a
The apartment by itself it's really nice for a couple or a single person, it's a really nice space to live in temporarily.
You have your own mini fridge, stove with oven, and some appliances like microwave, kettle, skillets, a couple of pots, some silverware and dishes (almost everything came in sets of four, except for silverware -no forks- and the dinner plates and dessert plates were only 3).
The room has a very good size, there is only one full bed, and a puffed chair.
Outside you have your own parking area and patio, if you want to tan and don't mind neighbors watching. At the park you have these nice trees. It is the first time that I have ever seen this type of tree. I like them very much.
The other neighbors are nice and will invite you to have some coffee or take pics of their flower garden. You get the rural lifestyle right there, with the roosters wake up call and everything!! Also you have some restaurant options in walking distance, and you are fairly close from downtown, if you didnt rent a car. Most likely I'll stay there again, taking some considerations (earplugs and quick dust-off).
Before starting with my review I think that is fair to clarify things:
I suffer a lot with allergies, specially with dust, so I tried to find places that are quite clean. Also, I had to travel with my mom, and even though she doesn't have any allergies whatsoever, she is very picky... veeryy, SO... If you don't have any allergies issues, or travel with picky relatives, there's only a couple of things that you might agree with me, that are uncomfortable with the apartment and can't be solved, but in general, it is a nice place.
With that said and cleared, let's talk about the facility:
The room:
Only one outlet… yes only one, so charging multiple devices has to be made in different areas.
The TV doesn't have cable and unfortunately is not a smart TV that you can just connect to Roku or Netflix or Disney Plus or something and watch whatever there, so you can only watch one channel without the distortion.
The bathroom: It is the only area that it's extremely small. I'm not sure why even though they had a lot of space in the property, they decided to build such a small bathroom. It should have measured at least 2 ft bigger. Why? I'm not huge, I'm only 5'6 and when I sit on the toilet, my knees are 2-3 inches away from the front wall, so if you have this tendency to kind of kneel to the front and put your elbows in top of your knees while you're "on the porcelain throne" you'll end up with wall right in your face. My mom is smaller, and I placed her as an example.
The other problem that is not in your hands to solve: surroundings.
On one hand, you have a Pentecostal Church right next to the apartment, so If you want to sleep early on a mass days (before 7pm), it's going to be difficult. Then, I believe we have the local "Kingpin" as neighbor too.

We had a terrible trip coming to changuinola, delayed flight and road closures, it was late and dark but Mrs Fulvio and Mr Grey, they were very friendly and wait for us and guided us to the location, we were 4 hours late due to road closures.
We enjoyed the short visit.
