Excellent resort & Great service. The room was clean and had the amenities we needed, breakfast was delicious and with many choices and Ali was very helpful, not just checkin n checkout but also in giving directions to spots.the location is great n very comfortable, I would recommend to friends and will definitely stay again. We booked this place for 2 nights and paid some advance amount (like for a day). we checked in around 9:30 pm first night. Bedsheets and towels provided were not clean. Lost power early morning for like an hour and no backup power provided. No keys were provided to lock the property from outside. Breakfast provided was mediocre with not much choice. It was an overrated place with no amenities and charged a very high amount (Rs. 11,000 per night) for the stay. So, We didn't like the place much. We left the place for site seeing and were not sure of staying there as it was also raining. we later talked to the person incharge over the phone and told him that we may not come back. He said that is fine but we have the pay the full amount based on the policy and I asked him to send the details by email as It said cancellation was free any time when I booked it and I wanted to check with booking.com before I make any additional payments. After confirming to the person in-charge that we will not be back, We drove back to mysore that evening. During this time, me and my wife received multiple phone calls from him about not paying the balance amount. We ignored his calls for some time until we got to Mysore so I can talk to booking.com Customer service first. But He called my wife later and talked to her(while i stepped out to call booking.com) in a rude and unprofessional manner telling us that we ran away and he has never seen people like us and he will file a police complaint against us. she is not fully aware of what happened and got very conccerned. When I talked to booking.com customer service, they said that cancellation policy gets updated automatically as we get closer to the reservation date and I had to pay the full amount unless the property mgr agrees to it and he didn't. So, I paid the balance amount that evening. Poor customer service was provided by the property. Listing this property as the best deal in the search results is a bad thing for booking.

The caretaker was a really kind person , and the stay was very clean. Breakfast was good , Overall a great stay.

We liked the location...The hotel id built inside a plantation in the midst of trees. You wake up to the chirping of the birds. Take the room on the first floor on the backside. The rooms are spacious for two persons. There is balcony with s settee where you can enjoy the sunrise.

The restaurant facilities could have been better. There was no variety in breakfast menu and the taste was average. Plus the hotel does not have a automatic start of the generator in case of s power failure which is quite frequent in Coorg. You do not get Vodafone network and in case of a power cut you are completely cut off

Location is a huge plus - small property nestled inside a coffee estate - the property is away from all traffic and noise of the town. Also the property is just 6 km away from Madikeri town and the roads are well maintained.travel time would be only 15 mins.we had our own private vehicle so our travel was a breeze.the property has ample parking space. Food - very tasty and homely food. This is by far the best homely food i have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was included and was like a small buffet. They also have a kitchen downstairs and a decent menu to order anytime. Cleanliness - neatly maintained rooms and bathrooms. Hospitality - the checkin was hassle-free. there is a caretaker/manager who is always there on-call. Very friendly and polite support staff Overall we liked our stay at Kingmakers plantation.Very practical for a 2 day visit. Note : this is not a resort - so please don't expect attractions or views inside the property and please don't expect continental buffet spreads. A simple stay with nature.

The top floor looks like it is newly built and needs some sound proofing.

Fantastic location with Nice staff to support, especiallyfor families. Kids will enjoy the location. It's around 8km before reaching Madikeri town from Mysore.

1. Nice Location and breakfast. Chirping of birds woke us up in the morning , which was really heavenly. Also there were coffee trees around, aroma of which was amazing. 2. Friendly staff

1. We booked for 5 people (initially for 4 but later requested for 5). We were charged for 5 people however the extra bed was just a single mattress on the floor. Later the manager waived off Rs 500 because of that, however experience wasnt great. 2. Bathroom towels were dirty and used. 3. Bathroom doormats were ripped and dirty 4. There was a foul odour in the living room, which was quite upsetting

Loved the buffet breakfast spread that was complimentary. Our room was also upgraded to a balcony room at no extra charges.This is a quiet place on a byroad from the madikeri highway. For people looking to relax from the bustle of bangalore this is highly recommended. It's nested amidst serene coffee plantations and is very peaceful. Guests can walk down to the stream flowing below the property and enjoy the nature. We loved the food. The chicken kebabs and coorgi chicken and ghee rice combo was excellent as was the multi spread complimentary breakfast buffet. It's very reasonably priced and we paid around 2.5k for a balcony room despite booking the day before. Hope to visit soon again.
