One of the first houses built on the hill above the town of Stinson Beach. There are two rooms: one bedroom with a queen size bed and an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area. Cozy and lovely with comfortable furniture. Single wall construction (meaning, not insulated ) with good forced air heating and a free standing fireplace in the bedroom. Perfect for 2 people. Fully equipped kitchen Wifi and television w/Netflix, Hulu, & Arorn Propane gas stove and heater Wood burning stove and outdoor firepit Outdoor garden dining area Gas grill Hot tub Lovely veiw of the mountain from the front porch Located in a neighborhood surrounded by parkland Close to hiking trails Ten minute walk to beach - down a steep hill No washer/dryer Near the Bolinas Lagoon, a bird watching paradise and site of nesting herons, egrets, and harbor seal pupping site. The area is known for its natuaral beauty. The town of Stinson is very small with a grocery store, a book shop, a surf shop that rents surf boards and wetsuits, a kayak rental business, a few boutiques, a gallery, three resturaunts and a library. Please be aware there are no gas stations for ten miles, so be sure to fill up before coming over the hill.

Beautiful cottage right in the heart of Stinson Beach! Location was perfect - just a short walk to town/beach. The cottage is magical, not only did it have everything we needed but was so charmingly adorned - everything from the fixtures to silverware and art made you feel like you were escaping to a whimsical and inspiring place. I don’t feel like the listing or this review does the place justice. We would love to come back!

My stay was dreamy and magical with the fog in the morning and light filled afternoons. It was a quiet beautiful cottage filled with personality. Not like most rentals, this one had a personal touch. There were small mementos, sculptures, iittle paintings in every corner. It was well curated, not overwhelming -and after 2 nights I would still see something I had missed. The garden was lovely too, filled with flowers and hummingbirds. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed for a perfect stay.

Cute- Welcoming beach cabin. Had a lovely time in this OH so Cute diggs, decorated tastefully, comfy bed, great small kitchen and lovely garden and Hot Tub. Stayed 6 days 5 nights, had many beach walks and enjoyed doing BBQ on grill and relaxing.

This was a perfect retreat for a short stay or a long retreat. Theresa’s place was cosy, extremely comfortable and inspiring. There was plenty of room indoors and out. The accommodations were as pictured, perhaps more expansive. The gardens were lush. Access to town, market, beach and simple necessities within easy walking distance. It was a joy to stay in this dreamlike home.

This is the kind of cottage that makes you yearn for the simpler, slower lifestyle. It’s beautifully decorated, completely stocked, perfectly landscaped, and located up on a hill in beautiful Stinson Beach. It’s a scenic 10 minute walk down to the beach with some of the most beautiful coastal flora California has to offer. Theresa was very responsive and sweet. We enjoyed the hot tub during the cool coastal evenings. I hope to return frequently to this beautiful little cottage.

The ambiance of the cabin was wonderful, and felt very natural and welcoming. The garden is well-kept and beautiful. The location is convenient for hiking, walks, or just relaxing. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a weekend getaway.

This little cottage is a slice of Heaven on earth. Leave everything behind, shut the gate, and you will find yourself in another world where time slows down (or you will!) and cutting carrots or getting tea becomes magical! The hostess thinks of every detail for your comfort and calm. Immaculate. High quality linens, towels and all - the best! Fun and interesting art everywhere, including the interesting and creative furniture. Indoor bed is SUPER comfortable. There is even a “sleeping porch” for listening to nature. This is a true “retreat spot.” Visiting is a feast for the eyes and your soul! Enjoy! And if you like to be inspired, you surely will be!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The cottage is cozy and close to great hiking, beach strolling, and ice cream! The hot tub is perfect after a long hike. The artwork in the cottage is awesome - you could spends hours just admiring all the wonderful pieces. Host was great and communicated well. Great stay and wonderful getaway.

This was our second time staying at the cottage. We love it here! Owner is very friendly and hospitable, and the artist’s cottage is adorable and eclectic. The gardens are beautiful. The hot tub was just what we needed after a full day of cycling Marin County. A short walk up down the hill to the beach and restaurants — we will be back!

Our stay at this property was delightful—the garden and indoor spaces were even nicer than anticipated from the already attractive photos. The furnishings, amenities, and layout were aesthetically pleasing and thoughtful...everything felt easy in terms of moving around and using the space. Location was quiet yet accessible to town, the beach, the mountain. Would happily return, and highly recommend.

Had everything we needed. Would have liked a closet, but it seemed full perhaps with the owners things that I didn’t want to disturb. Those cottage is comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very cute cottage, walking distance to a small market, the downtown area, and the beach. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet with occasional deer walking around for morning walks. Tess was very responsive in communication from my arrival through the day I departed.

Had a great time hiking and enjoying the hot tub. Very quiet and comfortable! a couple of screen windows would be great to allow us to keep the windows open all the time and keep out the occasional fly. Overall, lovely place to stay.

This cottage is so cute! Owned by artists, the rooms are busy with art pieces of all kinds. We spent the first couple of hours just looking at everything. Only two rooms, the square footage is small — but they really maximize the space to make it feel open, bright and comfortable. Each day we kept looking around and finding new interesting things to be intrigued by. Very close to town and the beach, a short walk for us (we are an active couple). A romantic spot that maximizes outdoor living and indoor coziness.

An older cottage circa 1914. A true Stinson Beach original with a very good vibe and well decorated. A true beach house that is both private and quiet. It is located just uphill in Stinson. We loved our stay!

This cottage was amazing! It has so much charm and lots of great looking art around the house. Short walk downhill to beach and awesome location to downtown restaurants and right by trailheads for hiking. Great hot tub to soak in at night and fire pit of wanted. We will definitely stay again.
