My husband and I brought our Danish nephew for a week at the beach. It was a great visit and I loved sharing some of my home state of NC with him.

Great view from the deck! Close to everything you need. Pool is awesome for a dip at the end of your day. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

This condo is just like it is advertised. Perfectly appointed. Very clean. Communication with Jocely was incredibly timely. We were short one pillow cases to make a bed and she had it fixed within 30 minutes. We spent many long afternoons on the porch reading. It’s so close that you can be at the beach without being on the beach. A view from every window makes the space extra airy and bright. Loved this place and cannot wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The ocean is so close you can hear it with the windows closed. The condo is lovely and fully stocked with everything you need. The location is quiet and convenient . The ocean access is quick and easy.We appreciated the beach chairs and we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony watching the surfers nearby. It is definitely a little piece of paradise.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Carolina! The condo was clean and adorable! The access to the beach was very convenient with great views of the ocean from the balcony! We really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the huge selection of DVDs and games during our stay because the weather was not the best! Thanks again for everything!

Sisters weekend at the beach and we called this condo a bucket list location! Literally right on the beach. Had chairs, umbrella, anything you could wish for.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! It was exactly as described but even more beautiful somehow. The host was wonderful and helpful and we loved falling asleep to the ocean each night. Quiet, clean, and so convenient! I can’t wait to come back.

We had an issue with the front door lock. Owners came right away and had the lock replaced. We had a great time.

My family and I spent Spring Break week in this amazing condo. Every thing was just as described. The views from the living room, the bedroom and the porch we absolutely amazing. Getting to hear the waves crashing at night as you fell asleep was awesome. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. Good food close by and all the shops and stores you could want or need. We would definitely stay here again.

This ocean view condo was perfect for our Outer Banks getaway! It was beautifully decorated and clean. It had everything you could possibly need. We definitely plan to visit again!

This is truly a unique find. The balcony looks directly out on to the water. It was magical falling asleep to the sound of waves. The condo itself is excellent with every possible kitchen accessory there. My husband loves oysters and there was even an oyster shucking knife in the drawer. The photos really don’t do justice to how lovely this place is. We will definitely book again.

This VRBO was perfect for our needs. We looked at and heard the ocean waves from our bed and the living room. The kitchen was well outfitted with everything we needed. All TVs worked with access to many choices. I was thrilled with 2 GREAT grocery stores minutes away. Also Duck donuts. Also a Tesla super charger. Off season but there was one very good restaurant in Duck, 15. minutes away. The beautiful, wide beach was steps from the building. The 2 bedroom apartment was not overly decorated, one of my big issues with these rentals, and all of the furniture was comfortable. The place also had nice light and cross ventilation as it was on the corner. Being that it was on the second floor there was a perfect view of the beach over the dunes and we only had to lug our luggage up one easy flight of stairs. A consideration when staying for 10 nights. I would recommend this property without reservation. Also easy parking and a gracious front desk manager.

Our stay was just what we needed. Quiet and relaxing. The beach view is beautiful and so are the accommodations. Hope to return soon.

My friend and I went for a girls getaway, and this condo was such a great find. Being in OBX in the winter is the way to go. We loved sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the morning as we watched the ocean. The beds were super comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. They provide clean, individually wrapped sheets and plenty of towels. The keyless entry lock on the door was a touch finicky, but we were able to get the hang of it. We hope to stay again one day!

Sweet Carolina is exactly where you want to stay for a beachfront vacation. Perfect communication. Gorgeous sunrise right from the deck. The beds were so comfortable and you could easily hear the ocean in the master. Delicious restaurants within walking distance. This place has everything, even community condiments in the fridge. It was a huge convenience that you didn't need to bring anything extra. All you need to bring is a beach towel to relax.

This place was absolutely amazing! The host communicated everything very well. Beautifully decorated and it has everything you and your family could possibly need. The oceanfront balcony is so close to the ocean. Our short, weekend trip was to help our daughter celebrate her birthday and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to be! We look forward to staying again soon!!

The condo was lovely. Very nicely decorated and clean. Owners were very nice and took care of a couple small things immediately. The weather was terrible but was great for us to just spend some time relaxing. Only thing was the stay was too short. We will definitely come back for a longer stay next year.

First, this condo is truly beach-front. It's hard to tell by the photos--this unit is on the second floor and sits about the height of a protected sand-dune right in front of it, then the beach. You go down one flight of stairs, over a few units, and onto a passageway that takes you to stairs (up, then down) to the beach. Second, this unit is truly well and nicely equipped. When you arrive, you will find your sheets, pillow cases and towels plastic-wrapped from the cleaners on your bed. Other than your own personal toiletries, most everything else is there in the unit. If you normally use a second full-size towel to dry your hair, etc., you will need to bring your own (if a hand towel will not do). You will find many extras including: blow dryer, huge box of board games, televisions in every room, extra pillows, a box fan, 4 beach chairs, a boogie board, floating noodle, fly swatter, as well as 3 beach buckets and shovels. My husband and I found the king size bed very comfortable. When one of us turned over, the other couldn't feel it. Nice! If you want to cook your own meals, everything you need is there. There is a huge Publix grocery store so close to the unit that you could walk there. If you want to go out to eat, you will find nice places to eat nearby. Our favorite was Kill Devil Grill; it was so good that we ate there twice. The entry door to the unit is a little tricky to use, but it has a key code, so you don't need to worry about having/losing a physical key. The parking lot is convenient and private for residents only. We had no issue at all finding a parking space, though we were traveling off-season (end of Sept). There is an office on the first floor should you need anything (where you get the parking pass). And, the life guard tower is located right next to the Golden Sands building and the deck outside. The owner, Jocely, was very responsive and nice whenever we reached out to her (to let her know we got there and when we were leaving). We were able to check-in a little bit early because the previous tenants notified her of their departure and the unit was cleaned. The ocean was still warm at the end of Sept when we visited and we lucked out with the weather, getting temps in the upper 70's and low 80's, leaving just before the effects of a hurricane nearby were felt (it was extremely windy and the sand was blowing hard). To sum it up, we'd come again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful rental. amazing ocean views. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for the family. beach is great. Grounds and pool are very nice and well kept. Perfect spot in the outter banks. Nothing but good things to say. Will be going back.

We loved our stay here! It was a perfect spot to go with our toddlers. The beach and the pool are steps away. We loved the kiddie pool and playground! It was a nice surprise to find beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and sand toys for us to use. We cooked almost all of our meals and found the kitchen to be well stocked. It even had plastic kid plates, bowls, and forks/spoons. We hope to stay here again someday!

We lucked out when someone canceled and we were able to book this beachfront gem. Perfect for two couples, with it’s two king beds rooms and two full bathrooms. The location couldn’t have been better. Beach front with a lovely view and a few steps to the beach. Close to shops and restaurants. It’s modern, clean, and well stocked (beach chairs and umbrella were available for our use too). Jocely was super nice leading up to our stay answering my questions quickly. I highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Beautiful property. Great location

Location was perfect for the attractions we wanted to see. Condo was great. Water was so comfortable and clear. My son and I snarkled a shipwreck just 200 yards off the beach. Would stay again.

The check in process was simple and easy. We loved the condo and was big enough for our group of five. Unfortunately, like all homes, things tend to break. The AC unit was not working properly and it wasn't until that evening that we noticed. We were able to contact Jocely and she had maintenance there the very next morning. She was super helpful and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

The ocean view from the condo is the main reason we wanted to stay there. Every morning had coffee on the deck and cocktails in the evening. The place was clean and the host was extremely nice and accommodating. We usually rent at the northern end of the island, a bit more spacious and less crowed up there than in KDH, but we had an AWESOME week and HIGHLY recommend renting from this host.

Upon arriving at the Golden Strand my daughter said the place looks “crusty”. The ocean wears down things faster than other climates however there was nothing “crusty” about Sweet Carolina. The apartment has been recently updated and has all the amenities you could possible ask for. Two king size beds and two bathrooms. A terrace that looks right out on the ocean. Perfect place to have your morning coffee or an afternoon happy hour. Convenient first floor condo makes it easy and quick access to the beach. There is a large pool on the complex if you are looking for a change of pace. If you like you can just stay at the condo all week. We had breakfast and lunch at the condo each day and choose to eat dinner out each night. We love to cook but we were on vacation. There are plenty of fine dining options near the condo. There is a Publix supermarket one block away from the condo. Who could ask for more? If you’re dreaming about spending some time in the outer banks look no further than Sweet Carolina.

We’ll definitely be back to this condo when we return for another east coast vacation!
