Amazing property, location is perfect. You can see the ocean (and sunset) from the deck, which from the look of the neighborhood looks like its in the best location around! Inside the house was clean and comfortable, with all the basics that you need. Quiet location, but also within a 5 min drive (15-20 min walk) of all the local restaurants and a great strip of street that has all the shops you need. We went into downtown S.C. and didnt find anything until we came back to the house and stopped at the local shops! Great walking location to get to multiple surf lookout spots, where the locals seem to gather early evening to just watch. Overall, awesome house and great town! Will be back!

We've been to Santa Cruz many times, but this was our favorite by far. We enjoyed the easy access to the path by the lake for walks with our dog. The local beach is very accessible and perfect for our boys and dog to play in the surf. The house had everything we needed for a great stay and a nice view towards the beach off the back deck.

Great location in Santa Cruz! Beach is in walking distance, and many Santa Cruz activities are a short drive away. The house is cozy and comfortable, and the great view makes it an excellent spot to relax as well. Clean and pretty interior with very comfortable beds.

perfectly appointed home with beautiful views and quiet neighborhood...the loft was a favorite for my kids and the upstairs balcony area with fire pit and views of the beach were the perfect coffee spot first thing in the morning and cocktail wind down in the evening...the home was open and airy and secluded...we could easily roam into noisier areas but home was quiet and serene...

We enjoyed everything about our visit, especially the fire pit and deck furniture and it was nice having the beach chairs to use when we walked to the beach. We enjoyed dinner at Shadowbrook and this property is close enough for you to reserve their complimentary antique car service which was a fun experience. I didn’t know for sure whether there was a trundle bed, but it is downstairs in a room connected to the queen bedroom and it was welcome space to accommodate our family with the third private space. We didn’t like the crazy $150 linen fee for an already pricey property but oh well. Also trying to get the insurance that we declined but we’re charged for refunded, will update on that. This is a great area to enjoy, I’d recommend staying longer than a weekend, but some fun and peace is better than none!

Our stay here was great! Proximity to the beach was amazing; a 2-3 minute walk. House was clean, and the two separate master bed/bath areas were ideal for two couples. Kitchen had all we needed. Fire pit on the balcony was great!

The house was in the same beautiful condition as it was listed. It was clean, bright, fresh in feel, and so cozy. The views of the trees, lake, and ocean were incredible. There were so many perks to staying in Surfview, the main one being that you could walk out the backyard gate to the beach... so close and right there. You could also take the path to the woodsy trail by the lake for a long walk. Everything inside the house was beautiful and top notch! We can't wait to book and stay again!

The home was in a nice location-- paths to the beach and town. The view was amazing and hearing the waves very soothing.
Inside the kitchen had all we needed and the bedrooms and baths met our needs.
The only downside was that the furnace needed a repair, and they were waiting for the part. They had left space heaters to help make it warmer. The management company was very responsive when I mentioned that the space heaters weren't enough. They were able to repair the furnace the same day as my message.
All in all, it is a beautiful property! Just what I needed to refuel by the beach.

We spent 5 days in this house and loved every minute of it. Its bright and airy, cosy, has incredible view of the lagoon and ocean, comfortable beds & linens... what more could we need :-)
I suppose as with most places, the fees rack up on the back end. What we thought was the original per-night fee ended up 50% more. It would be nice that VRBO made that clearer on the listings when we search.

Tranquil getaway
The first impression upon opening the door was the smell of a clean home. The sunlight fills this house with light beautifully all day long, and the upstairs deck provides a serene backdrop of water and giant eucalyptus to breathe deep and relax. The size of the home was ideal for my family of 6 and Aussie doodle, with easy access to a walking trail and beach. Neighbors were nice. Amenities struck that balance between minimalism (ie not clutter) and providing everything we needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great for our adult kids who had their own floor, bathroom, patio with doors etc. Great kitchen, Tesla Charger, Great location near Capitola, Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel. Highly Recommend.

Kitchen wasn’t stocked well for cooking. There isn’t even a bowl to make a salad.
Instructions online did not match house binder, and might cause confusion for visitors, including garbage day pickup.
Property management never responded to any of my questions prior to arrival, they didn’t care enough to reply back.
