Great location

Location was excellent for visiting Bleinham Palace. The instructions for collecting the key were very clearly explained by text message prior to arrival. The welcome basket of treats and bottle of Prosecco a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable, lovely large bathroom and it was nice to be able to sit outside for breakfast and of an evening. Plenty of choice for eating out.

Parking. We used Justpark which was excellent.

This is the second time that we have stayed in the cottage and both times we have felt immediately at home as soon as we stepped through the door. It is beautifully renovated, comfortably equipped and spotlessly clean. When you arrive there is milk in the fridge and a Welcome Basket of snacks and treats including a bottle of Prosecco. In winter you can sip Prosecco in the comfortable lounge with the log burner glowing and in summer you can sit and sip in the sunny courtyard. Perfect! The Woodstock Gate to Blenheim Palace is a short walk away, there are many places to eat out nearby and the bus stop for the frequent buses to Oxford is literally just around the corner.

The location of the cottage is ideal - Woodstock is a lovely village with numerous options for eating out. Essential shops are all there too. The cottage itself was immaculate and very well appointed. The key retrieval worked seamlessly and the instructions were excellent. We all really enjoyed our stay and it was all very straightforward.

Location was excellent. Hosts were lovely and welcomed us warmly with a basket of goodies. Lovely and clean cottage. Communication from hosts was superb. Instructions provided was clear. Deli just round the corner was superb for food, snacks etc. Would recommend staying in this property.

Although the cottage had adequate kitchen equipment in the cottage (including a Nespresso machine), a microwave, although not necessary, would have been useful. But we had a lovely stay, nonetheless.

I found the key safe a bit fiddly, and the taps work the opposite way to most. These are small details, and I would book the same place again next year, if available.

A small detail, but cake on arrival is a trifle unusual in these days. I also found the over-head lights in the living room and the dining room rather stark. The shades ideally would cover the light bulbs.

This is the second visit to Woodstock and The Cottage and it never fails to amaze us. It is spotlessly clean with great facilities and character as you would expect being in the middle of a Cotswold village. The private terrace area is ideal for relaxing after a full day of exploring the area with a glass of wine. Woodstock is a great location which offers everything you need by way of shops/pubs and restaurants and with Blenheim Palace and grounds on your door step always being an added bonus. We had great communication with the host who could not do enough for us in making our stay memorable. We would highly, as always, recommend this cottage and guarantee you will not be disappointed.
