About this house rental
Situated in Varick, this attractive house for R 9,809 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Summary: This elegant lake house is located in the heart of Seneca Lake, and the Wine Trail. Cast Away is in close proximity to some of the best wineries and restaurants Geneva has to offer. Just minutes from Hobart William Smith Colleges, and a short drive to Watkins Glen State Park. Outside there are two decks with space for large groups to have dinner and lounge around. This property also offers a detached game room, a long beautiful dock into the lake with five kayaks, corn hole, and a fire pit! The Space: The house is adorn with new gray flooring giving a modern feel of lake life living. A grand staircase leads to three queen size bedrooms, and an oversized master king bedroom with a smart TV and master bathroom. All bedrooms offer blackout shades and charging stations for your convenience. Upstairs there is also another full bathroom. On the main floor there are two Smart TV's, one in the living room and the other is in a private room that offers a trundle bed that can sleep two. There is also a half bath on the main floor. This house has a large kitchen space open to the living area keeping everyone together while cooking and gathering for meals. We also provide an Amazon Echo to use at your discretion. We have a separate dinning room that can seat up to ten people. The property also has a separate cottage that is rented throughout the year. The cottage has a maximum occupancy of two guests. There they will have access to their own fire pit, grill and kayaks, but the dock and the game room are shared spaces between these homes. This property even has a game room! Inside the detached garage you will find ping pong, PAC-MAN, air hockey, and foosball! This space is available 10:30am - 9:00pm and is shared with the cottage. The backyard has plenty of lawn and deck area if you wanted to picnic or cook on the grill (propane provided). Plenty of seating on the deck and around the fire pit below if you just take the stairs that lead you straight down to the fire pit and shared dock for a swim or take out a kayak. Need more space? Getting Around: Driving Instructions : Turn towards the lake at the second White's Point road sign off of NYS Route 14 (coming north it will be the second whites point and going south it will be after North Whites Point), head east towards the lake, cross the RR tracks, then turn left. Our house is grey with black trim and is the 5th home on your right (lake side). The house that you see, straight ahead of you, when you pull in, is the main house. That is where you are staying. Other Things to Note: Please note: Neighbors live here all year long, please be respectful of them. The town has an ordinance of quiet hours, between 10pm -7am, it is enforced. The town ordinance, only allows 3 cars to be parked in the driveway and one on the grass across from the home. Our Train/RR crossing: we love our trains & barely notice/hear them. They pass infrequently (~1-2/24 hours), are short (

Clean and spacious house with an awesome spot on the lake. Sotting in the chairs on the dock was so peaceful (even in December in Upstate NY!). This place would be an awesome spot to stay at during the summer months with the dock, fire pit, and deck

This property was perfect for our getaway. It was clean, well stocked, and a perfect location. We lost power and the rental company was quick to respond and bring more lanterns. The overall communication was quick and accommodating. Great place!

Wonderful Getaway
Spotless and beautiful. The backyard is under repair due to deck needing reinforcement but being spring we fully enjoyed the deck and dock!
My teens loved the decor and comfort of the beds!
Location is a stones throw from town, Wegmans , and an awesome Craft Brewery aLICe !
My only advice is if you plan on cooking you will need basic things like olive oil, spices , foil… that said there were ample dishes , pots, and pans. Some rentals have a pantry but I fully respect and understand the ones that don’t !
We would go back in a heart beat. The kids even kayaked in the 50 degree sun !!!!

This was an amazing location to take the family on a mini -summer vacation! The house was beautiful and room enough for all of us. There were plenty of things to do on the water. My grandson spent 3 days fishing off the dock- we enjoyed staying here!

We had a wonderful time in Geneva, with Chris’ place as our base. Can’t ask for a whole lot more than this lovely rental, and I’ve never seen a more responsive owner than Chris and her crew. We had 2 small requests/concerns and both were taken care of within an hour. Clean as a whistle, well appointed, great location…everything you want while on vacation. Our only ‘dislike’ was that the room with the trundle bed really isn’t a bedroom…it’s a utility/laundry room with a bed, and is not very quiet. But that really was the only thing I could complain about! Definitely a place I would recommend or stay at again.

Great getaway on Seneca Lake
What a charming and picturesque retreat. The house was even nicer than pictured. It had all the amenities needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this lake house. With great proximity, we explored the wonderful wineries and loved winding down our evenings by the camp fire.
We would definitely recommend this house and area to our friends and family.

Just as advertised. Very clean. Modern decor with all the comforts of home. Comfy mattresses, linens, pillows, extra throw blankets and extra pillows. Contact with owner easy, very responsive during stay. Kitchen fully supplied with dish ware, glassware, wine glasses for 10+, pots, pans, baking sheets, muffin sheets, cake pans, cooking utensils and decent knives for cooking prep. We used the toaster, blender and coffee machines. One Keurig machine with k-cups, creamer, sugar and tea bags for the kettle supplied. Bring your own ground coffee and filters for the drip machine. We drank the filtered water from the fridge, ice machine included too. Only one roll of paper towels provided, we brought additional. Plenty of toilet paper provided. We brought Lysol wipes and requested a spray bottle from the owner to keep things clean on a daily basis. Outdoor grill came in use for BBQ's and we loved the fire pit, we picked up more firewood (2 bundles were provided) and fire starter. Shower linens provided but bring your own outdoor towels for boating and swimming. Three smart TV's in living room, downstairs trundle bedroom and upstairs master were enabled with all the apps you could need for entertainment. Ports Cafe and Halsey Restaurant are highly recommended. Roy's Marina great for boat rentals. Be sure to visit the Seneca Lake State Park on the northern end and walk the path along the water, beautiful!! Outdoor happy hour there too at the visitor center. Stop by Belhurst Castle & Winery and Geneva On the Lake resort to just look around, beautiful properties! The owner of this property, Chris, has multiple other properties. With the heart and soul she puts into her homes, I would stay again and try out her other properties too on our next visit.

I spent the weekend here with some friends and family. We had such a great time. The house was very clean. The kitchen is amazing. There’s so much space. The deck area is perfect. We will be back!

Wonderful
We have vacationed in the finger lake area multiple times over the last 10 years and this was our favorite house. Very clean and comfortable. The layout of the house was great. It allowed us to always be together as a family. The kids absolutely loved the kayaks. We will be back for sure.
