About this house rental
Nestled in Sussex County, this attractive house for R 8,446 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to Hidden Bay Breeze in The Refuge at Dirickson Creek! Why stay in Ocean City, MD when we are super close to it and all the shopping in Delaware is TAX FREE?!! We're about a 7-minute ride to Fenwick Island beaches but within a short paddle of Little Assawoman Bay. You can see the kayak/boat launch from our home. The area is teeming with wildlife and is very quiet and peaceful. Plus, all the resort amenities are FREE! We rent to family groups and friends of families only. We do not rent to groups of people that are not related or who intend to use our home for excessive partying. We have set up our home to sleep 15. We have 4 bedrooms and a den with a queen sofa bed (and it's comfortable!) and 3 1/2 baths. The primary bedroom on the main level has a king-size bed and a huge en suite with soaking tub and large walk-in shower. The den and parlor bath are on the main floor. Also on the main level is an open concept living room/kitchen/kitchenette and a separate dining room. My favorite room of the house is the sunroom as the breezes from the bay are so lovely and with screened in windows on every wall, it's like being outside but sitting inside on gorgeous furniture! It's heavenly with all the windows open (when the A/C isn't cranking, of course!). Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms. There's a bunk room for adult kids or kid-kids that sleeps 5. There's a professional foosball table in there as well as a TV. The other 2 bedrooms have their own en suites. One has a queen-size bed and TV and the other room has 2 twin beds with 2 trundles that can sleep up to 4 and also has a TV. There's definitely plenty of places to hang out - inside and out! All the dishes and most of the furniture in the house is new. The kitchen has newer stainless steel appliances (gas cooking) and granite countertops. We provide the pillows and comforters but sheets/towels/etc. are the responsibility of the guest to either bring or rent. The outside patio has a spacious dining table with an umbrella, seating for 8, plus another area with a table and 5 chairs. There's also a gas/charcoal grill. There's a 2 car garage (parking for 1 car in there because of the kayaks) and then 4 cars can be parked on the driveway. We are all about KAYAKING since we are within walking distance of the boat/kayak launch. We have 3 kayaks that are available to our guests - 2 single kayaks and a tandem. The tandem can be paddled alone or by 2 people. There's room for a small child to sit in the middle of the 2 paddlers. We provide paddles and have 3 adult PFDs, a youth PDF and several children's size PFDs. There are also a few youth bikes & helmets, some tennis rackets, pickleball rackets, a volleyball, basketball, & outdoor games. Kids can play by the creek or walk to the other amenities - pool, tennis courts, pickleball, basketball, sand volleyball, bocce, shuffleboard, tot lot, exercise room/clubhouse. There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for the use of the facilities and they're just a stroll down the lovely street! There is so much to do in Fenwick - great restaurants, shops, boating, golf, outdoor water park, etc. plus we are about 15 minutes from Bethany Beach, about 30 minutes to the outlets in Rehoboth Beach, and we are just on the Delaware side of Ocean City, MD. Our home is perfect for families and friends to get away and recharge. We are NOT a party house. An example of our contract is uploaded to the Vrbo site. Please note that our cancellation policy, outlined in our contract, is more lenient than what is "checked" off on the Vrbo site. We will work with you if something happens and you need to cancel. Feel free to reach out to us before you book if you have an extenuating circumstance regarding members of your party. During high season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) we are requesting Saturday to Saturday stay - check-in at 4:00 and check out at 10:00 a.m. Thank you.

We enjoyed our vacation very much at Wendy's home.
The house is very spacious, comfortable and super well equipped. The children had fun with the bicycles available and the adults greatly appreciated the availability of beach equipment.
We will keep very fond memories of our week spent at Hidden Bay Breeze.

Our family spent a week at Wendy’s home in The Refuge in Selbyville. We’ve stayed multiple times in that area and this house is among the best. Very close to the boat launch so that the kids could crab at night and all the amenities. Bikes and kayaks are provided which is also great. Pool is a short walk and is also included at no extra charge. Beautiful, secluded back patio area. Driveway fits 3 cars and 1 vehicle can be parked in the garage. 5 stars! We hope to stay again in the future!

Our stay at Wendy's was very accommodating. The house was comfortable, roomy, clean and beautifully decorated.There was everything needed for the time spent there. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities. The grounds in the community were very well taken care of as was the pool and all other ammenities. Short drive to the beaches with plenty of free parking in Ocean City Maryland.

We had a great vacation staying at Wendy’s home. There was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The community was quite but there was plenty to do. The home was clean and well stocked. The owner was quick to reply to any questions we had. We will definitely look forward to renting again.

The home was beautiful, spacious and just as described! Our whole family of 15 really enjoyed our week. We really loved having breakfast and dinners on the large patio. The neighborhood was very quiet and a safe development to ride bike. We loved the pool and used it often. We also enjoyed doing some crabbing. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we had everything we needed. The kids loved the foosball in the bedroom. We had 5 children, ages 4-7 sleeping in that room. It worked out great! Wendy was amazing to work with. She always answered my emails right away we so appreciated the Welcome packet with details on every room as well as helpful advice on what to bring. We would definitely come back to this property. It is beautiful!

Our family of nine spent a wonderful week at this property! It is exactly as advertised and reviewed: spacious, clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks in the canal and also loved the short walk to the well maintained pool. The grandchildren are already talking about, "when we come back here." Our recent, memorable family vacation with our children and grandchildren was made all the more enjoyable by this beautiful home and all the amenities in it and in the neighborhood - the wonderful kitchen, dining and family room areas so we could all enjoy being together, the pool (which Wendy pays for so we could enjoy it without additional cost), the kayaks and PFDs so everyone could enjoy the canals, the roomy bedrooms and comfortable beds to rest in at the end of a long and fun day - this home was a total delight to stay at! There were 11 of us and there was still room to spare, and everyone loved the sunroom (well, truth be told I didn't get much chance to enjoy it since everyone else was in it - LOL)! Thank you Wendy for a great week and for always being so quick to respond to a message - you set a high bar for future expectations! All week long I kept thinking of the quote "we didn't know we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun." Can't wait to come back next year, thank you Wendy!

The house was as described and had all the kitchen gadgets which was great since we cooked 50% of our stay. Communication with the host, Wendy was smooth and prompt. This was my annual vacation with my 2 sisters and the house fit all our needs especially the rooms which had an attached bath. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Vacation at the Beach
Wendy house was big enough for our family of 13. From grandparents to kids, it was perfect. Everyone had a bed to sleep in, not a couch. There was your everyday items at the house. This was our first vacation, from my parents, to all our children, spouses, to grandchildren. Everyone loved being able to sit at a table and eat together, telling stories, playing games, and enjoying all being together. Short drive to beach, and all ocean city has to offer, even 3 minute drive to grocery store!
Wendy is a great host, and wants her vacationers to enjoy the house. Wendy is right, the sun room is everyones favorite room. Awesome time !!!!!!! Thank you Wendy !!!!!!

Great family home
Spent an extended weekend here and the stay was amazing! Wendy was a pleasure to work with and was so easy to communicate with. The home is so relaxing and set up perfectly for a large family vacation. We stayed with a combo of adults and kids/babies and all were sad to leave at the end! Will definitely be looking to rent this property again in the future!

We were delighted with our stay at beautiful Hidden Bay Breeze. Our host, Wendy, was so easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. This house was spacious and open for wonderful conversation and fun during our dinners. Speaking of dinners, the kitchen is so well equipped and had plenty of dishes, wine glasses and even plastic cups for the little ones...they thought of everything. Hidden Bay Breeze is located in a beautiful community where we all enjoyed using the pool, the basketball courts and numerous walks with the grandchildren due to plenty of sidewalks. The outdoor patio is very spacious and the grill was clean with plenty of propane. The drive to beach is about 15 minutes and the house is only about 25 minutes from Ocean City boardwalk and night life. The local restaurants and night life is within a 10 minutes of this great house. As this review indicates, we were absolutely delighted with this vacation house and can't say enough about our experience including the comfortable beds. We look forward to another family vacation at Hidden Bay Breeze. Thank you, Wendy for making this home so comfortable.

Amazing week.
We have traveled to Delaware for family beach vacations for the last 7 years. This was the best place we have stayed. The owner has amazing communication, the location is beautiful, the house is furnished and set up for families (we could sit 10 of us at the dining room table), the extras like kayaks and crab traps and beach gear and no fees to use the pool. I could go on and on. Everyone from the smallest to the oldest had a great time and we look forward to returning.

The kids worked out in the gym, ran, biked and skateboarded in the neighborhood and enjoyed mini golf just down the road a bit. No one wanted to leave, so FOR SURE we will be back again.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in this wonderful house celebrating my husbands 30th birthday. The house was amazing, everything was clean, the space was nice and open to accommodate my family of 7 as well as my husbands side of the family. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in this wonderful house celebrating my husbands 30th birthday. The house was amazing, everything was clean, the space was nice and open to accommodate my family of 7 as well as my husbands side of the family.
