We went during winter so there was no one else there but the room was perfect and private hot tub was a plus! Absolutely amazing view and the island itself was a lot of fun to explore. 10/10 experience and will definitely come back again.

Pros:
Located right off the road (but its very quiet) about 15 min from Orcas Ferry and 3 min from Deer Harbor Marina. Easy check-in but when you arrive at night it's very dark. Having the entry light on would have been a plus. Bed was soft. Love the windows, hot tub, TV, fireplace, apple trees outside, large picnic area, BBQ and location.
Cons:
Fridge is small and was pretty stinky. The shower/tub is a tight space and you're surrounded by shower curtains sticking to you. Random cutlery (1 spoon) and cups and bowls.
I would stay again though.

Very clean spot to stay! Plenty of privacy from the other cabins. The views were amazing and the area was quiet. It was an amazing place to catch some peace!

Quiet and serene. Hot tub worked great. Matthews Smokehouse is walking distance with great food.

Our suite was everything advertised and a little more. WE loved the remote quietness of the place , the big deck, and warm, ready hot tub. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.. The huge window bench is a comfortable place to get lost in a great book while enjoying the fabulous views of the local countryside.

My husband and I went to deer harbor this past weekend and the place had several issues.
1. The hot tub- the lid was left off and water level was low when we arrived. Someone came and filled the tub but in 24 hours it went from 92 to 99 degrees. It looks like the hot tub is a problem in multiple reviews and since there are so many problems with it, why is it still listed? We chose this place based solely off the hot tub and we couldn’t go in it. I have a photo of the brown foam floating in it as well.
2. The fireplace rattles. This was also mentioned in reviews as a problem yet it still exists. It is what I determined the heat source. We woke up this morning and it was 56 degrees in the place because we couldn’t sleep with the rattle of the fireplace. How can this not be in the info for the place as opposed to an amenity but a nuisance.
3. The bed creaks. Anytime there is a slight movement in the bed, it creaks something horrible.
4. The WiFi was 1 or 2 bars the entire time.
5. The fire stick didn’t work. Unable to stream with our own fire stick because the WiFi was so weak.
This place is one of the more expensive STUDIO on orcas island and was so much of a let down. Nothing was as advertised and after all the Vacasa fees, it came out to $300 a night. I can not believe after being made aware of all the issues with this place you still rent it out and screw people out of the relaxing weekend they think they are paying for.

Family friendly place. Kids had fun plying corn hole and ping pong, but the place is about a 20-30 minute drive form Eastsound. Overall a pleasant stay.

Unloved and dirty! This place is not worth the money. The pictures do not represent the "real place". The hot tub was great for one night of our two night stay, the second night it wasn't up to temp "VERY DISSAPOINTED". We will NOT be back.

The posting was not clear enough about the lack of kitchen. They put a microwave and a mini fridge in the mudroom area. No tools, no space, no place to wash dirty dishes but the small bathroom sink next to your toothbrush. We brought food to cook and were only able to because we lucked out having nice enough weather to use the grill one day. But they had no supplies for grilling… no spatula, tongs, cookware. We had to go buy a disposable pan and turn food with a fork. It’s a small island with few restaurants, many of which weren’t open as we were there during the off season and a holiday, how are people supposed to feed themselves? The whole thing felt slapped together with minimal care. They clearly took a house and chopped it in two to double their income. No real shower area, just a small tub entirely encircled with shower curtains. Décor is an empty bookshelf and some dishes they grabbed from the kitchen and stuck on the wall. They have a DVD player but no DVDs. The Firestick remote was dead. Luckily we happened to bring an Apple TV box, but the WiFi barely works. The best part of the place was the hot tub, but someone came onto the property and turned it off in the middle of our stay!! It never got back up to temperature so the second half of our stay was hot-tub-less. The island is great and the view is beautiful. If they’d been more thoughtful in the set up, it could have been a decent stay. But as it stands, this place is absolutely not worth the price.

Cute and cozy little room, loved the bear claw bathtub! The room was pretty chilly when we arrived but it warmed up about an hour later. I would recommend if you're going to book this cottage that you really pay attention to the ferry schedule. We made it in well over 2 hours after our check in time and did have a little difficulty finding the room. The ad should say that the entrance to the cottage faces the side of the property where you drive in. We loved it. I thought the bed on first encounter was super hard but it actually ended up that the bed was amazing memory foam and extremely comfortable, the pillows were freaking clouds. We originally booked this cottage for 2 more of our friends and realized a little too late that it's a studio. Oversight on our part. Definitely only book for 4 if you're bringing your own kids or really close friends. Crazy good access to shows and different apps on the TV. I think adding more of a kitchenette could do the room some good. No stove top to cook on and no toaster. We brought a bunch of stuff to cook from home and didn't look at the pictures closely enough to realize all you have to cook with is a microwave. Our little hot tub on the deck had no water in it either so we couldn't even hang in the hot tub. Overall it was a really good experience, but if they added a few more amenities, like the ability to cook, it would've been great. - AC

Nice, quiet space
Lovely location. It was peaceful with pleasant views of the landscape. The hot tub was clean and hot. The beds are comfortable and the space is clean. It was disappointing that the heating unit in the main room rattled and that we were only given two towels for three people. Luckily we brought our own.

Nice location
We enjoyed the hot tub and the TV and fireplace. It was a cozy cabin and the location is very good. The top bedding was not clean and the floors were not swept. Also the bed was very, VERY creaky. We wouldn't stay here again. We were disappointed especially given the price.

Lovely location, comfortable space. Good views. Would have liked the check in information farther ahead than that morning, it made it feel uncertain as we were planning our check in day.

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for 4 nights. Check in was self explanatory. We loved this cabin. It was the perfect size for us. We loved the private hot tub and the BBQ grill on the patio. The view was beautiful and we saw several deer in the area. The only thing I wish the company provided was instructions on how to use the hot tub. We were very confused on how to turn on the jets. The jets eventually turned on by themselves, but it would be nice if there was something to let us know how the hot tub worked. Otherwise, this cabin was perfect for us for a romantic getaway.

We enjoyed the property immensely! It was prefect and exactly what we expected. Absolutely no restaurants are available on Weekday’s evening. We managed to feed the baby Sasquatch at the Food Co-Op on the Island. She was very happy with the food we were able to find for her. The hot tub was definitely a huge hit with her.
Listening to all the birds, the view, and all the memories from the years I spent sailing the local waters was priceless. I’m an old Salish Sea Island girl, and a former sailor.
Driving around the island was definitely a very different experience. Seeing Mount Constitution was a very different experience than the last time I was there. The property is well cared for and comfortable, plus reflects the San Juan Island experience.

A beautiful place for family to gather and enjoy a slower pace.. We really appreciated the Barbque restaurant next door, the kitchen amenities, and the hot tubs. Our grandchildren and pups couldn't have been happier. The small bedroom, without a closet, could benefit from a few hooks for hanging clothes and a mirror not hung over bed where it currently resides. Minimally eight to ten plates, glasses, cups, etc makes sense for the lovely long table which a group can gather around.
