Welcome to Harbor country, home to the magnificent Lake Michigan coastal towns, fantastic restaurants, national parks, breweries and wineries. This sprawling four bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 family room ranch is the perfect place for you and your family. What a great place to create new memories! First floor: -King bedroom with tv, walk in closet, and master bath -Two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom -Spacious dining room with seating for 8 -Large gourmet kitchen with island and additional seating for 4 and plenty of counter space. -Large family room with fireplace and a flat-screened smart TV Basement: -Large bedroom with two full size beds and double closets -Another large family room with flat screened smart tv sectional and couch. Two recliners. -Full bathroom with tiled shower -Pub table and chairs -Laundry room -Ping pong table Backyard: -Outdoor games -Fire pit -Heated pool Nearby: -This location is ideal in so many ways- we are just a short walk to Hummingbird lounge, Brewster's Italian, or waterside fine dining at Bentwood Tavern or The Terrace Room. From our home you'll enjoy the short walk to downtown New Buffalo and the beach. Also we are just an hour away from Chicago by car or Amtrak, you'll soon be steps away to all the conveniences of Harbor Country. Hop on a shuttle to Four Winds Casino, or a short drive to Blue Chip Casino and the Outlet Mall. A great place to take walks to town or the beach as well as bike riding. Tour the wineries and micro-breweries and so much more. For your information the local ordinance has quiet hours at 11pm and we ask that our guests respect that as we live on a quiet residential block. Strictly enforced. For that reason we do not allow bachelor or bachelorette parties. Also we have added an exterior camera to monitor the exterior of our home for liability reasons for our insurance. It is located at the side of driveway. There are absolutely no cameras located inside the house or facing the pool. Pool will be closed October 18- May 10th. There is a house guide in a binder at the property with all the information you will need. Also, City of New Buffalo passed an ordinance, effective 6/14/21, that limits parking to 4 cars maximum, limits number of guests to 14, enforces the noise ordinance and requires a Reservation Summary. That form requests the full name and date of birth for the main contact, full name and age of each guest, and make, model and license plate number (including State) for each car that will be on the property. That form needs to be in the city’s hand no less than 24 hours before reservation. That form will be sent to you in a fillable format but if you would rather send me the information, I can fill it out for you. Thank you for your cooperation.

This is the second house of Mary's that we've stayed at, and they were both great. We had a wonderful time playing ping pong and just watching tv downstairs on the nice big couch. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and the beds were so comfortable. Mary is also very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to come back in the summer!

Never have we had a VRBO property as tastefully decorated or as clean as Red Oak. The owner left no stone unturned when it came to guest comfort. Tasteful and comfortable, with every need anticipated. Thank you so much for a memorable weekend. As we age these short friend retreats become more important each time. Hopefully we will be able to return to this New Buffalo gem this spring.

This house was perfect for my family to come stay at for the weekend. We were all in town from out of state for my sister's wedding and this house fit us all perfectly! My only complaint is that we just didn't get to stay long enough!! Mary was great with communication and we had an issue with a beeping smoke alarm that they came right over and fixed. We will most certainly be back!!

This house was perfect for our group! It has a big open floor plan, which is great for socializing. The pool was amazing, and the cover was very easy to use. Each towels, sunscreen, and bug spray were provided. The basement space is huge! We had two small children under 3 years old, and it was great to put them to bed downstairs and still hang out upstairs without them waking up. All bedrooms have plenty of space and the house is well equipped with towels, shampoo and soap, and plenty of little extras. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

This house/property is just perfect. Great location, awesome pool, it’s stocked with essentials plus all the things that make it easier to travel (lots of towels, good quality shampoo/soaps, coffee, knives, cookware, pack n play, pool toys, to name a few), the beds are comfortable, laundry (so great with young kids!), good beds/bedroom ratio, and Mary and Tom are so responsive and such great hosts. What more could you ask for?

Our stay at Red Oak was phenomenal! The house was very clean and spacious. It was stocked with everything we could need. The house was a perfect set up and we so enjoyed swimming in the pool daily. Mary was easy to communicate with and such a kind, generous host. We will certainly be back!

We couldn’t have picked a better home to accommodate our family! We had 8 adults, 4 children and everyone was comfortable. It was our first time to vacation in Michigan and we plan to come back. The beds were very comfortable and the basement gave us extra room to spread out. The pool was voted the favorite of the week! Thank you Mary for providing such a lovely, welcoming home. Our family made some wonderful memories.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. Mary was very easy to communicate with! The house is so spacious, well stocked and clean. The heated pool was wonderful on the colder days to take the chill off, and we spent many nights around the fire pit making memories.
It only took a couple of minutes to get to the beach and shops/restaurants. We will definitely be returning!

We knew the home would be beautiful but the pictures don't do it justice. The home and property exceeded our expectations. Every room is decorated beautifully and gives you that lake home feeling! We loved our stay at the Red Oak for our birthday weekend! The house was very clean, exactly as pictured, and the owner was extremely helpful, kind and very easy to get ahold of! The location was close to everything we needed. The finished basement was the perfect hangout spot for March madness games as well! Definitely recommend!

Love this home and the heated pool with auto cover was great. The home was clean and well stocked with about everything you could possibly need. The home was close to New Buffalo beach and a lot of things to do for our family. The only negative was the parking. It’s difficult to limit the cars to only 4 when you have extended family visiting. Other than that it was perfect. Great communication with the owner/manager!!

Our group was a bit small, only 5 adults, for the property but we didn't care. the community space and the pool we great gathering spaces as we generally hung out together except for sleeping at night. The pool was great with a convenient motorized cover, plenty of seating with room to just lounge, the right temperature, shade and sun and more. The house was clean, well furnished and decorated and ,importantly, very comfortable. I am hopeful of a return visit.

Family group vacation
This was another “perfect property” for a multi-generation, multi- interest family get together. The bedroom setup is well configured for several families; the bathrooms/showers were great 👍, we always had hot water and plenty of pressure. The grand kids, rising 6th and 3rd graders, were in the pool everyday and also enjoyed plenty of space for craft activities and quiet reading. All enjoyed the front porch and swing. The firepit and s’mores were a hit. Neighborhood is quiet but easily walkable to ice cream, coffee and shops. Mary and Tom were very friendly and quickly responsive to requests. We certainly enjoyed our time at this property!

Another Incredible Stay at Red Oak!
This was our second visit to the Red Oak, and we were not disappointed! We loved the property last year, but the weather did not cooperate. This year Mother Nature made up for it by giving us a full week of sun! We enjoyed lazy days around the pool and nighttimes by the fire pit. We cooked in (the kitchen is extremely well appointed!), ate out (go to Jackie's for breakfast!), played games (the basement is excellent for Game Night!) and just overall RELAXED. There is something about this place that brings our blood pressure down the minute we arrive. Tom and Mary are fabulous hosts -- very responsive, and you will want for nothing! We will absolutely be back again next year!

Return visit as good as the first
My family returned to Red Oak and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. My parents appreciated that they could stay on the first floor and my 86 yr old dad had several swims. We loved gathering on the deck each morning for coffees and memorable discussions. This is a new family favorite location.

Beautiful Getaway Spot!
We stayed at Red Oak as a meet-up spot for three couples. The location was perfect for us to enjoy New Buffalo and visit Journeyman Distillery for an afternoon. Best of all, the house was perfection! We loved the ranch layout and everyone was so impressed with the cleanliness, furnishings and decor. We appreciated the check-in guidance, informative guest binder and the fully-stocked kitchen. Often times, it's difficult to prepare food, make a pot of coffee or find enough wine glasses to go around. That was certainly not the case here. The host, Mary was incredibly responsive and very kind. Beautiful place. Best host. Would love to visit again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful House looked like it was straight from HGTV
This house was perfect for our needs, very clean, comfortable, and updated with all necessary amenities. The layout was great and it looks like it has been newly updated straight from an HGTV show with modern finishes. We were only there for a weekend away, but we are hoping to book again when we have more time. This house is in a quiet neighborhood and only a short 3-5 minute drive to the main beach in town, Main Street and several restaurants. We were two families with five kids total ages 10-15. This house was plenty of space for all of us to comfortably relax, and the ping pong table in the basement was an added bonus that the kids really enjoyed. The owners were extremely responsive and thoughtful. They sent easy and detailed instructions for check in, parking, and overall logistics. I would highly recommend this house.
