The in room heaters are very loud and disrupted my sleep. I would have enjoyed some hot food options such as home fries. There were 2 egg dishes and I am allergic to eggs.

The front foyer was beautiful. The room was clean and jazzy.

The room was reasonably comfortable and it's in walking distance to the waterfront and restaurants, some of which aren't totally sketchy.

I picked this place because I didn't like my previous motel stay in Thunder Bay, but I should have kept looking. The neighborhood seems rather sketchy, and my first impression of the hotel was that it's the kind of place you can rent by the hour or by the month, depending on the clientele. The outward appearance isn't great, and the lobby, if you can call it that, isn't the least bit inviting. The room was decent, but it didn't feel very secure. Access is by a key, and there are no deadbolts or chains, so if you're a nervous traveler, this place may not be for you. I couldn't try the onsite restaurant since it closes at 2 PM. Additionally, if you're a light sleeper, you'll need earplugs to block the noise of passing trains at 2 AM. This place is overpriced for the experience you get.
