Location is good if you travel as a backpacker. The bedlinen was clean, AC worked.

The receptionist charged us more than it was agreed. When I told him he charged us more, he pretended he didn't know what I was talking about. You should see his smile after he managed to scam us. I am a frequent traveller, use booking.com for over 10 years but this has happened to me first time. These are the tricks used in some hotels by stuff, I was aware of that but never expected that could happen in Oman. They gonna pretend that you didn't give them a right amount,especialy if the staff is from a poorer country. I don't mind to give a tip for a good service, but this kind of tricks I don't tolerate, it is a scam. Good advice to fellow travellers, count money in front of the receptionist, don't pass ready money or pay via booking.com. Other tricks..there is something missing in the room..towel, cups, water..etc. So when you report that , the staff expects a tip, although it should be when you arrive. It happened to us regularly. The water was cold.

Excellent location, the Ruwi bus stop is right outside the door & it is 300m to Al Khanjry Transport, the bus to Dubai. There is a supermarket over the road & we found a small traditional Indian restaurant very close to Al Khanjry that served great curry. Spacious apartment, very comfortable bed, helpful staff.

It has the makings of being a really nice apartment, it was just let down by a few simple things: - the bed headboard needs replacing badly, it had paint/bits of plastic peeling off it & looked terrible, -the kitchen had a microwave & a set of elements but nothing else - no cutlery/crockery, no pots/pans, no jug, so no ability to use it, - the cloth covered couch in the lounge was grubby & worn down to the springs

No utensils in the kitchen.
