This home, located in the heart of downtown Ouray blocks from the Ouray Hot Springs pool, is all about its exceptional location. Located within walking distance of Ouray's fine restaurants, shops, and one-of-a-kind galleries, this location is unbeatable. The sunroom features a great Pac-Man game system for you to enjoy! Bed Configuration: Master Bedroom - Queen Bed (Main Level). 2nd Bedroom - Bunk Bed/ Single over Double (Main Level). This property is pet friendly, and the pet is fee is $40/per day (max. $250) with a maximum of 2 dogs. The side and back yard are full fenced in. Parking is available in the back for 2 cars. Main Street parking is available. No overnight parking 11/1 - 5/1. ABOUT THE AREA Nestled at nearly 7,800- Ouray, CO offers year-round outdoor activities and has everything you could want during your Colorado mountain vacation any time of year! In the spring, summer, and fall months visitors enjoy exploring, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding excursions, and fishing. You'll love the summer music series in Ouray's Fellin Park or music in Ridgway's Park! In the winter months bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, or Nordic skis and enjoy downhill skiing in Telluride, a scenic 60-minute drive from Ouray and Ridgway! Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. After a day of adventure enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, and the ever-popular Ouray Hot Springs. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount. In contrast, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

The property is well kept, clean and in a very convenient location. While located on Main Street, it is just south of the busy part of town. it is about two blocks from shopping, restaurants and bars, and two-ish block from the city/community hot springs. The historic house has a great backyard, deck/grill and off-street parking. I would stay here again when I'm back in Ouray.

Overall it was a decent place to stay. We liked the location. The house is 100+ years old and had small issues that need to be addressed. the front screen door needs attention and the larger bathroom door does not close properly and is hard to open. The kitchen had plenty of silverware, dishes, cooking utensils, cookware and bakeware.

The "Cascade Cottage" was charming, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The house was just as described and pictured, and it was very well supplied. The front office nook and desk worked very well for remote work, and the sunroom at the back of the house was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views. The back yard is fully fenced, and the private parking area made coming and going a breeze. Booking with VRC was easy, and they responded promptly to all of my questions. Information about check in and check out and details about the property were clearly communicated. My only suggestion would be to update the instructions about trash and recycle bin collection--it seems to be from the rear of the house versus from the curb on Main Street. Overall, just a fantastic experience. I loved the ease of booking and service from VRC, and I loved the house and loved the town. Can't wait to come back!

Cascade Cottage is the PERFECT mountain home to spend time in the cute town of Ouray, CO. My husband & I stayed here for a few days in August and it was the most wonderful, relaxing getaway! The home is literally on Main St. where you can walk to any & all shops, restaurants, hikes and even the Hot Springs which is just right across the baseball field & park area from the house. The view is spectacular!! The home had every single thing we could possibly need & more! Plenty of dishes, linens, a fan, coffee, washer/dryer with laundry supplies, beach towels, books, games, the list goes on & on. It was super clean & cozy. The management team was very communicative with instructions and was easy to communicate with should we need anything at all. It was a wonderful experience! Ouray was breathtaking so if you're ever looking to travel here, be sure to stay at the Cascade Cottage! You won't regret it!!

Location was great - walking distance to most everything. We brought our dog and yard was nicely fenced and park was steps away. The house was perfect for the two of us. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with a bunk bed with full bottom and single top. Would be good for kids. We would definitely stay here again. We love Ouray!

It would have been nice to receive fewer automatic texts from the management company. Also, it would have been nice to know that it had a standard coffee maker(I hate pods).

Nice location. It is priced accordingly for what it is. The furnishings are old and the house is in need of some TLC since several doors do not close. This was our second time to stay at this house. Property management is not very helpful to resolve issues.

This is a wonderful, historic home located right on Main Street. Walking distance to nearly everything. Super close to the hot springs and an easy walk to downtown. Home was clean, quiet and everything we hoped for. Great views in every direction. Plenty of parking for our Suburban and rental jeep. Can’t wait to return.

Great house, roomy for 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Good yard if you have a dog. Location on Main St right next to the park and Hot Springs can’t be beat for people watching and for a 2 minute walk to downtown or to the perimeter trail. Well-appointed kitchen and plenty of towels, etc.

This house was perfect. We have been to Ouray a few times and this is the first time we have rented a home. Great experience, the property manager was in communication the whole time, everything was clean and stocked. Backyard was very secluded and relaxing. 5 minute walk from the hot springs and main street. Would absolutely rent again. Thank you

Everything went swell for us and hopefully we'll be able to stay at this location again. The only caveat being the master bed. It was too soft and sunk in the middle, making it uncomfortable for a couple to sleep in. Otherwise the house was perfect.

Exceeded all expectations Clean house. Warm inside. Great sound proofing- zero road noise, not that Ouray sees much traffic. Nice little mud room for after a day of ice climbing. Great kitchen by rental standards. All necessary cook ware - plenty of cutting boards and stuff for home cooked meals. Fantastic location- 5 min walk to hot springs, grocery store or down town restaurants. You could even walk to the ice park but we were lazy. The towels for using at the hot springs are a plus.

Property charming, spacious, clean, and conveniently located to everything Main Street has to offer. Well stocked except for a toaster. Queen bed sags to middle but ok for short visit. Be aware that a few missing or short fence pickets may not secure smaller pets and frozen temps, luckily, kept muddy yard from being a messy issue. Overall, will definitely book again!

Cottage was clean, adorable, well stocked with the essentials and perfectly located. We were just a few blocks from all of the shops and restaurants, and a short drive to several spectacular hikes. The fenced-in yard was a major bonus for our pup. We will be back!

We really enjoyed this property. The location is great. It is within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops in Ouray, as well as the park next door, the hot springs and a waterfall.
The house is great with parking in the back, a yard with a small deck, table and grill. The view shows mountains on every side. the inside of the home had everything we needed and we enjoyed all of the spaces, the large dining table and even the electronic game table. We had an issue with the comfort of the beds and the property managers responded quickly to work on a resolution. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location!
This house is very cute and in a great location. We would suggest removing the carpet it did smell when the house would heat up (temps were in the 90's outside). We loved watching the people walk by on main street and letting the dog play in the backyard.

Love Ouray
This is a darling house in a great location. Everything was just as advertised. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need including Keurig coffee maker and blender. We had deer hang out in our front yard. Loved the proximity to town and hot springs, as well as the wonderful views. Thank you for a perfect vacation.

Love the location--super easy to walk to all of Ouray. The kids LOVED the video game and tiny espresso mugs. Washing machine was very fast. Remember, this is in rural Colorado and is more of a cabin than a suburban home. The floors are uneven, you don't get cell service in town, 10th st doesn't have a sign, no lights will be one at night (who wants light pollution in beautiful, rural CO!) and you'll get time to spend with the family!!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely place!
