Beautiful View of Lake Glenville from the front porch of the home.. All bedrooms are furnished with Queen size beds. This cabin is comfortable for sleeping 6 adults. There is a futon couch to comfortably sleep 2 children. The kitchen fully stocked with cookware and equipped with all stainless appliances and custom granite. This home has just the right mix of rustic and class. Situated on Lake Glenville just 4 short miles from Cashiers. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of shopping in nearby Cashiers and Highlands, or a day filled with lake activities, such as boating or relaxing on the beaches of lake Glenville. We have added 3 kayaks for family fun.. The evening can be spent at one of many local restaurants. Finish off the day by sitting on the beautifully decorated porch watching the sunset over the lake! View is spectacular and we love that about this location. However, a bit misleading in that getting to the lake is very dangerous. The house is right on a busy highway so loud traffic noise around the clock and you cannot cross the road there for your own safety much less there's no water access. To use the kayaks you would have to put them in a vehicle and drive to public Access. The noise and the not so much ease of use of the kayaks for a disappointment.

This is an excellent place to stay! Fantastic views and close proximity to lots of opportunities for hiking and water sports! The house is extremely clean, organized and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The property owners are extremely responsive.

If your looking for rest and relaxation this is the place. Cabin is clean and right next to the lake. Hailey is also a very good property manager that will be in contact with you if you should need anything.

The place is pretty in and out but there a few things others should know. If you are driving a truck, good luck. You have to back down a steep hill into a blind corner onto a main road/hwy as there is nowhere you can turn around. Maybe a short cab short bed truck can do it. It simply dangerous or was for us. You need directions on how to heat the house in the winter. Its a game in this house as there is not heat in the bedrooms. If you want to heat the rooms upstairs, you have to use a gas fireplace upstairs and that means doors need to be left open when sleeping or is freezing in the morning. There are thermostats on the walls in the bedrooms and in the main floor but they did not work for me. There is no lighting in the kitchen as none of the switches worked. For what I paid for a couple of nights it just didnt seem worth it to me even if a pontoon boat was included(it wasnt!). Sorry It also says it sleeps 6 The couch downstairs in what I would call a private suite is awesome and this place can easily sleep 3 couples and 4 kids. Once again beautiful place but I dont think it was worth my money especially during the off season. THE BIGGEST THING YOU SHOULD KNOW> THERE IS LIKE NO FOOD ANYWHERE NEAR HERE. You have one option each for basically breakfast lunch and dinner, specifically on a Monday or Tuesday. Nothing is open and that was a nightmare. If you want to eat Wendys(only fast food in roughly 10 miles or so) have a blast. The only pizza place has great pies and the ugly dog pub was cool too but you basically had the option of a burger or another burger.

The Perfect Getaway
The house was perfect. It was cozy, the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked, and the beds were awesome. It was easy to get in and out of.

This experience could not have been more amazing! GORGEOUS home right on the water with access to boating, kayaking and swimming. Minutes away from Nantahala NATIONAL Forest and many, many waterfalls and trails. The home was clean, cozy and welcoming with all the perfect little touches added. Communication with the owner was easy, friendly and courteous. I will recommend her and her properties (and VRBO) to anyone I come in contact with. (I already have friends asking about it) I cannot impress enough stars or good comments on the experience we had. A+++

Lake house stay
The house adequately housed our party of six. I wasn't aware that the house sat along a busy main road. The view of the lake is beautiful from the front deck. The available kayaks allowed us to enjoy time on the lake. Great fire pit for evening marshmallow roasting.

We had some trouble getting a boat rental and Hailey was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get a boat and take full advantage of the property.
The home is very well appointed - furniture is all super comfy and everything in the kitchen was brand new. So many places put their old burnt pots and pans in rentals - not this place. Everything was new and nice.

Exceptional management and property
We had some trouble getting a boat rental and Hailey was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get a boat and take full advantage of the property.
The home is very well appointed - furniture is all super comfy and everything in the kitchen was brand new. So many places put their old burnt pots and pans in rentals - not this place. Everything was new and nice.

This home was beautifully situated on Lake Glenville- the owner took care of all the essentials making it so easy to settle in and relax . TP, garbage bags, dish pods , firewood and starters , toiletries towels and linens , a bottle of wine to welcome us also !! Additionally she had a 25 page binder with things to do in the area with a welcome Family page .. All the little touches made this stay easy and special !!

The location right on the lake provides easy access to Glenville, Cashiers and other small towns. Our only issue was the fairly constant road noise down below as the cabin is right off the highway but it blends into the background fairly quickly. We had a wonderful time!

Great week in the mountains!
I've never had easier communication in any VRBO property before. Hailey was a dream! The cabin had everything we needed. The kayaks were so enjoyable! The ONLY drawback to this property is that it's the first house off the road so there was a good bit of traffic noise during the day but wasn't really bothersome at all. We all had a great time and would definitely do this again.

Terrific Mountain Getaway
Cozy cabin overlooking Glenville Lake was well stocked, had all we needed for a great trip.
The road out front was a little loud, but the setting took our breath away.
The driveway was a little tricky, but we got used to it quickly.
Overall this was a perfect cabin in all ways! We love the cozy cabin, the sites, and all the waterfall adventures!

Brilliant and Beautiful Views
Lovely cabin and so cozy with my two young adult children. The internet worked perfectly and all the amenities made it very easy. We are already considering rebooking in June so we can enjoy the fire pit and water activities. Hailey was a lovely person and gave us a late checkout which was wonderful! Thank you for sharing your cabin!!

We enjoyed our stay, and loved the location to the lake and the surrounding towns. I know the property is for sale, but the dishwasher did not work, the driveway is a pain to get in and out and the mattress in the second bedroom could be replaced. But beside these issues, our stay was enjoyed by everyone.
