Only positive thing is the location.

I traveled a lot and never ever have I experienced such a dirty and uncomfortable hostal. The windows did not close. The ventilator was not working properly and the sheets were dirty. There was only cold water and no toilet paper. In the middle of the night we woke up because of all kinds of insects walking on our body. The lady working there offered us another room but we just wanted to leave that place. So we left in the middle of the night.

Location and cheap price.

Many bed bugs....after change bed and change room still have many bed bugs! And cleaner will touch everything,even the personal items on table...

- The location was great, next to “el mercado” - We booked for a private room for 2 but were actually given a dorm for 6 people with bathroom all for ourselves (no other people would come during our stay), this was nice - We were offered all the different activities from the hostel, which we didn’t make use of since we wanted to do some low-budget stuff on our own (worked out great) - The “mercado” was just around the corner and was awesome - The location was safe and tourist-friendly

- Breakfast would have been nice (wasn’t included so it’s no complaint), we had a “batido” at the mercado which was juuuust fine - Our room didn’t have warm water (there wasn’t a warm-water tap), other rooms did - The shower in the reception hallway didn’t have a tap at all so we couldn’t shower before we left (we had checked out already but were offered a shower in reception) - The receptionist tried to sell his “Camino Real hike (16km)” with guide for 100000 + extra costs for transport/food/access, telling us it would be dangerous if we didn’t take the guide and that people who tried it on their own had actually got lost and died. Eventually we did it on our own, and we managed just fine, the hike was safe and easy (using maps.me). It just seemed it would have been overpriced and they were a bit pushy about it, very eager to sell it
