About this house rental
Stay at our beloved Osprey House - named for the Osprey family that makes it's summer home in the baseball fields across the street. Watch the majestic birds from the second floor deck while drinking your coffee in the morning. The townhouse is new, designed from the start with vacationing families (including ours!) in mind. The house is maintained and appointed just like the vacation rentals we like to stay in. Two king bedrooms plus "bunkhouse" lower level with 4 twins. Private river access Three bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, new construction townhouse in the River West neighborhood 1 mile from the center of Salida. Comfortable king beds in two bedrooms upstairs with new bunkbeds and daybed with trundle on the bottom floor, plus 4th standalone twin, to give the kids their own place to hang out. Pack and Play available as well. Two full bathrooms with tubs to wash the dirt off the kids upstairs and a half bath and laundry downstairs. The house has a large two car garage with room for cars and skis, bikes, boats and all the toys. Stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, fenced yard, cable TV, wireless internet -- ready for your fun-filled vacation in Salida! Relax and explore the quaint town of Salida after enjoying all of the year-round outdoor activities that the Arkansas River Valley has to offer. From world class mountain biking and hiking, including the Continental Divide trail, to fun four-wheeling in the Collegiate Range to skiing at Monarch Mountain, and more. The house is located steps from private neighborhood access to the Gold Medal Trout waters of the Arkansas River. We hope you love Salida and the Arkansas River Valley as much as we do! The house has fans in all the rooms with a whole house fan in the hallway to pull in the cool night air during the warm summer months. Local property manager for any needs during your stay. Safeway and a great local coffee shop are a short 6 blocks away, and easy access to downtown and the Monarch spur trail. This front yard is xeriscaped and fenced in (4 ft fence). The house was perfect for 6 of us. We were visiting for a wedding and this house was central and close to town so we could walk to man y of the events. It was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. All of our needs were more than met and we loved it! I would recommend a stay at the Osprey House. We will be back!

Our family and another family stayed at this property for our 3rd annual spring break ski trip. It was the perfect size and great location. We were able to walk downtown easily along the river for part of the way. It had all amenities we needed and more! We would definitely stay there again!

This townhome was set up perfectly for families with young children. There were toys, movies, and games and a great fenced in yard. Nice proximity to town and the Arkansas river. Very clean and well stocked home. Great hosts!

Location was convenient and our evening view of Christmas Mountain from the couch was spectacular. We have been spending Christmas week in Salida for 6 years now and having an oversized garage that fit our SUV with ski rack was a bonus! This house was very prepared for families with small children, (which we do not have)… baby dishes, play-pens, baby gates, etc., but it was not as loaded with the cooking extras that we needed for a family that enjoys to cook at home (garlic press, casserole dishes, cheese grater). We were disappointed there was not a Christmas tree as promised but the walking trail just outside the door made for a lovely walk by the river right into town with trees glowing in rotary park. Everyone around us had dogs to walk and it was fun to meet and greet them. Overall it was comfortable, convenient and modern.

Very comfortable. Lots of room and the house is very well stocked. Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. We walked into town multiple times and it is right on the trail for running and biking which is very convenient. Highly recommend

We loved this property. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the location is perfect for enjoying the creek path and downtown (if there wasn’t a pandemic going on!) and the house was incredibly clean. We loved this condo and highly recommend.

So many thoughtful amenities inside. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Can’t do better from a location/view standpoint in Salida.

1 Month Home Base - Perfection!
My family of 4 rented the Osprey House for over a month and it made for a spacious, fabulous home base for our Colorado adventures. We had family come to visit during our stay and the space was quite comfortable even with 2 families. The layout of the house, especially the kids large bunk room downstairs, was very convenient. Having a fenced yard for our fur baby was truly helpful.
The house is immaculately clean.
The linens were soft and superb.
The beds and pillows were truly comfortable with several options for firmness.
The kitchen was perfectly stocked. Nothing was lacking for even a 1 month stay.
The location was fantastic....1 min walk to the river walk and a lovely little sand "beach" where we could splash when the Arkansas warmed up. Being next to the ball fields was great for the kids and there was a safe area around the house for them to ride their bikes.
Easy ride or walk (< 1 mile) to F Street, grocery stores, restaurants, yoga studio, etc.
The Osprey house can't be beat and Salida is a welcoming town for outdoors adventure enthusiasts and foodies. We highly recommend and would rent again in a heartbeat.

The accommodations were nice. We found cooking a problem not enough large pans for cooking chili, pork butt, ham, No cake pans for baking a bundt cakes or layer cakes, No muffin tins. I think a lot of people do take out. We can't fee teenagers like that.

Ideal Spot for Families in Salida
The Osprey House was the ideal location for our family during our stay in Salida. Just a short walk from parks and downtown, but far enough away to mellow out at the end of the day. The property was clean and spacious with modern amenities that kept our two small daughters safe and entertained between all the great outdoor activities that Salida and the surrounding area has to offer.

We had an amazing time at The Osprey House! The place was amazing. Clean, roomy, great mountain views and close to many fun areas. Salida is such a cute little town and this house is within walking distance of the downtown area. The beds were soooo comfortable and the house had everything we needed to cook and hang out and simply relax! We have already told others about it! Thank you for such wonderful accommodations!

Fantastic location!! Wonderful, clean, comfortable home with ample room & beds for 7 people!! New unit was awesome & even had a 2 car garage where we could safely leave our bikes.
Just wish I had taken our dog as the property is fenced & set up for pets as well. Highly reccommend!!!

Nice clean well taken care of place. Close to the river and walk to town. Path by the river is very well maintained and provides easy access to the river and the little lake west of the property. We were very comfortable in the condo - would definitely use it again!

A Fantastic Place to Stay in Salida
The Osprey House is a fantastic place to stay. It’s a short walk to the river and downtown if you want to take advantage of the great eateries. The Neighborhood is quiet and updated. The house is clean with nice linens and accommodations throughout. I will definitely stay at the Osprey House when I’m back in town.

Family Trip
The property was clean and in a great location!! We even enjoyed the softball games next door. The house is an easy bike ride to town or around the bike path. We were able to use the grill and had what we needed to cook. Very nice stay.
