This beautiful property incorporates a well-adorned kitchen with many amenities for the culinary enthusiast, striking views and large skylights that flood the bus with light. This bus was converted in 2021, giving it modern style full of charm and comfort. It is equipped with electric heating & 2 window A/C units. The shower has a handheld wand & a tankless water heater for instant hot water. A built in vanity, provided hair dryer, top dollar paper goods, provided clothes hangers, electric appliances, Keurig & a variety of flavors, sugar & creamer, along with oil & spices plus extra linens and pillows really seal the deal! You can Kayak, Paddleboat and fish at no extra charge. This bus is fully equipped!! We had a great time and will make this a regular spot to stop on the way to our beach vacay. Our son (4) loved the houseboat and it was just as described! It is so close to cool shops and our favorite spot to eat, Trapp's.

The entire process was seamless, and Lacey was the upmost attentive and caring host! My four-year-old loved it, and the location was close to everything you need! We travel through this spot twice a year at least, and this will become our regular spot! We look forward to stopping here again. So unique, safe location, comfy bed and beautiful views of the river! We were passing through and stayed only one night-- had a great time in this super fun renovated bus. Our host was so friendly and kind. Wish we could stay longer!

We're in-towners who wanted to give our 7-year-old granddaughter an interesting sleep-over. We all had fun. The owner obviously put a lot of thought and planning to make the school bus a comfortable experience in a great location with a beautiful view.

I was in the Monroe area for ULM’s homecoming and was happy to be able to book Bruiser again. I’ve stayed once before, and with friends from Ruston to Monroe, this was the perfect spot. Kiroli park is only a few minutes away and is a great place for people and pets to get a little exercise, and there are tons of dog-friendly restaurants and shops a short drive away. Bruiser feels very cozy and safe, and the view of the Ouachita is so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

Very unique place to stay and great views of the river. My dog and I stayed for an overnight trip through Monroe. Very pet friendly and cute outdoor area perfect for the evening time with the outdoor lighting. What a great use of the school bus, nicely done !

Perfect Spot
My brother and I met in the middle for a trip down Memory Lane, and we’re thrilled with our little landing spot! The skoolie is so unique, and we loved the location along the Ouachita - will definitely be back!

Gave me the opportunity to show grand kids how cool their grandfather is. They stopped by and had breakfast in the court yard setting and they went crazy. If you are looking for unusual VRBO, safe, clean and comfortable this is the place. Great view and over the top cool for 72 year old grandfather.

Bruiser Love
The scenery was so great! It just shows how much love went into this bus. It's way larger and functional, than the pictures let on. Loves every detail of our stay. I can't wait to go again!

Cozy Riverside Getaway
It was so nice in nature. It's comforting to watch the water and eat at the little area outdoors. The bus has everything you could possibly need. Plenty of room to cook or get something from the store. I personally enjoyed the details of the bus and the view. I've really never seen anything like it. That's exactly what I wanted on my trip! Thank Bruiser for making stay a lovely one.

Overnight get away
Newly remodeled schoolie bus with everything we needed. Comfortable bed with nice linens. TV with DVD player. Wifi. The property is being improved by the owners to make the space more enjoyable and spacious. Dock for fishing or relaxing. Very close to city center restaurants shops etc. Downtown is pretty desolate on Sunday and Mondays but also made it very enjoyable to avoid crowds for a overnight or two quiet get away.

My husband and I were very impressed by the bus conversion! I loved the soft blankets and comfortable bed. Hostess went the extra mile to provide little extra amenities. She also even brought us a remote when ours stopped working. However, we had the AC and fan on high and it was still blazing hot. We ended up getting a hotel our second night because we couldn’t deal with the heat.

Hostess with the Mostest
The love that the owner of this property put into it is visible everywhere you work from when you first walk up to the door to the happy flowers in the blooming cactus until you make it all the way back through bruiser into the bedroom where you have the twinkle lights and chargers already there for your phones. She placed men’s and women’s products in the bathroom big huge fluffy towels that you can lose yourself in along with smaller ones for your hair a blow dryer and a good toilet paper not the cheap one ply stuff LOL… She arranges the dishes instead of just throwing them on the shelf which goes along way for someone like me (suffering from a touch of OCD myself LOL LOL). I stayed over Mother’s Day and she never was a mom and she took the time out of her morning to tell me happy Mother’s Day via text how sweet is that. Oh yeah I forgot to say she even put a bug spray on the table outside. I loved Bruiser and I love its owner I will be back.
