The location was so peaceful and there was a really nice area outside to sit, in the gardens and an area to BBQ and play darts with a cosy covered area.
The room was spotless and had a homely feel with several complementary refreshments available. Each room is based on an animal theme and is decorated to reflect this which was a nice touch.
The breakfast choice was excellent and the locally sourced sausages and eggs from the chickens onsite were excellent along with nicki’s homemade muffins.
Both Chris and Nicki were excellent hosts who were very attentive and paid real attention to detail prior to, and during our stay.
We would definitely recommend the venue and will return in future to stay whilst we visit more of the local area.
Nothing that I didn’t like, the only thing was I assumed all the rooms were en-suite and our bathroom was separate ate. This was a large bathroom with a beautiful freestanding bath and a separate shower also, but I was just concerned about disturbing other guests during the night.

We loved the farmhouse, it had lots of character. Great double room and bathroom. Nice to have some extra toileteries. Chris and NIcki are lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was very good.
The location was good. Lots to see and do. Great long weekend.
The Wi -fi was a bit erractic in our room. Also most of the Tv channels didn't work. Probably because of the Wi-Fi.

Beautiful quiet location. Friendly hospitable hosts. Very comfortable accommodation with plenty of hot water. An excellent breakfast with plenty of vegetarian options.

The area around Lower House is absolutely STUNNING, it feels like you're traveling through a fairytale book. The hosts are lovely, attentive and affable. The breakfast was flexible with many options available, and the hot food was cooked to perfection. There was a guided forest walk nearby on the day we arrived. In the room we found flapjacks, in case we were peckish on arrival, a bottle of fresh water, plus a couple of small bottles in the fridge, and little chocolates on the beds. There is a gorgeous giant chess set outside - good for exercising your brains and your muscles!

Excellent cooked breakfast and an additional choice of cereals, pastries, etc. The location was very peaceful and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful with their local knowledge of things to do and places to visit.

Nicki and Chris are the best hosts ever! Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable room in a beautiful house and setting. Wonderful breakfast choices (including both to-may- toes and to-mah-toes: Chris can explain), well prepared and scrumptious.

Beautiful, quiet location and very attentive and friendly hosts. Great breakfast. We stayed in the Stables Cottage, which was comfortable, with nice touches. The bath was a bonus.

Historic house with some original features, set in lovely quiet rural area, with comfortable beds & lovely ambience throughout house, clean, all contributed to a pleasant break for a couple of nights. Breakfast well cooked & plentiful, the hosts were warm & welcoming. This B& B is situated close to great walking routes, which suited us.

Couldn’t have asked for more welcoming hosts. Nikki and Chris we’re wonderful. Idyllic spot, excellent food and very comfortable! Would be back in a heartbeat. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Nothing was too much trouble ,both Nicky and Chris were very knowledgeable about the area and gave suggestions for good days out , and fresh laid hens eggs for breakfast and locally sourced produce made for a superb breakfast .

Extremely peaceful place to relax and unwind. Chris and Nicki were extremely helpful and polite. Anything we asked for was done straight away. Exceptional customer service. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

This stay was fantastic! The hosts are so kind and helpful! We loved the location and the atmosphere of the accommodation. Chris and Nicky have made this place very cosy, clean and peaceful. They can be very proud. The breakfast is amazing, there is so much choice and although we don't eat much in the morning, we enjoyed it very much.
Everything you need is there. There is a fridge, a hairdryer, even a dressing table.
The only thing I can think of is one extra chair, because now, one person has to sit on the bed, which is also no problem. All the rest was excelent. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we want to thank Chris and Nicky for all their good care.

Lower House was in an idyllic spot, and didn’t fail to impress. Nicki and Chris went far beyond our expectations of a genial host, and we would love to visit again.
The breakfast was lovely, and Nicki ensured that they could meet my dietary needs without a fuss.

Chris and Nicki were very friendly and welcoming hosts and keen to help us make the most of our stay. The property is in a very quiet rural location, and very peaceful. A mini-fridge was nice to find in the room, along with items to welcome us. The private bathroom was big and included both a bath and a shower. Breakfasts were really great with plenty of choices and generous servings (eggs from the chickens in the garden!). We were staying for an event nearby and it was nice that the host family visited it as well.

A lovely traditional farmhouse in a wonderful rural location with easy access to numerous local attractions. Chris and Nicola could not be more welcoming and have thought of everything to make their guests’ stay as comfortable, luxurious and hassle free as anyone could hope for. We were even able to charge our electric vehicle there, which was a huge unexpected bonus. The breakfasts are ample and delicious and really set us up for the day. We found we didn’t need to eat again until the evening and there are plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants in the area for that. Though it is wise to book these ahead at busier times such as school holidays.

Chris and Nikki are super hosts - they could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Our room overlooked the garden and was so peaceful and quiet. The breakfasts are excellent with a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries and yoghurt. Hot food is cooked to order. There is masses to do in the area - many places to visit, fantastic walks. Many great pubs and restaurants just down the road for eating out. We would love to stay and again and would highly recommend!
We could not think of anything! Had a relaxing three days away that ticked all the boxes. Lower House would be a great stay with family and friends

Wonderful breakfasts plus treats in the room. Only drawback for us was not being able to walk to a pub or restaurant. Chris and Nikki are lovely hosts and the garden is beautiful.
