Our family (2 Gen X, 2 millennials, 2 gen Z adults) decided to regroup in the Berkshires for Thanksgiving. This cottage provides a comfortable and cozy spot to meet up. We loved watching the pond change as it started to freeze and thawed every day. The sunrises were amazing and the cottage was well-equipped with games and puzzles for bad weather days. Nearby we enjoyed the wineries and a brewery as well as a nice hike near the Shaker Village.

Very relaxing place to spend a long weekend, with many homey comforts and perks. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the pond, kayaking, watching hummingbirds, seeing stars on a clear night, and seeing a beautiful sunrise. The house had everything you would need and also lots of nice extras (including a hammock, hanging basket swing, binoculars, birding book, etc.) and was close to museums and activities. We had a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay on Richmond Pond. The home was comfortable and centrally located to Tanglewood and other attractions. Kayaking on the pond was a nice addition and respite from our full agenda for the week.

The cottage was comfortable and clean. The pond was gorgeous and peaceful, and the fishing was excellent - even right off the dock! We had a wonderful family vacation there.

Beautiful setting! The pond was quiet and peaceful this time of year. We took full advantage of the canoe and kayaks and the location so close to places to explore in the Berkshires.

Paul was a fabulous, responsive host. Perfect size for our extended family of between 4-6 guests. Love the setting, the convenience of laundry, air conditioning and modern, clean kitchen and bath. We loved the fire pit, kayaking from the yard and the easy walk to the beach area to swim. Will definitely come back for lots of relaxation and fun

Took a Chance and....
We booked a family weekend in the Berkshires for New Years, with the hope of doing some skating and skiing. Sadly, what we got was three days of rain. So we needed to improvise.
We have booked "summer" houses for winter trips before, but this time the heating system was just not up to the job. The main floor of the house was cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately, the third bedroom was downstairs, and we never could get that room or the adjacent family room warm enough.
That said, the pond was beautiful, and our grandkids loved the cute penguin on the deck. The upstairs living space was nicely renovated, and the kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed. We ended up spending more time indoors than we had hoped, and the main floor was a bit tight for six people (not quite enough room at the dinner table, for example). This would not be a problem for anyone who is using the house for its intended purpose (in the summer and shoulder seasons), when the outdoor space would be available.
The Berkshires are always stunning and, even though we didn't see a flake of snow or a ray of sun, we got some beautiful memories to take back home with us.

We spent a lovely weekend at this property in mid-October and had a great time. The lake is beautiful, particularly with fall foliage around. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the gas fireplace in the living room was a real treat on the cool fall evenings. There are lots of things to do in the Berkshires, with nice small towns and to visit and several museums in the area, as well.

This sweet house very much feels like a home rather than a rental property. Kayaking on the pond was easily the highlight of our trip (even compared to driving through the mountains during peak fall color). The pond is quiet, beautiful, and the crisp fall air just takes it over the top. At one point I told my husband I was not going to leave and I'd just sleep in the kayak. :-) Our four kids loved it too. The 14yo favored the swing chair with a blanket and book and watching musicals all together after dark. The little girls, 11 and 10, couldn't get enough of the kayaks with quick fire roasted marshmallow breaks to rest their arms. And, to our surprise and delight, our five year old can independently paddle a kayak! He kept insisting that he could do it and we kept placating him with compromises. Finally after concerns that he was going to flip mommy by wiggling in the back of her boat, I gave in and gave him his own kayak and oar. He was so good at it and so proud of himself. Such a priceless memory (and pictures)!

We had a wonderful weekend at Paul's place on Richmond Pond. The listing and pictures are very accurate, but don't do justice to the view. As soon as you walk in the door you can see straight out to the water and it's an amazing view. All weekend long, just being able to look out over the water helped everyone relax and really feel like we were on vacation and away from the busy world. The water was great and even warm for the end of September so we could swim and also paddle board and kayak. Having several kayaks and paddles there for renter use was a great feature. There was lots of outdoor furniture, and we enjoyed the fire pit on the cool nights. The furniture inside was very comfortable and the house was very well appointed. The neighborhood was also very nice and quiet and great for walks. The location overall can't be beat. It's an easy drive from the Albany area and from CT so you don't need to spend a long time in the car to get to a great "get away" spot. We would love to go back, and I could see any time of year being a good time to visit. Paul was very helpful and accommodating and overall a great host. His place was everything we wanted and were looking for to enjoy one last summer vacation and recharge for the fall.

Our family spent 7 relaxing nights here in July. The views of the pond are gorgeous and added to our sense of peace inside the house as well as out on the deck or in the yard. The community association beach was one house down and was a fun place for our family to swim. We loved taking the kayaks out on the pond; folks were friendly and the mountain views were fantastic. We were impressed with how clean the house and how well stocked it was with basic amenities for the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, plus fun stuff like books, games, and streaming apps as well as floats for the water; we really appreciated the attention to detail. Paul was easy to connect with, open to feedback, and intent on making our vacation spot as pleasurable as possible. It felt like home away from home. The convenience of travel to all areas of Western MA from the location was unbeatable. It's a neat spot; we hope to return some day!

The location was fine...however the air conditioning was not adequate. It was very hot and very damp especially in the bedrooms. The third bedroom is actually in the basement and it was far too musty to hang out down there. The towels, bedding, the mattresses and family room furniture need to be replaced.

Beautiful spot
The house was clean and comfortable. The pond is actually bigger than we thought it was going to be - felt more like a lake. We used the kayaks and the fire pit and ate every meal on the deck. We also enjoyed lots of local spots - like the vineyard that is in walking distance and had bbq and live music and the awesome bookstore in West Stockbridge just a 10 min drive away! The neighborhood was very quiet - no crazy powerboats or jet skis - we felt like we were the only vacationers there! Paul was helpful and we had a wonderful stay.

Great little house near the Berkshires right on the pond. Worth setting the alarm to watch the sun rise.
