The first day we got there we noticed the place looked dirty, especially the sheets. The TV only worked for 1 day and we did not expect the owners of the house to be upstairs and us to be downstairs hearing them all week. As the week went on we found numerous cockroaches everywhere and everyday in the house. The final straw was a giant cockroach crawling along the wall. This caused us to leave our vacation a day early. We will not be renting here again, nor do we recommend it.

Not impressed with Vacasa as the mgt company which tainted the trip overall. The "apartment" is small, dark and furnished with very heavy, dirty cushioned furniture. Beds fortunately were relatively comfortable. The beach access was nice except you had to go up and down the steps from the first floor exit then back down the steps at the beach. The outdoor seating is very misrepresented-again if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy the beach view you had to go upstairs and sit in the plastic chairs, no real privacy from the second apartment not to mention the upstairs unit is in grave disrepair. Upon entry the place appears clean but our second morning there I was greater by several red cockroaches, not palmetto bugs, in the shower. This is a problem for me as I am allergic to them. Communication through Vacasa was good on things that drove their business but not good for things that benefit the renter. This apartment needs lots of work and to say it would be comfortable for more than 2 people is an overstatement. I will not be renting another property through Vacasa.

Good access to the beach.

The beach is great.. Not to far from Myrtle Beach.

The property was just as advertised. Right on the beach, cozy and has a great history if you read the book on the shelf. It is one of the few original pre-Hazel houses. Great house in a beautiful area for a great price. However, I would suggest some new cushions on the chairs and couch as well as the bedroom closest to the beach to use a queen bed so two people could sleep in one room comfortably. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The first night my sister and I were there we saw a few small cockroaches. I was assured that they were coming out to die after the last spraying… Our first full day when we arrived back that evening there a bunch of them all over the place! It took us over an hour to kill all that we found, (as they kept turning up)! We sprayed all over several times with a spray we made with peppermint oil, hoping that would help. I called the after hours number to report this and was told that someone would get with me first thing in the morning the next morning we were still seeing some bugs and hadn’t heard from anyone yet, so I called the local number at about 9:45 AM. Maintenance personnel met exterminator at the house, and reported that they could not find any bug activity. We were told that it was from being sprayed, and these bugs were coming out to die, and all the years that I have been renting houses at the beach and all the years that I have lived in North Carolina I have never run across anything like this before, I feel that I should be refunded all or at least part of my money as I was told that the problem was taken care of befor I rented the place! Unacceptable!

We loved this place. Clean & great location. I loved the clothesline and outdoor shower. Plenty of room to cook a good meal and a nice picnic table outside. We loved our stay.
